    Nice vids mate. Give a weedless jighead a try to reduce snagging. Careful not to hook your jighead inside the guides you'll damage them, hook it inside the guide supports. Great combo you've got there.

    • @joshdfishing
      @joshdfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers Dave. I have weedless hooks but they are weightless so hard to cast far. Might have to get some weighted weedless jigs👍🏼

    • @joshdfishing

      Yeah I was thinking that but the only surface lure I had on me was a big suga pen. Left my other box at home. Silly of me🤦

    Hey Josh. Good to see you put in the effort to make the drive. I drive up to 2.5hrs for a session. Always keen on new places land based. Gutsy throwing $30 cranka crabs around old oyster surroundings. That alone is worth the 👍

    • @joshdfishing
      @joshdfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolute legend Brice I really appreciate that. Yeah the cranka crab is a lure where the whole time your just cringing praying you don’t get a snag or get bitten off. When you pull those fish though it’s a very rewarding feeling. Keen to do it again😄

      @@joshdfishing I know the feeling loosing good lures. I lost 2 sugapens in 1 session due to surprised taylor. The 2nd busted off right near my foot so I saw what it was.

    Good one. Interested in your casting technique - sometimes you do a wrist flick in front of you and sometimes from behind- any reason? I’m a rookie senior fishette so keen to learn whenever and from whoever I can. Advice appreciated. 😊

    With the 4 carrior braid you used on this reel would you recommend that as a cheaper option for estuary fishing or is it worth spending the extra 10-15 bucks on 8 carrior basically what’s better for your bream and flattys on a 2500 reel 4 or 8 carrior

    There some crackin bream mate, you should use 4-6lb mono, run it down to a circle hook and chuck some chicken breast or scrub worms on it an drop down the edge of the peir, leave your bail open so they have time to take it properly, I get some descent bream and ep’s doing that. just a little tip for ya. keep up the good work mate. It always sucks when you loose a $30 lure but something exciting always happens👍🏻

    • @joshdfishing
      @joshdfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
