The guru does not understand the science behind heat and receptors. Heat energy flows from higher temperature to lower temperature. What our hands detect is not temperature, but heat entering or leaving. So when the temperature of sadhguru's table is less than his hands, heat flows out of his hands into the table, which is what makes his hands feel cold. The hands are not supposed to tell you the temperature. They tell you whether heat is flowing into you or out of you. The senses are doing what they are supposed to do , the senses are reliable, at least in this case. It's sadhguru who is not reliable .

Although it is true that evolution by natural selection has built into us senses that are good for survival , what argument the guru made was totally illogical.
This is a very good example of how these spiritualists , illiterate of actual science , misguide the public into believing their nonsense, knowingly or unknowingly.
