superdavidss I listened to an interview with Jim Caviezel .and he was always strong in his faith ...during the making his first big movie the Count of Monte Christo, they tried to remove a Prayer reference from the script, he was having none of it ... the script writer said “ oh you are one of them “ .....to which he replied one of what, he also refused to do naked love scenes as he said it was disrespectful to his wife ........ Jim was very strong in faith before the passion of the Christ...he is a great guy !

He was God in Human Flesh. Honestly it is Blasphemy to deny it. However you seem to Love God and have a faith and passion for him.
How then can we as believers of God condemn one another? We cannot. It is not our job, but to love one another as Jesus Commanded. Yet still, a Heresy to deny the truth and will of the father that the Son and the Father are ONE. Here are some Bible Verses that do prove this.
John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 10:30 - I and my Father are one.
Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
John 8:58 - Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
**This one is very IMPORTANT as it is from the context when he was speaking to the Pharisees, stating they do the works of their father the Devil, while he does the works of his Father, God in Heaven. His Statement is TRUE, Jesus Christ existed with the Father ALWAYs, how? Because Christ is God in the Flesh. Only God has only existed ALWAYS.
And there are Plenty more proving this!
The verses you use to prove otherwise Glorify the Father in Heaven as Jesus stated, this is true, and yes Jesus prayed to God A LOT, why wouldn't He? He was also a Human MAN who had to fight and conquer the temptation of SIN DAILY!
"None are greater than he who sent me" OR "I have come to do the Will of He who sent me, not my own." These also show Jesus glorified his father.
You must understand that Christ is perfect and in his perfection GLORIFIES our Father in Heaven and indeed does Pray to, and worship Him when he is here on Earth, why wouldn't he? Jesus NEEDED his Father throughout his life as a servant to Humanity while he was on Earth. BUT ALSO his JOB was to show Humanity how to pray and worship in the coming Church Age, he was preparing his SHEEP! Of course he would pray to God to set a perfect example and to teach! But also, he is the SON OF GOD, if I have a son he is a mere MORTAL born of SIN, IF GOD has a SON, which HE DOES, HIS SON IS GOD.
Jesus will return as a King and to Conquer Evil.
Through God anything is possible - therefore we must simply believe and understand in his Will, the Holy Trinity, etc...
Just because there are bible Verses that show Jesus referring to his father as "my God" is NOT proof nor support that Jesus is not God. The son worshipped the Father as the Son is the Word MADE Flesh, he was both God and Man, to deny this fact is certainly Heresy before the eyes of God, deny this and you deny the Father, because you are denying his perfect wisdom, will and sacrifice for us.
The ironic thing is the verses you referenced are simply Jesus honoring and worshipping and glorifying the father, again NOT proving Jesus is not ONE with the Father, to be ONE with his Father he would also HAVE to be GOD, the small samples I gave you PROVE he is GOD, as the Holy Word intends to inform us of.
He is the beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, how can Christ be the Alpha and the Omega (which clearly the meaning of said statement proves he is God) If he is not God?
You must understand that the same belief that Christ is not the son of God but only a prophet of God (found in Islam) and your belief that he is not God are blasphemy and works of the Devil, the Great deceiver as he is the prince and power of this world, he has been working to deceive humanity since his very first encounter with Eve in the Garde. Religion is false, worshipping in spirit and in truth is the way. Christ is trying to have your eyes and heart opened fully to the truth, just by our brief encounter here on youtube, I suggest you adhere to this calling as it will complete you in the faith and only taking your closer to the truth and his intention for you, he saved you because HE IS GOD.

My family has always been orthodox for many generations, I was baptized orthodox as a baby. I went to a Roman Catholic school growing up. My parents became born again Christians when they finally had a supernatural rebirth through Jesus (I was a child when this happened). Never understood it until I called out to Jesus myself and he saved me from a dark path💛 I feel like a new person, I knew in that moment I was reborn and I was saved. Everything I read in the bible now feels like a message for me. It is so personal. I’m sorry but it is NOT a religion. It is truly a relationship with God. I hope you can hear my heart through this comment bc I know many of Gods children are lost and allowing the devil to deceive them. Don’t forget Satan knows every word of the bible as well. He is smart and can use your mind to alter your relationship with Jesus. Always keep your eyes on Jesus, never look elsewhere or you’ll be lost! It’s true when he said the path to heaven is a verrrrryyy narrow one. But I don’t think many realize how narrow.

