Very Helpful! I am new to the car tuner world with a 2017 STI and this video has really helps you understand the features of the Cobb access port and functionality.
I'm running stage 2 Plus that was tuned on a four-wheel dynamometer and have had no issues so far. By so far I mean my 2002 WRX has 209k miles on it. Still fun to drive and is perfectly reliable. I daily it almost an hour to work every day. However I also take good care of my car. I don't put cheap oil in it, I use good oil and air filters, and I make sure to change the oil sooner rather than later.

@@dnawrapsatl if they are just cobb's stage 1&2 base maps, they are usually safe grounds. I wouldnt worry about close calls unless your tapping into the 20 psi territory on the stock turbo more often than one should.. I mean, the stock transmission will slowly start to fail at 400 whp while the stock piston rods ALSO fail at 400 hp territory so.... theres not even a point in trying to go beyond stage 2 bcs if im correct, stage 3 asks for a bigger turbo but then youll also need forged rods that will hold above 400 hp and yet again your transmission is still limited to 400 awhp sooo.... if you DID achieve above 400hp territory youd best drive it with lots of love.

Very detailed ! .... i cant believe cobb them selves couldn’t answer that question for me when i first got my AP ... i asked them how and what should i monitor on my ap and what numbers should it be at .... and they denied me because i basically didnt have a cobb brand jpipe ... and till this day ive never logged or understood how to read those numbers ... untill now ... i only knew the basics boost and a/fr and thats it ... thank you very much 👍 greatly appreciated!

Just in case anyone's curious as to tuned reliability...I have an '03 WRX with an HKS turbo back exhaust and a Cobb SF intake and no other engine mods, with a Cobb OTS Stage2 93 Octane map. It's been like this since 2004 and she just turned 258,000 and just started smoking on start up! All original drive train, engine, head gasket etc. I've driven her very hard all her life, road raced regularly...however, always did maintenance in half schedules, synthetic oil at 3,000. Maintenance is your best friend!

Would love to see a video explaining in detail the 5-way map switching adjustments you can make on Ford Ecoboost using the cruise control buttons. Several videos mention this feature and show (partially) how the RPM needle indicates the corresponding map; just the basics. But none go in-depth explaining if these can all be custom tunes or they are only pertaining to variations of a single custom tune that is compatible with 5-way switching... Also, none of the users I observed actually go and confirm via the Cobb V3 Accessport screen to show which "economy map or high performance map" was selected or explained the parameters. For example can one use the following Cobb OTS tunes in 3 of the 5 maps? 1. Stage 0, 2. Stage 1 91 Oct 3. Stage 1 93 Oct be flashed into any map one desires?

i get -1.41 every single time i drive the car, its become a bit of a challenge to me, i want to at least one time try and make a trip without it moving, it will require driving absolutely perfect and probably shifting a certain way, but one day i will make this dream a reality.

Nicely done. Been running map intake and it sounds great especially with all the mods! I highly recommend I don’t know any other ones with velocity stack
depends what the tune program is bcs if its different apps then monitoring values will be deceiving. betting that its cobb, a tune will overwrite the existing tune unless you download cobbs windows version that is the full complete program in which case you will just pick up where the last tuner left off and you can make adjustments or just blow $h!t up if your not a tuner or at least know how to read values.
AF c should be zero I think If it's plus or minus more than 8 percent you might have a leak. And I think af1 should be 14. 7 and go down to 11 during wot
Got a 2015 wrx and the car was sitting at .8 shoutout to the dealership for putting cheap gas in it put a half tank of shell supreme gas in it and it’s jumping from .8 to 1 now hoping this was just the issue

sariah reigns wrong! Subaru Writes there warranties to allow voiding with specific modifications. “Subaru” doesn’t void the warranty. We willfully void the warranty upon modification. It’s a loop hole
Unless josh carter works at the dealership hes just a keyboard warrior my dealership said the same thing it only voids the part of the car that is modified

I recently purchased an accessport when I try to marry it says warning! Previous tune has been lost forever and will be lost forever if you continue. I have never had a tune but I think previous owner did can I still marry ap what do you recommend?
I just did this to mine. But my car was having issues. So I freaking went for it. And it took a stage 2 91 tune. Non SF. So my car is running fine. For now until I get it pro tuned and mapped to my AP
you need to know what tune is in there first bcs you dont want to downgrade. depending on that engine mods or bolt-ons are on the car you may figure out where its at. a very easy way to know is " how much boost are you making now"?
I have the MAP tune, I get 36 MPG when I really want to on side roads, around 29-31 on the highway. However "because race car" I usually average 21 lmaoooo, but I love it so much

