Gday everyone and welcome back to another video.
In todays video i decided to challenge myself to find new fishing grounds, using google maps. I was able to find some spots that ive never fished before. And well, i think its pretty fair to say i had a good day out.

This is fast becoming my favourite fishing channel - the content is all killer, no filler, with great fihsing action and tips.
I'm liking your leave only your footprints attitude Josh nothing worse than fishos who leave their rubbish behind. Keep the videos coming mate.
Cheers mate😄 makes me really upset seeing fishing spots with little bits of line and ball sinkers and stuff left on the ground👎🏼 it’s really not hard for people to just put in in there bag or in the bin.
this is genuinely one of the best videos you've done i recon you should do another google maps challenge coming into summer maybe somewhere further up the clyde river even though its a fair drive
Josh, your videos are not only entertaining, they are instructional and excellent for new comers to the sport. i remember i used to live on a canal is western australia and people would go past in a dinghy and we would wave and point at the good spots

My favourite method is google maps, found some great spots this way, lucky enough to live in NSW where there are tones of these little spots. Good vid mate.

I was down Nelligan one time and I found a soft plastic in the water the same as the one you used in the first clips. Caught my first fish on soft plastics after only ever bait fishing, got me hooked immediately (no pun intended). Haven't used bait since.

Good work mate. This is me all over. Few different jigheads and plastics in a session. To the point u get so frustrated and tie a sugapen to avoid snags 😂
Gonna have to take a wetsuit, snorkel and goggles and retrieve all the lures I lost 😂

Love your work mate! I always embrace google maps on satellite, even use the drone to scout spots too! Where are you based by the way? Don’t have to tell me exactly but I’m always curious watching Aussie fisherman. I’m in Ballina NSW

I take a small folding landing net with a 3 foot handle for these kind of spots. I'd make it a 4 foot handle if I could be bothered to change it out. Very handy.

Hey m8. You showed us the knot you use to put you lure on which is the 1 most of us would know but which knot do you use for your leader? I think i seen a few seconds footage in another vid of you doing a fg knot is that right?
And could you tell me why a leader helps and whats the difference would be if you just used braid to lure

Gotta love google maps for finding spots, I use it when I'm on the road after work heading home from a rural area to see if there's anywhere to stop and have a quick flick.
Yeah. Probably every spot that I have found was off google maps. Don’t know what I would do without it

hey josh just wanted to let you know were you parked if you could see that big tree down the end there is were i fish with my pop and we have caught giants like 76 cm flatty and a 56cm trevally and didn't know about the creek behind it so might give it a go so thank you
also you have inspired me to start to make fishing video's haven't posted yet but still working on it