This is what nondenominational means. Not manmade. Just the Bible. And I am a former catholic. It’s unbiblical and idolatry. No need to confess to a priest, you should NOT pray to Mary or any saints for any reason. Only God and Jesus. Period.

I am from a Roman Catholic background and was born again within the Catholic belief. But, for most of my former years, there was not a great encouragement for me to read the bible (the true word of God) for myself. Also, my understanding was that the Holy Family consisted of Jesus, Mary and Joseph; I have to say a resounding NO to that now; the true , the triune God, the true Holy Family, has to be, God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Finally, I have to say, that, as the ‘sign of the cross’ suggests, our prayers are to be directed towards our Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is our advocate, not Mary. I have always honoured Mary, and she is blessed of all women, for she is a handmaiden to the Lord. She is a wonderful example to Christian women; “Let it be done to me according to Thy Word”.I honour her and I know she is blessed, but that is as far as it goes.
God bless you both brothers; I know that the Lord has you both in the palm of His hand and I respect you both greatly.
But to be truthful, the time of denominalisation is over; the Lord is doing a new thing... ✝️🔥❤️

My heart felt as Jonathon spoke that our lord through the Holy spirit came to him and actually was preparing him for the part in the Chosen. The experience alone of our lord leading him to feel love for the world as a whole, was miracle in it's self. I battle with that all the time. I want to love everyone as Jesus does but it is such a hard task to achieve, especially the way the world is today, so divisive and as radical as it is. I know now that I have always felt deep inside that I am not at all worthy to talk to the Jesus that has been portrayed to me all my life; the divine, stained-glass, detached and aloof portrayal of Him. What human being could feel worthy of approaching that kind of Jesus? So I would never even consider trying to talk to Him. I kept Him at arm's length. Prayers that are formulated are OK because they are not my words and the church deems them appropriate to say. But after discovering the Chosen and Jonathan Roumie's portrayal I feel such a sense of relief because I feel as if I could sit and talk with Him about my life and He would understand exactly what I was saying. Even if I'm just telling Him my feet are hurting from all the walking I did today. He knows what that feels like! He can relate to me, but he is also Divine, so He can relate to me AND save me and guide me and heal me. Jesus is everything for me now. I talk with Him all the time and the comfort that I get from that is immeasurable. Thank you to everyone involved in The Chosen from the bottom of my heart. Until you have a friend in Jesus you cannot understand what that means and what that feels like. It is precious beyond words.

Jonathan thank you for being so transparent, in sharing your journey in which you are experiencing your very humaness as we all do and how it is causing you to go to our loving Father to which has over come the world through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I encourage you to read Ephesians 2 in the Amplified version, (because of the expression) God is speaking so clearly through Paul of who we are as Gods people through eternity, and that He has taken off the limitations of how we can come to Him in so much intimacy (Jew and Gentle together/as one new man) with an identity in Him, created in us before time. A great book that I study along with my Bible is: A Time to advance by Chuck Pierce and Robert Heidler, this book talks about the Messianic church and how God has given us his order and how we are to live out our call in fullness through knowing our identity in Him! God doesn't want to punish me, or you, for our sins. He wants us to come to Him, confess our weakness & be cleansed of those sins, so we can live joyfully & victoriously! Confess your sins to God and plead the blood of Jesus over your weakness. God wants you to draw close to Him so He can be closer to you. Prayers sent for you, in Jesus Name. 💚🙏

    1. What does it mean to be an "evangelical Catholic"?
    2. How does a Catholic get saved? What is necessary for salvation?
    3. What is this Eucharist thing? Are they claiming a literal but undetectable miracle occurs? What's it do?
    4. What is RCIA? (Yeah, saw that in a comment below. What is the 'I'?)
    5. What is accomplished by repeating the rosary? What is the point of repeating this prayer? Is the practice derived from the Bible? Who is the prayer to?
Not even going to debate! Just want to know how Catholics answer questions like these. Hopefully someone will weigh in...