I don't understand why the accessport can't be used on different cars if it is not needed to be plugged into the car. Why not tune one car and than load the tables and tune another car(similar car)

I need to renew my plate, but theyre asking to get my car smogged, but i modified my car (FBO) . I have my dyno tune active. The smog guy says that i need to change the dyno tune map to stock. I dont know how to change it back to stock. I heard i can do it by “unmarrying” or “uninstall it” thru the cobb option, but im afraid that ill lose my dyno tune, thats in the cobb, when i wanna put the dyno tune back on, after i do the smog. Will my dyno tunes erase from my cobb, if i do “unmarry it” or “uninstall it”?

are canadian owners under USDM tunes? when installing the accessport using a FOB not a key. after plugging in the accessport, do you push the button, once or twice without foot on brake?

I bought a used ‘05 Outback XT that came with a few aftermarket parts, so it’s most likely tuned. However, I don’t have the AP, nor the previous owner of the car. How can I know if my car has a tune and/or if it has a married AP to it??

Hopefully someone can help here. I have 2017 wrx sti premium. Running stage 1+SF 93 octane map with correct fuel and intake installed. I cannot get my evap and o2 monitors to ready up so I can pass my inspection.
Question can I go stage 2 with just a CAI, muffker delete, NGK spark plugs, and downpipe? I know you need a upgrade intercooler for stage 2 , but I got a very good deal with a 3 inch downpipe..can I install stage 2 with the mods I have?...or stay stage one with the downpipe?...I'm talking about all this on a mustang ecoboost
I own a 13 WRX RS40 and live in Australia and I'm going to be picking up a stage 1 COBB set up and AP along with an invidia q300 catback. Just wondering what do you guys provide in terms of benefits to custom maps, support etc?

Hey mate I own a aus spec my10 wrx and have made upgrades of 2half inch cat back exhaust process west verticooler cobb cold air intake and has a rev limiter when hits 5k rpm cuts fuel so it’s been tuned Ans I can’t marry my ap to it but can delete codes when pops my cruise and all goes off when I hit the limiter it’s running in red on the a/f ratio and I know it’s running rich I run 98 octane as it’s our best pump fuel
Mines is coming in tomorrow, quick question do I need to download the AP manager app on my laptop to update the AP or does it update on its own once I plug 🔌 in the car under the steering wheel etc ?
You have to update with AP Manager with your computer. Even w/ a brand new v3 from Cobb, still needs to be updated. Just bought one from Cobb and dealt with that

I’m gettin a 3.50 on the fine knock reading and my feedback knock hits 1.40 but it’s pretty consistent on my wot pulls my dam has stayed at 1 not sure if it’s the weather or is something going on
how do you use the 1/4 mile and the 0-60 feature. I have updated my firmware and still cant seem to get it to work. I come to a stop, then click on the 1/4 mile and then go and nothing happens.
Hey just went stage 2 with the MAP stage 2 tune. My dam is at .625 to .750. When I get on the gas my Fine knock learn goes to 1.05 to 1.41. What does this mean? Car runs fine tho
Is a basic (no mods at all) stage 1 93 octane tune bad for stock wrx? I put 93 in it every fill since it’s the best gas offered every where here? I’ve heard it’s not good to run all the time on that tune but the next lowest is 89 octane
anything is able to be tuned. its amatter if they are willing to do something that will totally void warranty and is illegal in some states so they wont answer that on here so thats a phone call conversation. you would have to get a catchcan if you plan on venting your egr AKA engine gas return which is gases from the valve cover that youd be venting into the atmosphere since its no longer being sucked in via air intake aka throttle body.

How important is having the battery connected to a seperate power source during flashing? Specifically with initial flashes that take longer?

How do I know what map to run ?93 n wastegate ,L wastegate or h wastegate?
How do I set it up to check for dam or knock? God I'm so clueless when it comes to this. I just flashed my ecu.
Ivan's World go under gauges select how many gauges you want to monitor 1 to 6 then select which parameters you want for the amount of gauges you’ve selected.
I have a 2016 WRX, 6-Speed with an AEM 21-732C Cold Air Intake. No other mods, and I run 91 octane. I'm not racing the car. It's a daily driver. I just want to fix the rev hang and maybe get better gas mileage. Which MAPerformance tune should I use?
are canadian owners under USDM tunes? when installing the accessport using a FOB not a key. after plugging in the accessport, do you push the button, once or twice without foot on brake?
@21:03 you said if i get consistent reading of .3 and up ill start seeing dam problems and then you said readings above -3.00 are a concern but mentioned that -1.41 was normal. Did you mean -3.00 instead of .3?

