Just a tip: you seem a bit over enthusiastic at times and keep repeating the same word over and over in quick succession. The locals won't understand better because you keep repeating the same word over and over. It is ok to speak with the locals like they are normal people. Sure, you can simplify your English a bit, but you don't need to start talking like a parrot to make yourself understood
