The problem with finding happiness like that is that it opens doors to accepting your sins for who you are.
Sins appeal to the flesh, happiness appeals to the flesh.
What the Lord wants you to have is true joy. Christians have been persecuted by the Catholic Church or other secular religions but we maintain our joy by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 16:24 “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
True joy comes when you know you are eternally saved by the previous blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross for YOUR SINS.

@@MultiGriff5 I think you are intelligent because I'm not even stating a point. But by what you say, you're the one that stating a point and I think you're the one who missed the whole point. The whole point is Dallas is a Protestant (don't forget that) but he is making a show for those who loves Jesus. That's the whole point and I love that statement because he is not rude (saying to a pope that you're a Protestant is not rudeness), he still respond with respect because Dallas is a true Christian. But I think if Dallas had more time to speak with a pope, you will understand why he mentioned first that he is a Protestant (but I know he will still communicate with love). If Dallas don't want to give emphasis of being a Protestant in front of a pope, he will just say "I have a show for everyone who love Jesus"

    • @joshuasingapan4786
      @joshuasingapan4786 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@englishlearningcenter1470 What is in the eyes of any man is not the most important. The true children of God are those who heard the Gospel and respond with repentance of faith because they finally realized that they are sinners and they need a Saviour. The true children of God are only those who are true Christians. But then
What is Christianity? Well, I guess the answer is found on the name "Christianity." It has to do with the person of Christ. Now what is Christ, it is an English version of a Greek term that represents actually a Hebrew idea, Hebrew promise of a Messiah, of an annointed One, the Deliverer. The Bible begins in the book of Genesis with God creating man and this world and it was good but then maybe beyond our comprehension but nonetheless true, we understand sins entered in not this world. Rebellion against God which led to a separation between a righteous and loving God and a sinful and oftentimes hateful man. And this division between God and man led to also a great division between man and man so that the world you see around you today is the result of the fall of man. It is the result of sin. It doesn't matter if you create some sort of political Eutopia. It doesn't matter if materialism abound in everyone's home. We are never going to escape on reality of our sin and separation from God. Now, the great question of Christianity, the great question of the Scriptures, the Bible is this: if God is Holy and can have nothing to do with sin. If God is righteous and must always come against sin then how can we ever be reconcile to God. The Bible teaches in Rom. 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Now you can argue with my terminology but you can't argue with the truth of it, we see evil in this world. If you don't believe what I'm saying, simply turn on the news or read your newspaper or study something on the human history and you will see that it is history of humans doing horrible things to humans, of sin abounding of ruling of nations being lifted up and nations being destroyed, of people being suppressed, of violence occurred in no apparent reason, it's a result of sin. How can a sinful man be reconcile to a just God whose justice demands that they be punished. The answer is found on the person of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches us that God is a trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. And that to bring about the salvation of man, God would do something miraculous, outstanding, unspeakable, incomprehensible. He would show us His love and He would do so by doing this: In His righteousness, He condemns our evil but in His love, God becomes a man, in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. The historical person, God intervening into human history. And this Jesus of Nazareth live the perfect life that you and I could never live, have never lived. And then, He goes to a cross. Now most of you know about the Roman cross. You've probably seen movies about it how Jesus was nailed there with the crown of thorns placed on His head and all of these was done for our sin. But what's impossible to show even in the best of movies is that took more than physical death of Christ to pay for our sins. On the Cross, we're laid upon Him. And then all the punishment of the Holy and righteous God fell upon the head of God the Son. He suffered it to its fullness. And right before he died, He cried out "It is finished" which means paid in full. We owe to debt to God because of our sin and that death was suffering eternal punishment but on the Cross, God Himself, He took our place, bore our sin, and suffered the wrath of God that we deserve. He extinguish it, He put it away. And on the third day, He rose again from the dead then He ascended up into Heaven. And this Jesus, the Son of God, sat down at the right hand of God. And now the Bible teaches that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no man comes to the Father except through Him. That there is one God and one mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus. You see, the Christian is the only person, the true Christian who can say that they're going to Heaven without being self-righteous, why? In other religions, how do you get to Heaven? You get to Heaven by doing good, by earning it. In Christianity, you're not reconcile to God through your own virtue and merit but you're reconcile to God through the virtue and merit of His Son. If I die right now, I have great assurance of being reconciled, of being accepted to God, why? Because 2,000 years ago the Son of God died in the place of this sinner and paid my debt. I do not trust in myself, my good works, my church, my religious duties. It is Christ alone. And you say, you don't understand, I sin so much. We've all sin so much but His death is more powerful than any sin we could've commited. His death is sufficient to pay for all your sins. You say, well what must I do, you know, to be saved? The Bible says, you don't have to do some heroic feet like, climbing up to heaven and descending down into hell but believe, trust in Jesus Christ. Abandon all hope in your good works. Abandon all hope on your religiosity and trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ on your behalf. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perished but have everlasting life. That's the promised of God to the greatest of sinners.