If DAM and feedback knock are nominal, but throw 0.70 of Fine Knock Learn is this a reason to panic?
What if you get a positive number in knock feedback or knock learn? What does that mean?
I bought a used ‘05 Outback XT that came with a few aftermarket parts, so it’s most likely tuned. However, I don’t have the AP, nor the previous owner of the car. How can I know if my car has a tune and/or if it has a married AP to it??

I have a aem intake and charge pipe also a 1320 j pipe along with srs axle back delete ohh I forgot to mention that the j pipe is Catted is there a tune for does product and my car is a 2015 wrx limited 2.0 manual turbocharged
If I already have an ETS intake when I buy the Cobb accessport do I have to inform them about that so they can send me a correct OTs map

Not sure if you said it and I missed it. Does the accessport eliminate the top speed control of the WRX?
Hopefully someone can help here. I have 2017 wrx sti premium. Running stage 1+SF 93 octane map with correct fuel and intake installed. I cannot get my evap and o2 monitors to ready up so I can pass my inspection.
I just bought AP cobb is that comes with stage 1 tune already? Is cobb tune stage 1 is void the warranty 2019 gti golf ?
Question can I go stage 2 with just a CAI, muffker delete, NGK spark plugs, and downpipe? I know you need a upgrade intercooler for stage 2 , but I got a very good deal with a 3 inch downpipe..can I install stage 2 with the mods I have?...or stay stage one with the downpipe?...I'm talking about all this on a mustang ecoboost
I own a 13 WRX RS40 and live in Australia and I'm going to be picking up a stage 1 COBB set up and AP along with an invidia q300 catback. Just wondering what do you guys provide in terms of benefits to custom maps, support etc?
We offer our staged maps but no custom tuning. If you have any problems with our tunes we are readily available for help and support there. Hopefully that answers your questions!

Hey mate I own a aus spec my10 wrx and have made upgrades of 2half inch cat back exhaust process west verticooler cobb cold air intake and has a rev limiter when hits 5k rpm cuts fuel so it’s been tuned Ans I can’t marry my ap to it but can delete codes when pops my cruise and all goes off when I hit the limiter it’s running in red on the a/f ratio and I know it’s running rich I run 98 octane as it’s our best pump fuel
will this calibrate my MAP sensor?
Mines is coming in tomorrow, quick question do I need to download the AP manager app on my laptop to update the AP or does it update on its own once I plug 🔌 in the car under the steering wheel etc ?
You have to update with AP Manager with your computer. Even w/ a brand new v3 from Cobb, still needs to be updated. Just bought one from Cobb and dealt with that
I'm living in the Caribbean and someone told me that the accessport won't work in this region and I would like to know whats the difference with American model and the ones that made the Caribbean which is right and drive?

I have a cat less exhaust, and so the check engine light is constantly on due to the oxygen sensors. Could I program this to ignore that?
Not without a pro tune. There isn't a map for a catless do unfortunately because of boost creep. There use to be but not anymore.

Are the Guage data numbers going to be the same for the EJ257? Such as Knock Learn, DAM, Etc?
I have a 2015 STI and I just bought APV3.
I’m gettin a 3.50 on the fine knock reading and my feedback knock hits 1.40 but it’s pretty consistent on my wot pulls my dam has stayed at 1 not sure if it’s the weather or is something going on
how do you use the 1/4 mile and the 0-60 feature. I have updated my firmware and still cant seem to get it to work. I come to a stop, then click on the 1/4 mile and then go and nothing happens.
Hey just went stage 2 with the MAP stage 2 tune. My dam is at .625 to .750. When I get on the gas my Fine knock learn goes to 1.05 to 1.41. What does this mean? Car runs fine tho
Is a basic (no mods at all) stage 1 93 octane tune bad for stock wrx? I put 93 in it every fill since it’s the best gas offered every where here? I’ve heard it’s not good to run all the time on that tune but the next lowest is 89 octane
Does @MAPerformance offer stage 1 ots tunes with egr & tgv deletes?
anything is able to be tuned. its amatter if they are willing to do something that will totally void warranty and is illegal in some states so they wont answer that on here so thats a phone call conversation. you would have to get a catchcan if you plan on venting your egr AKA engine gas return which is gases from the valve cover that youd be venting into the atmosphere since its no longer being sucked in via air intake aka throttle body.
If I buy this first for a stage 1 tune, will I need to purchase a new flash file after modding for stage 2?
Question can you use the Cobb tunes or your guys tune with non Cobb parts like intake and j pipe?
We do not recommend running our tunes with other brands bolt ons!
