Have had that X Maxx for a few years now and love it. Do I need the Outcast? No. Will I get 1? Yeah. Need more Arrma in my life. After getting both the Infraction & Limitless I got to get a truck next.
My xmax esc went to critical error after 2 mins run and had to sent it to traxxas it’s been more than 30 days so if they decide to charge I m switching to max5
Hey from watching your video I think the outcast was on its game a little better than the Traxxas on this day both of them are good looking awesome cars take care and be safe
Nice comparison JT, Aside from what you already said, the Arrma jumps better, flies better, and lands better. This comparison might have swayed me if in the market for large scale truck.
The Xmaxx definitely jumps and lands better. My Outcast is a bit easier to keep flat but it's definitely nerve-racking whenever it's in the air, she's heavy, and she won't take the hits like the xmaxx. Already busted a few rear camber link rod ends and have a few shock shafts going bendy after a few not too hard bash sessions. Also both rigs are under geared in this video, both my Outcast and Xmaxx can sustain wheelies for days with better gear ratios. The outcast actually has a lot of power for it's size, especially if you up punch and timing, the main issue is it can't rotate in the air like the xmaxx cuz it's so heavy.
@@TheFatAssCat Not based on this video or the other comparison videos I've seen. I have no dog in this fight and don't have either one but the Outcast 8s can handle better, jump better, turn better, wheelie better and back-flip better bc of its lower COG, wider width and slightly shorter wheelbase that makes up for the added weight not to mention it's a lot cheaper now than the Xmax. One other comparison video had a stock Outcast 8s beat a modified Xmax and the other had a stock Outcast 8s with damaged pillow balls beat an undamaged stock Xmax.
I love that outcast. I like the durability of the xmaxx and thats where the love ends. It way too unstable for me and the body comes off way too often. Now back to my kraton🤣

It's really going to depend on how you run it where you run it and what year you running. I think I got about 25 minutes plus with a 19 to pin your running like this
Besides the toe rod problems that you just discovered the shocks also bend due to the severe tilt and angle that they're at when jumping. With that said the Xmaxx is superior at jumping and durability. * Side note: That white minivan is creeping on you hard core! Lmao!

Doesn't help the outcast has a spoiler that can support it at the same time as the wheelie bar
Great video 👍 I've been having a very hard time deciding wich large scale rc to buy right now the Kraton the outcast or the super rock rey 🤔 . I've been racking my brains for 3 weeks now trying to make the big decision being this is my first large scale truck . I want to get the most for my 💲
🤔
Fun Factor = Outcast
Awesome dude your vid is just what I wanted ...I have the outcast on its way with exactly the same gens ace 8000ma 4s batteries...Can you tell me what runtime I should expect just bashing around....
I love your vids

It's really going to depend on how you run it where you run it and what year you running. I think I got about 25 minutes plus with a 19 to pin your running like this
@@JayTeeRC Thanks heaps mate ...So looking forward to it ...Im guessing there is a way to tell when the Batts are running low ...Slows down I guess
@@craigdixon7881 lvc kicks in and will slow down then stop
@@JayTeeRC Awesome man ..Thanks for replying...Anything that should be done before the first run or is it just plain beasty with no probs
What kind of run time are you able to get out of that 9700mAh battery
on which truck?
@@JayTeeRC on the Xmaxx
Best of both worlds
Ace
Went for the Outcast just because of looks, know the durability is better on Xmaxx but its to plastic for me!
Plastic is more durable...... metal bends and destroys other parts

My name is not crazy you can’t call super Mario grass 😂 lol
The aunt piles and mushrooms lol.. They are going to over run your course 😂
Jay C what tips do you have for keeping a pinion on the Xmaxx?
Like it not coming loose? I use red loctite and wait for at least one day.
de g dats faken badass yo!
Besides the toe rod problems that you just discovered the shocks also bend due to the severe tilt and angle that they're at when jumping. With that said the Xmaxx is superior at jumping and durability.
* Side note: That white minivan is creeping on you hard core! Lmao!
How do you drive and record videos at the same time? Lol