In the New Testament, He has empowered all of us who have received the Spirit - the hierarchy here is how far we have grown in faith, whether we are still baby Christians or already elders. The more one walks in the Spirit the more one allows God to work in life. This is my biblical opinion in this regard.

@@meinwegmitjesus If I may, I would recommend the writings of Saint Clement (mentioned by name by Saint Paul in Philippians 4:3). He wrote an epistle to the Corinthians in the first century, which today is known as 1 Clement. It can be found online. If you read chapter 44 of this letter, Clement makes the case for obeying the hierarchy that was established by Christ and the Apostles. In fact, all early Church writers affirm the existence of a hierarchical, institutional Church.
It is true that we all have received the Holy Spirit through our baptism in Christ. However, though we are equal in spirit, we are not equal in body. The Father wills that some hold certain positions of authority within His Church.
In fact, Bishops and Deacons, as well as Presbyters (from which we get our word “priest”) are mentioned frequently throughout the Book of Acts and Saint Paul’s letters. (Some translations contain the word “overseer” instead of Bishop, though they come from the same Greek word “episkopos”). The purpose of these Church leaders is to administer the most holy gift within the Church, the Eucharist. This sacred gift is the greatest thing you can find in this world. It is the physical, substantial Body and Blood of Our Lord. (John 6:55-56)

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?
The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. In this world, the great fertility of atheism can be explained by the fact that there is no main opponent of critics of the Bible - the Church. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.

I heard it once that just because Peter is sinful, you cannot simply leave Peter for Judas. (What Martin Luther did and some of the founders of the Protestant Reformation, sadly)
Although intended to be humorous by the Pope, there is a deep irony to this conversation which I pray Dallas Jenkins will discover if he dare considers crossing the Tiber and into the Catholic Church.
Yet it is deeply touching that Pope Francis embraces anyone person of faith with mercy and kindness! It is not Dallas’ fault for being Protestant because he was raised that way... The Church has always believed that the ancestors of heretics are not heretics themselves.... it was the same for famous Protestant converts such as Scott Hahn... We must continue to embrace and pray and love Dallas Jenkins, for he is our Brother in the Lord.
We must pray for full unity with Protestant brothers and sisters in Christ...We must pray for their return back home, and also for our own conversion as Catholics to be a better witness to Christ... May the wounds of sin and division which have separated us for centuries, become the very places where Christ brings healing and restoration... May these wounds be recognised as like wounds on the Resurrected Christ, and may they be similarly exposed on the Body of the Christ when she is Resurrected at the Return of Christ Our Lord! God’s blessing to you Dallas!! I am a huge fan and supporter of the Chosen Series!

Happy for you Jonathan and Dallas to have opportunity to meet with personally with Pope Francis , such a blessing for both of you. Glad able to view this meeting on You Tube video . So awesome! I remember seeing and being in same stadium in Phoenix Arizona when now Saint Pope John Paul II visited Arizona for Mass and youth group gathering . I had opportunity as CCD religious class teacher given ticket to attend I was so happy to be selected to attend we went as a group from church st. Margaret Mary church , Tucson AZ chartered bus. So yes it was wonderful to see and experience his excellency in person on the stage in stadium 🏟️ saw holy cloud above stadium you could experience God's presence with us at the stadium. I was in Awe! He was so happy to be there with Us . Even though I was sitting standing in the rafters I felt the closeness of Pope John Paul II. As I was called by God to pray for Pope's all my life since my first holy communion. So yes a very special time in my life during that time. I prayed to go visit pope John Paul II in the Vatican yet God brought him to Phoenix AZ to visit so God brought Pope John Paul II for me to see him. A answered prayer. I was so thankful and very happy ! My spirit was elated. I was on a spiritual high the whole evening!!! Unbelievable yet it happened. Pope John Paul II in Arizona USA. WOW a very big deal!!! It was sooo peaceful and silent when he spoke. You could hear a pin drop. So awesome. You had to be there! Gosh! So memorable. Seeing you both with Pope Francis also a memorable time for you as well! On video also. GREAT job! For "The Chosen ".

