Live in Texas City, been there dozens of times, never even a bite. There's too many other places too close by to waste my time anymore. It's a always a winner if you're there to drink cheap beer and hang out with buddies while "fishing" though.
Nice video. Way to grind it out. I love beer battered fish. They make a packet you can buy but I like your recipe. Plain old flour and cornstarch. Good job. Looked delicious! A little malt vinegar and voila!
I have to remind myself of that all the time! I always try tend to cast out off the rocks first but makes just as much sense to cast right up by the rocks as well.
Lady Fish aren't trash most people don't know how to to clean and cook them. Step 1. Scape off the Scales and Cut down threw the belly and remove guts. Step 2. (This is Optional but for better results follow) keep them on Ice for 3 days in cooler. Step 3. Open up Lady Fish and use a Spoon to scrape out the Meat from the bones and and skin. (The meat is soft and sticky like that of Ground Beef). Step 4. Take Lady Fish meat and put it in to a bowl, mix in chopped or sliced vegetables and seasonings of your choosing. Mix it well. Step 5. Turn the Lady Fish meat mix into patties. (Cover it in breading and fry in oil if you wish to make Lady Fish Croquettes). Step 6. Pan Fry, Grill, or Bake in oven (with cooking oil Olive or other for best results). Alternative dishes are Fish Tacos, Fish Dip, Lady Fish Poppers or Lady Fish Sandwiches.
Fishing at the dike is like fishing on hard mode.

What is the best time of day to catch speckled trout at the dike?
I went couple days ago and caught 19 inch speck in the beginning of the dike on jighead , nothing but lady fish on live shrimp .
Nice catch! Thanks for watching!
Nice job, Bro👍
Thank you man!
Good info on jighead & mullet I got to try it bro
Never been there How deep is the water around the dike?
I’m going fishing and crabbing tomorrow!❤
Seabrook Spillway is where I'd fish as a kid, there and by Clifton By The Sea.
61st pier rocks was killer the past couple days. Caught a limit on specks, 20” red and a flounder to finish off the night.
Sounds like a great day of fishing! Nice!
That’s the OG spot
Amazing video. I’m going to saltwater fish soon and was wondering what braid I should use for my penn battle 4000 and what diameter?
Thanks for watching! I like power pro, and 20-30 pound should be good for a 4000

Isn’t there an advisory against eating spotted trout and catfish from that area?
Taste great!
NIce video bro!

Do you know they have a project coming to make it even longer??
Really? I haven't heard about that!
That’s the only pier i know that you can drive on
One is better than none 😂
No doubt!
I’m new to the corpus area, what are some good fishing spots?
pretty much everywhere. the marina. under the causeway bridge. the two piers off the causeway bridge. just drive to the water
@@rockyclick371tourist areas for you guys. Lol
Nothing beats a humble fisherman. Too many egotistical attention loving maniacs fishing out there
I caught specks off of a finger mullet off of a jig head
Yoo so early
Thanks for watching!
Yoo I just cut my foot open with the rocks in the dike I had stitches the same day
Oh dang, got to be careful out there for sure! Sharp and slippery rocks are no joke!
Yeah, there is still a small piece of shell in my foot, really high chance of infection, im taking 2 types of antibiotics every 6-12 hours
me, a lesbian: *looks up every time he says 'dike'*
Bro, you not supposed to be eating the fish that come from there😰
