  • A review and comparison between the QuikLok Performance DJ Workstation, and the AxcessAbles Portable DJ Table Stand. I go over how I evaluated them, testing gear setup, reviewing specs, considering pros and cons, and what criteria led to my ultimate decision. I also discuss some useful accessories. The music gear I tested them for fit includes the Roland SH-4d and SP-404 mkII, the Novation Circuit Tracks and Rhythm, and the Arturia KeyStep. I was not paid or sponsored for this review and spent my own money on acquiring these products. I'm simply sharing my journey hoping it can help others.

Good review. I'm liking your channel, man. I have a few questions you might be able to help with in future videos. 1. What bags/cases do you move your synths/groove boxes and cables in? 2 what speakers or sound system do you use if the venue doesn't supply it. I'm working with a similar setup. Usually a Circuit tracks a microfreak and either the SH-4d or Dreadbox Nymphes. I play with a live band sometimes and would like to play in stereo. My current setup just isn't really loud enough. Any help would be appreciated. Keep up the good work. 👍

Thank you for the encouragement. To your first question, my quick response is that I have a variety of bags that I use depending on the gear I'm taking to a gig. It's probably best answered in video form, so I'll work on that. To your second question, I've used a pair of Fender Expo array speakers that Fender no longer makes when doing small/medium space gigs. For gigs where there's no power provided (small outdoor gigs) I use one or two Behringer MPA40BT-Pro speakers. For on-stage or band monitoring where the floor monitors are insufficient, I'll typically use cans. I don't think either of the aforementioned speakers would suffice for a live band situation. I have used Harbinger VARI V2315 15" Powered Speakers as floor monitors when running synths for playing live in a new wave set (although, we were doing new wave because we didn't have a drummer). They're plenty loud, and the 15" gives them pretty good range down into the low end. Right now, I'm focused on streamlining my setup for small, quick, and portable. I hope some of this response is helpful.

Great video! Where can I purchase the stands you use around 3:20?

After I returned it, I went to one of Tangerine Dream's US performances, and noticed that Hoshiko, the violinist, was using it on tour.
