Whoopi, I became a Catholic last May after 49 years as a Protestant. I came to the Church partly because of Pope Francis. His love for the poor is palpable.

I can guarantee he loves Whoopi as a person but as The Vicar of Christ who represents The Catholic Church and it’s teachings, he does not condone that sinful lifestyle. I saw Pope Francis in Philadelphia in 2015. I was at the front of the barrier as he drove by, looked in our direction, smiled and waved. There is a feeling about being in his presence even if it is with thousands of other people.

My husband and I were so lucky to have been at one of his masses in the Vatican when we visited. The feeling was something beautiful. I will forever cherish that day. We even waited 2 hours to get holy water to bring back home to my grandmother ❤

I had a dream two days ago and I saw pope Francis ushering in the false Christ into a hall. While I was in this dream, I saw a statue crafted in the same image of this false messiah and all around his body, was the stem of a vine rapped around him, and the holy spirit told me that it signified Jesus as the vine!
In this dream I was screaming and shouting on top of my voice that, this is not the messiah but the antichrist, yet only about a few people could hear me and turn back but a multitude of people were rejoicing at this false messiah. in this dream i saw clearly and the lord bears me witness, The pope was represented as the false prophet and I was screaming to the people to get their attention to me, each time I screamed, this false Christ turned to me with raging 😡 and anger, but as soon as I stopped screaming and started running, he smiled back at the people.
May God give us understanding in this last days to discern the wolves 🐺 in sheeps clothing who are in our midst to turn the minds of the sheeps away from the True shepherd (Jesus).

Get into prayer, fasting and consecration, You don’t need the pope to give you messages that he claimed came from God when you can hear God for yourself! I love Pope Francis because he welcomes everyone with love and that's exactly what the world needs right now.
His "love" isn't equal though. He is more progressive than the vast majority of previous Popes, and yet he still insists that marriage is only for a man and a woman and they must be able to have children.
It's called public relations, he doesn't know who she is, they said Whoopi, he said " I don't do that no more".

I respectfully disagree with the comment that faith and church is about us. The Mass is about God and giving worship to Him. It’s not about us. And of course ‘someone up there’ loves you Whoopi. We will never comprehend the depth of the love and mercy God has for us…..that’s why we should do our very best to not offend Him and to give Him due praise and worship. 🙏🏻
We are made in God’s image, we were purchased at price and that’s not all we also have a role is bringing Christ to others. What great freedom the Lord has given us to be His hands and feet on this earth so that others can come to know Him and love His law. We might never fully be without sin and blemish during this lifetime but we will understand why loving God above everything else is instrumental in helping us to love one another as each other. Think about when receive our Lord in the Eucharist we being to restore or relationship with Him. A relationship that has been wounded due to concupiscence. The mass is about worshiping God and remembering the Passion of Christ and it’s also about God reaffirming His faithfulness towards us so that we do not grow weary. This is why Confession/Reconciliation is an important sacrament because of the immense healing and grace God gives us by letting us know we have been forgiven. I can’t wrap my mind why God would go to the ends of the earth so that none of us may perished. He conquered sin and death so that we could be sure that we too through His guiding hand will be able to carry our cross and not be crushed under the weight of it. The first step is knowing that God loves you and accepting that love, the second step is repentance and the third is discerning God’s will for you. I can tell you now that God wills greatness for all of us. This greatness isn’t in material wealth or status but instead how we bring one another together by serving each other.
Every Mass is a thanksgiving to God
Respectfully the Man Upstairs doesn’t need any Church. Church is about bringing man/woman closer to their deity and belief system. Supposedly we need church and the fellowship…making friends with like minded people.

My teacher was amazing, we had a gay couple and she told us that All are welcome, regardless of a sin or not. Heck I’m no innocent without sin myself! We had 3 gay couples with children in our congregation, no one judged them. Love is love, however you may find it. The issues of if it’s a sin or not, are between You and God, no one else. Jesus is always knocking at your door, you just have to open it. The church should not be about judging, every person should be there to take in, and believe the Word of God.

@ljones436 I think for many people, it isn't the church doctrine as much as it is the abuse of power that has happened over the decades. I personally believe the whole thing is somewhat problematic, but I don't think having legitimate criticisms is the same as being Anti-Catholic.
In fact, one could argue that the most Catholic amongst us should be the most upset at the failure of the church to consistently live according to the teachings of Christ. 🤷♀️

I can understand what Whoopi feels after meeting the POPE. I was lucky too ,to meet POPE PAUL 2 and got his blessing of HOLY COMMUNION 1987 here in Norway with a picture of this event. I attended mass in Manila,but didnt got the chance to be near him cuz of millions people around. I felt lucky to cuz I got blesing from the saint now.
i dont know what any of it means but i feel better. thats how ive always felt visiting religious places since i was a kid. this makes me want to go more often, theirs a sense of peace and warmth that cant really be explained

We have ALL ALWAYS been invited to the church, but we have to change from a life of sin, and STRIVE to live a life of repentance. Strive to become saints, and not have pride of a sinful life. 🙄 People who experience same-sex attraction and those who are divorced have always been welcome to attend Mass. The only caveat is that they are not allowed to receive Holy Communion if they were divorced and remarried without an annulment or in a same-sex relationship. The Church has had a ministry for those who live with same-sex attraction for over forty years called Courage! However, the ministry is about helping those with same-sex attraction live chaste lives.
I've known many gay people who were priests or sisters in the Church. They were very holy people reveared by Catholics. THEY were the leaders of our community. I don't know how anyone can call that hatred.

I had a dream two days ago and I saw pope Francis ushering in the false Christ into a hall. While I was in this dream, I saw a statue crafted in the same image of this false messiah and all around his body, was the stem of a vine rapped around him, and the holy spirit told me that it signified Jesus as the vine!
In this dream I was screaming and shouting on top of my voice that, this is not the messiah but the antichrist, yet only about a few people could hear me and turn back but a multitude of people were rejoicing at this false messiah. in this dream i saw clearly and the lord bears me witness, The pope was represented as the false prophet and I was screaming to the people to get their attention to me, each time I screamed, this false Christ turned to me with raging 😡 and anger, but as soon as I stopped screaming and started running, he smiled back at the people.
May God give us understanding in this last days to discern the wolves 🐺 in sheeps clothing who are in our midst to turn the minds of the sheeps away from the True shepherd (Jesus).
Everyone please get to know God for yourselves. Get into prayer, fasting and consecration, You don’t need the pope to give you messages that he claimed came from God when you can hear God for yourself! You have the life of Christ in you, the pope is not in position to ask for Forgiveness on your behalf before your sins are forgiven! Confess to God with your mouth and talk to him about your sins and he will forgive you, God is quick to Forgive!

Same sex attraction is not a sin. Acting on the attraction is a sin. Finding a married woman attractive is not a sin. Acting on the attraction with the married woman is a sin.