I’m blessed that I was born and raised Catholic, because when I was a child in Portugal about seven years old when I did my first communion I had this desire and passion for the images of Jesus or any saints that where in the church, I used to go to church sometimes by myself and I just used to stared at the images and I dint know what it was but it was a mystic feeling that only God knows specially when I used to take the holy Eucharist my soul was so flamed with love and happiness that nothing in this world really matter to me the only thing that I cared was to go to church and be there to the point I wanted to become a priest and my mom knew that I had this spiritual gift that god gave me but unfortunately after a few years when I was about 11 we came to America and that’s when the devil got me 😢 diferente country free of religion etc. so unfortunately I wasn’t strong, as I was becoming a young man I was more focusing in the things of this world now I know why Jesus says in the Bible so many times blessed are those single men and woman meaning priests and nuns who gave themselves or consecrate to the lord because they’ll be focus only in God they separated from this world and now that I’m older now I understand why I felt that way because I was in grace with Jesus I felt him in me in my heart, this is how God know gets closer to men it’s in individual in each one of us we will be in communion with him in our hearts 🙏❤️ So the great mystery of all Catholic Churches now that I discover it’s in every Catholic Church every time you enter inside you are already inside Mary’s womb just like Jesus lived for 9 months and in every mass we are celebrating the banquet of the Lord, every time the priest consecrates the Eucharist the heavens opens and the bread becomes Jesus in the altar and all the angels and saints are celebrating and adoring Jesus here on earth just like in heaven now when you read the Bible what did Jesus said to Peter that he will have the keys from heaven well he has the keys because we are connected to heaven and the church it’s Mary she is the doors of heaven she is the mother of the church the mother of all Christians, the woman in genesis chapter 3-15 and glorious queen of heaven and earth just like in the apocalypse 12 ❤️🙏

24 Questions for our separated brothers and sisters in Christ
    1) How does you church interpret the bible? Historically/Plain-text? Context? Expository? Holistic?
    2) What makes your bible interpretation more valid than other church's?
    3) How do you know it is, indeed, the Holy Spirit guiding your church, pastor, or set of beliefs?
    4) Currently, there over 40,000 Christian denominations. There are thousands that claim to be non-denominational. For example: Assemblies of God, Church of Christ, Church of God, Calvary Chapel, Harvest etc.. All of them use the Bible, and claim that the Holy Spirit helps them to interpret the Bible. Is it the Holy Spirit inspiring over 40,000 different messages that disagree with one another. Do you think that it is the Holy Spirit causing so much division amongst Christians? Or, is it a demonic spirit?
In 1 Corinthians 1:10 the bible tells us, "I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.”
    5) At your current church, is the cross at the high center of the church, the pastor? If so, why?
    6) Does your church constantly criticize other church's beliefs during their bible studies or services to emphasize on how others have salvation wrong and they've got it right?
    7) Can anyone who can read teach the bible? What makes a person qualified or authorized to teach the bible?
    8) Who founded the first Christian Church?
    9) Who founded your church and in what year?
    10) Is your church apostolic? Apostolic, meaning passed on by Christ's apostles for over 2,000 years.
    11) What church(s) did your church break away from, and what was the motive?
    12) What came first, the church or the bible?
    13) Where did the bible come from? Who wrote it? Who had the authority to decide which books were to be included and which books were to be rejected?
    14) The bible tells us, "so then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us." 2 Thess 2:15 Where in the bible does it say that scripture alone is to be used to interpret scripture?
    15) What is the pillar and foundation of the truth? The church or the bible?
    1 Timothy 3:15
15 if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
    16) If one only needs to believe in the Bible (The Word) to be saved and the bible was not completed until 392AD, how did early Christians come to the faith, practice it and pass it on?
    2 Thessalonians 3:6
“Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us."
1 Cor. 11:2, "Now I praise you because you remember me in everything, and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you."
    17) If we can trust the Catholic Church to give us the bible, why can't we trust the Church to interpret it?
    18) Non-Catholic Churches often argue that the Church that Christ founded on Peter became corrupt, and that therefore, reformed Christian churches were created.
So the question is: If the Church that Christ Himself established became corrupt, what makes anyone think that they can establish a better one?
    Matthew 28:20
“Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
19)If the early Church became currupt, did Jesus not keep his promise?
    Matthew 16:18
“18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. * “
    20) Does Jesus Christ really hate religion? What does the word religion mean?
    James 1:27
“27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
21)Some non-Catholic groups oppose a physical church and claim that the body of Christ is a composite of believers. Some are even dropping the name church and replacing it with fellowship or center. In Matthew 16:16-18, why does Jesus say that He will build His Church on Peter, the Rock? Did Christ want His Church to be visible or invisible?
    22) Why do some denominations believe that we are saved by faith only? Where in the bible can we find the words faith and alone together?
    Faith Without Works Is Dead
    James 2:14-26
“14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your[a] works, and I will show you my faith by my[b] works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?[c] 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[d] And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
23)Many claim that the King James’ Version of the bible is the correct bible to use. They also claim that their faith is not man-made. Who was King James? What authority did he have to decide what books should be included in the bible? Isn’t it problematic that the KJV bible is named after a man who lived over 1500 years after Christ?
24)Who has the authority to determine what beliefs about God and the Bible are essential for salvation? Isn’t the entire Bible essential?
Apostolic succession is a sign of authenticity. Clearly, the apostles were not going to live forever to spread the gospel. Their writings and tradition were preserved by the Catholic Church. 1 Timothy 3:15

