We just got our Blackstone Griddle Tailgater and its pretty awesome! I wanted to do an unboxing and setup video for you in case you were having any issues with it. I really like this unit! It has the small griddle on the right and a small grill box on the left. I love my Blackstone Griddle that I already have but this one seems to be pretty versatile and MOBILE... my favorite part is the ability to fold it up and go... and its fairly lightweight. This was great. My instructions didn’t include what to do with limiting ring, so lid of grill box opened fully. It also didn’t include instructions on what to do with lever knob. This video helped and was very entertaining

MY DIRECTION book mentions nothing about those front grill clips! Thank goodness for youtube. I felt like I tore down a motor, reassembled and had extra parts! Hhmm ! Scratching head. But then.... your video! Wahooooo! THANKS!

Just got my Blackstone Tailgater this weekend and put it together, took me one very large glass of iced tea. Your video helped a BUNCH, especially about the clips for the grill. I got the griddle seasoned good, but how or did you season the grills?
Mrchip3040 I followed the same process for the griddle and it worked out great. I try to keep my unit in my garage to prevent rust too

I've had this for 3 years. Its ok, but you want to replace the regulator it comes with. The packaged regulator doesn't put out enough gas, and that's why these can stuggle in the wind and in colder temps. I got a $16 reglator off Amazon and never had a problem since. The griddle is better than the grill. The grill does hit 500F but its flame prone due to the round gas jets being concentrated in the middle and close to the grill. I got this for $125 at Home Depot.

I have a single burner Blackstone griddle that is part of my RV's outdoor kitchen and LOVE it. I cook every meal on it when we are camping. I want one for home use, but I also grill a lot, so this setup looks perfect. I also like the fact that the grill comes off and there is a round burner, which I could use for stir-frying and deep-frying, which I only do outdoors. My question is how is the quality and do you think it will last? Do you feel like it will stand up to being used 2-3 times per week for home cooking, or do you think it is more made for occasional camping use? I've watched several videos about cooking on the griddle, but how does the grill work? I use a smoker box on my current gas grill. Do you think that would fit? Thanks.
Max Brandenberger in my opinion, convenience comes at a cost. I really like this unit but the grill is fairly small. That makes it portable and light weight which is awesome... but unless you load it up with charcoal, it doesn’t hold heat for a super long time. Depending on how you like to grill, it could be perfect for you. I love mine but only for quick cooks. Hope that helps. The 22” with hood and stand is AWESOME if you’re looking for another option
You skipped step 9 ... which is where we are stopped, frustrated and confused... there’s a chain and a key ring thing.. what do?
Just found. Its a 'match holder'....
As I was putting this together, I noticed that they included two "right side grease tray' for us. So the right side tray looks nice, and the left one has the hole facing forward.....I thought it was a fluke, but I see you have that too....Lazy manufacturing.
How do u clean the grill side are there any spare parts for it ....it’s gonna be greasy ...this is the only combo griddle gas grill that has a fucken lid ...it’s hard finding videos using the grill side and cleaning ...please do a video on grill side

Almost all of Blackstone Spokesman and video bloggers just make videos of Blackstone griddles?
Videos made of Blackstone products and accessories are usually not available on the Blackstone site, or there out of stock.
As far as you suggest to get dimensions of this Blackstone, as one viewer asked in the comment section , it’s easy for you to say go to the Blackstone website.
When you go to there website the information isn’t available as you suggested, you have to call or use there chat item to retrieve the information you’re looking for, and even that doesn’t always work.
Please if your going to do videos, please have all relevant information available when you shoot, you certainly have time to edit in unnecessary Periodies , so why not all the information of the product your endorsing and getting paid to do.

Do you have to season the two plates, as well as the griddle? The manual does not tell you which end of the battery to insert into the igniter hole and those securing pins are not really described in the manual either, as to how to use them. If they were, then I missed it. Thanks for posting as it made it easy to do. One other question is that they supply two small nuts in the sealed package. One is for the wheel to the top of the box, but what is the second nut for?

Where did you find the hex ring to hold the igniter body on 3:59? Maybe I have it missing?

The easiest way to adjust a tailgater is throw it in the dumpster and buy something that doesn’t suck. What a pile of shit these things are!
