@@maperformance I agree. Not necessarily worried about the motor. The clutch im expecting to replace after a certain point when it starts to slip. The trans and other things like electrical things are what I’m worried about. Not going to be launching/ffs/or pushing insane amounts of torque, I just know they’re not the greatest.
Didn’t hear it from me but the accessport saves the exact original tune and settings before you mess with the ecu. Take it to the dealership with the original settings flashed and if they ask why the last time it was flashed was right before you brought it in, say you unplugged the battery/something happened to the battery since if the battery is dead or unconnected, it also flashes the ecu
Turn head lights off. Turn radio screens off. Unplug electronics. It says your voltage DRAW is too high. The AP can drain your battery, so they don’t want you flashing with other things using battery power. Shut everything off and it’ll work.
Big question, Cobb don’t have the access tuner on their site for purchase. I have a friend who needs his tune adjusted and we aren’t able to do anything right now. How do I go about getting the access tuner software to make some adjustments? It’s for an 04 sti.
Cobb does not allow you to modify tunes yourself unless your participate in their “cobb efi university” program to access what used to be called access tuner race. Otherwise you must be a license cobb pro tuner to use access tuner pro.
@@SimplesolutionTS yeah I don’t need the pro program. I just need the race program for one car. It’s pretty shitty what we have to go through to get anything man. They told us it’d be back up on the site soon but it’s still in downloadable
Usually nothing. I've had Cobb on my previous 2010 WRX and never had any issues. If I ever did all I did was put everything back to stock and they dealer never knew. Yes granted it took 3 hours to go back to stock but it's worth it.
Thanks For Watching!
Need an Accessport? Check it out here.

Very good video. I just good a 2023 WRX and with this very detailed explanation step by step, I will get the Cobb tuning stage 1, 93 stock 👌🏼
Stickers, man. So damn important. Everybody knows the stickers add 5 HP EACH so put those bad boys on for maximum speed.
Nice video. Thanks for taking the time out to do this one. Very informative.
Does the accessport have maps uploaded on it or would i have to download them
What component on the wrx platform records that an access port has been connected and changes the code so the dealership can void your warranty?
Kyle is the man!
Will MAP be offering tuning for the 22 WRX? I need my e30 fix.....
Man I really want to do this but don’t want to destroy the warranty. Wish I could see into the future on the engine reliability.
Accessports and Cobb's software is very well engineered, I would have no fear about installing this on your WRX!

It says that my battery voltage is too high.

Thanks for the insight
What modifications you need in the car before install the accessport?
Ok, you just talked me into setting it up after owning it for 2 months. 😂
Hi, is this compatible with the latest wrx wagon? Im using 95 octane fuel, can i download a preset map for the 95 octane?
Do you guys still supply your own ots tune after purchase through MAP? 2018 Sti
Could you guys please make high flow cats, exhaust, etc for 97-01 Honda preludes please 🙏.... From cali
Can you marry an AP without having to flash the ECU?
Should be able to!
What Mount is that he using? (@ 9:18 in video)

Glad it was helpful!

@@PRZJ91 you can still get ATR, you just need to take the course.
@@SimplesolutionTS ah gotcha, guess I’ll have to do that then

I wish someone would break down the costs of what can go wrong using this tuner and what the cost would be with voided warranty.

should my car run richer after installing the AP? @MAPerformance
I just use a non fouler instead of a cat. 😆
Can you guys send me my evo x parts. Thanks!
Great video thank you
