ț in Romanian is actually because of latin "ț" in Romanian sound like "t" in Latin or "z" in Italian So we added that comma under "T" ➡️ "Ț" to make it similar to latin At least that's what I think

Aside from ț which can be written as ts or tz, you NEED those letters if you don't want to guess how the letter is pronounced. You write ș instead of sh or sch or scz or other nonsense. Or you can write an ă instead of guessing that mermaid in english is pronounced "mărmeid". (its more phonetic)

Galician/ gallego.....is the daddy of portuguese. And also quite close to Latin. It has far less arabic words. The gallegos will learn romanian quite quickly.

It's not particularly hard either Camila, if you already speak another Romance language. Once you get past the beginner grammar and learn the few special characters, you will notice lots and lots of similarities; on top of that, the language is almost perfectly phonetic, so what you read is how it sounds.
Great video Julia. Should have also mentioned the words with Slavic origin too, since they're the second biggest origin group in the Romanian language after Latin ones. Some examples: iubire, văzduh, gospodar, pravoslavnic, slavă, bogat, curvă, glumă, mănăstire, jgheab, and so on and on. :)

Second of all with all due respect to all my romanian friends and everyone watching this channel, the oldest writing in the world is not from Romania as scientists have not yet agreed with the proposed theory that the Tartaria tablets are the oldest simply because it was impossible to carbon date them. So officialy they are not but I don’t mind anyone thinking they are as I love Romania...