      Obamalies100 John 6:46-66
      New International Version
46 No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. 47 Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.
      Many Disciples Desert Jesus
60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”
61 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! 63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you-they are full of the Spirit[a] and life. 64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. 65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”
66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

1Corinthians 11:29-30 “For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.” Where in the Bible does it say that the Eucharist is symbolic? Jesus speaks symbolically many times, such as when he says I am the light, the door etc. However, this is the only time that Jesus clarifies that he is not speaking figuratively. He says “Truly, truly, my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. If it were only a symbol why does eating without discerning matter? Why is it that could it make you sick? Why is it that some said that it was a hard teaching to accept and left in John 6:66? If Jesus was speaking symbolically , why did some disciples leave? He had used symbolism in the past when he was preaching. What made this particular teaching especially hard to accept?

    • @user-ks3qr5fk6m
      @user-ks3qr5fk6m 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@Obamalies100 Christians have always believed in transubstantiation. Please look at the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. The belief that it is merely a symbol is new. Less than 500 years old. You did not address the verses I shared. Jesus speaks symbolically many times but this is the only time in which Jesus clarified that he meant it literally. If he were speaking symbolically, why did some say that it was a hard teaching to accept and leave? Also, you mentioned science. Could a scientist examine Jesus’ body and conclude that he is divine?

Also, keep in mind that the counsels and formal written establishment of doctrine are always in response to heresies. For example, Christians have always believed in the Holy Trinity, but in the year 325AD it had to be formally written and established in the Church in response to the Arian heresy.

@Obamalies100 I am not sure where you get your information from but google who founded the Catholic Church and it will show that Jesus Christ did in the year 33AD. The Catholic Church is the historic Christian Church. Constantine did not invent it. He simply made it legal to practice Christianity because his mother converted to Catholicism. What is the name of the church you attend? I can look it up and tell you who started your denomination and when it was founded. Catholic is a characteristic of the Church. It was the first Christian Church. All other churches are breakaways from Anglicanism and Lutheranism.

No Catholic--no priest, no Pope--will ever tell you to worship Mary. It has never been taught by the Church and never will be. It is a great misconception and a lie used to slander the Catholic Church.
*However, we do have the utmost respect and show the greatest reverence for Mary who is the New Eve, the Ark of the New Covenant, the one creature in all of human history chosen to bear GOD HIMSELF in her womb. There is no more intimate relationship between and a Creator and his creature, therefore there is no Saint in heaven who has a more intimate relationship than Mary does with her Son -- so we ask her to pray FOR us, as the Mother of the whole Church, (we are His Body, she is our Mother) on our behalf to receive the graces we need to follow her Son more closely. God Bless you!

William Drogo Catholicism also teaches Mary became sinless. However no where in scripture is that shown. And even the opposite is shown, she brings offerings and calls Jesus savior. If Jesus is a savior or Mary she isn’t sinless, we are being saved from our sin and seperatiom from God due to our sin

Our nuns' religious knowledge classes when I was in secondary school consisted of us making up 'hymns' to pop tunes! We also had visits from seminarians who wanted to 'get down with us kids'- they made us cringe!
So thank you again, Dr Hahn, for explaining the Scriptutes to me.

I can relate to that. Sometimes , when I'm at the grocery store, or anywhere really, I'll look at whomever is near me and I'm like " this is my sister, or that is my brother, and I feel an empathy for them that I know is Christ speaking to me. God Bless.