When antiChrist comes, do you really think he will only persecute the REAL Christians?? We all have differences of doctrine, but we have Jesus in common. And we are all working out our salvation. “A new command(AR) I give you: Love one another.(AS) As I have loved you, so you must love one another.(AT) 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13

Paul addresses the coming of the anti-Christ in his second epistle to the Thessalonians. He tells us that in order to keep ourselves from being deceived by him, we must “hold the traditions (we) have been taught, whether by spoken word or written letter” (2 Thessalonians 2:15). Perhaps Protestants and Catholics will die side by side, and truly God will honor both of us. Yet it is imperative that we remain within the Church the Lord has established, and hold fast to the practices and beliefs which have been handed down by both scripture and sacred tradition.
The most important tradition, the holiest of all gifts in the world, can only be found in the Catholic Church: the physical Body and Blood of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. (John 6:55-56)
By consuming the Flesh and Blood of God Himself, we open ourselves to a grace of enormous magnitude. It is by this grace that many will be saved. I humbly ask you to study the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Seek out his physical presence, and you will find it.
      God bless, my friend.

Most of Christianity recognized and has always known over the last 2000 years that the antiChrist was Nero, as John conveyed the warnings it contained in understandable metaphor to the Christians who needed to hear it, and Rome did indeed destroy Jerusalem, just as foretold in the prophesy given to John by Jesus himself, as the temple was no longer needed after the arrival of the Messiah, and the Kingdom of Heaven would be spreading to the ends of the Earth. Jesus gave John the Revelation to warn His people the utter destruction was coming soon and to give them what to watch for and sufficient time to leave. It is the most humbling and reassuring prophesy in the whole Bible as it was fulfilled with stunning accuracy, if you read it correctly and understand it. It also reassures us that Jesus will be returning, and as most of the events in Revelation were fulfilled with such stunning accuracy, it gives us heartwarming reassurance that Our Lord will be returning just as He has promised us.

The pope is the antichrist. How can people still be blind at this point of the world?? The Catholic institution headed by popes is the antichrist. The mark of the beast is Sunday mandatory observance observance which the evil pope will try and push on November 1 during the climate summit.

Correct and sound doctrine is crucial to salvation and growth in spiritual maturity. It comes as no surprise that God warns us many times in Scripture to be aware of false teaching. Christians need to be able to recognize false teachers in order to know when they are being led down a path that God did not intend!
What does the Bible say about False Prophets?
God speaks harshly against false prophets, occult practices, and other means of sorcery. God describes a false prophet as one who “presumes to speak in My name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods” (Deuteronomy 18:20). In Jeremiah 14:14, God says these evildoers prophesy lies, offering “false visions, divinations, idolatries, and the delusions of their own minds.”

Brother, it isn't accurate to call the divine liturgy, the Mass, as a show or spectacle. And this is coming from me, a traditionalist. In any form, the Mass is the one memorial sacrifice of Christ, re-presented through the priest, and completed by his disciples partaking of His Body to likewise become His Body.

I love "The Chosen" and its effort to be as authentic as possible so we can find all the characters relatable. Casting Jonathan as Jesus is a great example of that. Not just because of his looks, but also because of his spirit. He is compassionate, kind, humble, loving...just like Jesus asked us all to be. What I find difficult to understand is how many people that have the same opinion I do, think that Trump is the right person to lead our country. Isn't that a contradiction? th-cam.com/video/x2olcBQsvn4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oBETKV2s_U8kRjBq
