4-part Synthwave improv on Circuit Tracks

- I performed a Synthwave dawless jam with Novation's Circuit Tracks using its two synth tracks to provide 4 different parts. Although I could've added an external synth and used the MIDI tracks and external inputs to broaden the sonic palette, I want to see some of what I could do with the Circuit Tracks alone.
I used sounds from A Force Truly Evil's Retro Futurism pack.

Nice. I just picked up a Circuit Tracks off eBay for $209 .... watching TH-cam videos for inspiration. Great track.
Thank you. Have fun with your new-to-you Circuit Tracks.
Love the Mixdown and Bassline particularly! Nice one man, what a ride!
Glad you like it!
This is awesome - please do not stop! I'm learning a lot from your performance techniques to your overall use of the Circuit Tracks. I have a Tracks and an SH4D as well and your videos are always inspiring me to try new things with that delicious combo! Synthwave and Berlin stuff - we're speaking the same language! Keep 'em coming! Kudos to another great beat!
Thanks, will do!
Awesome jam! The circuit tracks is on top of my wish list right now! So cool to see how much you were able to get out of it with just the internal synth tracks and switching between parts. Really inspiring!
Thanks so much!
I've had the circuit tracks for almost two years now and I have been spending a lot more time with it recently. I used to think it was just too limited, but I can say that there's nothing like it.
It's incredibly versatile, compact, and portable. It's self-sufficient and plays well with others. Anthropomorphically speaking, it's like that cool friend you can bring to any party or situation.
This really inspired me thank you.
You are so welcome!
This is brilliant and super informative. Thanks ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy your Circuit Tracks.
Really really good Bro! I own a Circuit Tracks and Rhythm and use them combined. They work great together. Do you know the CIRCUIT RHYTHM? Big greetz!
Thank you. Yes. I have one and like to pair both units occasionally.
❤️
Thank you for the sounds.
Neato
Thanks.
Great work! It sounds awesome! What do you think is more powerful/versatile; Circuit Tracks or Teenage Engineering 133?
Thank you. I can't comment on which is more powerful, since I haven't tried out the TE 133. I've watched some videos on it. My inclination is that I would prefer the interface on the Circuit Tracks, but again, I haven't tried the 133, and that doesn't answer your question as to which is more powerful. Have you tried the 133? If so, what was your experience like?
Thank you for watching.
Hello Mate, this is totally amazing. I 'm abouut to get a second hand Circuit TRACKS as I am fascinated by this gear. If I won't manage to have it, I thinks I'll grab a brand new one. But here it's not fully clear to me how you did the piece... Are you changing sounds also, not only patterns, right? I mean the two synth tracks can have different sounds for different clips? If so really, this machine is litterally incredible and underrated.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Actually, there were two different sounds in total, one for Synth 1 and one for Synth 2. They were the same through the whole tune. The difference was in the registers (octaves) and roles various parts of the pattern play. I'm planning to make an explainer video on this.
@@lectronin Hello Mate! I got my Tracks few days ago. It's really amazing although I am still practicing. Not as easy as it seems. One quick question: can we apply effects to external inputs? I'd like to use an external Roland synth for bass using one of the MIDI track and getting its sound from the input 1. Is that possible to use one of the Circuit Effect (Delay, Reverb) on the signal incoming from the Input and have it back processed at the Circuit ouput? Thanks again.
@@lectronin - Yes, please explain how you did that. It sounds like 4 different sounds.
Killer man!
Thank you.
Abo
Thanks for watching.
Do you change the synth sounds? Like can you change them by pattern?
Thank you for commenting. No, I don't change the synth sounds. There are two synth sounds, one assigned to Synth 1, and one assigned to Synth 2, for the duration of the piece.
Yes you can change the synth - sound per pattern
