Pope Francis, the first Latin American Pope. But what did they see in the 76-year-old Jesuit? Who is Jorge Mario Bergoglio? we explained everything in Francis, the people´s Pope click on the link www.romereports.tv/documentaries/videos/francis-the-people-s-pope
What could the pope say? Or any human being with compassion? Why was this boy so scared? Because someone had told him about hell. No child should be this tormented by the fears created by religious dogma.
You're right my man, no child should be tormented that they could be sent to hell. But everyone has their own ways of teaching their faith. We can't just tell them to stop. But me personally as a kid I when told about hell I wasn't really scared or anything I just saw it as a place where bad people where.
The child was worried that his Dad was in hell, because his dad was a non-believer. He was scared to the core that his dad's soul would be burning in the flames. You don't need much imagination to be scared of that. It terrified me as a child. the nuns told me the devil was watching me all the time, over my left shoulder. It was an awful thing to tell a 6 year old...maybe you would have laughed it off. Sorry, but I think religions that preach fear are destructive.
But why was the boy so scared? Did someone tell his his dad would burn in hell? No wonder he was terrified. At first, watching this, I thought it was a wonderful thing the Pope did...and it is kindness and altruistic philosophy from the Pope's perspective. But ...what are the alternative answers? The Pope had to say this. Then I thought about why this poor little kid was so terrified to the core. It's the power of fear that so many religions wield.
Hey man I truly am sorry that you were told that by nuns who are supposed to be nice people. Even though it probably doesn't mean anything to you, I'm sorry that you were told that. No child should be told that. And I can understand your way of thinking, I was not told that as a kid so I'm truly sorry that they did that to you. There is no excuse for their methods, but those people do not represent the whole religion believe me on that, but I can understand where you come from.
This child needed to hear those words. Pope Francis just eased his broken heart and put his soul at peace. Also, the courage it took for him to even ask such a bold question is commendable. God bless them both!
Whitney M Especially in youtube comments, i see people behaving like the Pharisees.." He doesn't follow the law!! I fast twice a week and pay tithes on everything I get!!!" But like the Pharisees, have forgotten mercy and love. Galatians 5:22-24 " on the other hand, the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness, and self control; no law can touch such things as these."
This made me so unbelievably emotional for some reason. At that age we are so dependent of our parents for love and guidance. I just feel for that boy, the constant pain of missing your father in the years you need him most. And we can infer that question is based on him wanting to see his father again and bc he believes in God he hopes that will be heaven. That child is very strong.
My father committed suicide 4 years ago. But according to my religion Islam if anyone commits suicide he will not go to heaven. It’s makes me sad too. Hope god forgive us and my father.
It is so impressive that the Pope had to ask for permission from this little boy if He could tell the others who were there present what the little boy had whispered to Him. We can also learn how not to reveal secrets of the others without asking them for permission. Holy Father pray for my country Kenya . I ask for your blessings .May God grant you good health and live to serve All.
If history has ever taught us anything, is not to believe in mythology, but to embrace our minds as tools, objectivism as our philosophy and good will and personal values as our compass. Don't pray for your country, but hope for genuinely good and intelligent people to solve your national issues and allow you to create a future for your country and for the entire world.
Nathan Wilson Nathan Wilson Who has even talked about history books? I’m talking about the evolutionary steps that the natural world has taken during these past billion years. Read carefully: I’ve written that this journey many organisms and objects have taken part in leads, as the only solution in order to change one’s situation, to embrace our intellectual capabilities, to fully use our minds, in a materialistic optic, focusing firstly on what’s real in order to built our society, our world and our future. I’ve never stated that it is the only philosophy existing among humans today, nor that it is the only one adopted. Goofy comment? What, you oppose the idea of embracing one’s mind as a tool in 2018? Objectivism doesn’t exist? Never heard of science and realism? We need to 1) think, objectively observing the world and ourselves; 2) base moral values on the basis of their effects, in an utilitarian manner: without dogmas, without mysteries, without any mythological elements involved.
Brought tears to my eyes. He is such a compassionate man, and one of the best religious figures I have seen. I hope we can build bridges between our faiths and communities and appreciate our similarities and respect our differences. A lot of love and respect to pope Francis

Then my question is what was the whole purpose of sending down Jesus to die on the cross for the sin of the world? If good ppl go to heaven, what are the line for someone to be called a good or a bad person, the 10 commandments? A person may be "a good person" in your eyes, but who are the judge? Good people still sin, bad people sin, bad christians sin and good christians sin. Everybody has broken the 10 commandments. You don't have to teach a child to lie or steal for the first time this is in our nature since the fall of mankind. The difference is that you need to receive and believe in the parachute that are given to you as a free gift of God. The Parachute is Jesus Christ, We are all sinners but Jesus Payed our fine to the judge, by accepting his offer we will go to heaven and not hell. If You Are a so called "bad christian" you have probably not understood the whole message of Jesus, not only should you believe in Jesus but the holy spirit will transform you to be christlike.
God bless that little boy and his family, Lord thank you for holding this little boy and his family in your heart, comfort him, talk to him and support him and protect him and his family all the days of his life, in Jesus name Amen +
I'm an atheïst, but I believe this pope is a good man with love and compassion in his heart, and for that I salute him. May he change the world a bit for the better 3>
Simple loving truth. So glad we have this man now - this is coming from a devout unbeliever btw. I see his kindness as a giant gift to the world. If he can bring truth and reconciliation to the entire church that would be a huge accomplishment
LetsBeClear couldn’t agree more, if Christianity was more like this I’d probably be a believer if there is a god he wouldn’t judge those who didn’t believe in them he would welcome them and teach them. This Pope is such a gift
"If he can bring truth and reconciliation to the entire church" I see you're unaware that the pope lied to this little boy. Jesus said "there is none good but one, that is, God."; what's that little boy gonna think when he turns to that page? Toddy 2111 "if there is a god he wouldn’t judge those who didn’t believe" So, does Hitler get a free pass, then? Sure, he said he was Christian - before he committed genocide. Trump said he was Christian, but you've heard the things that come out of his mouth. If God didn't judge people and just let everyone into Heaven, what did Jesus ever take up the cross for? Surely, if God's not gonna bother judging anyone, Jesus' sacrifice was a massive injustice, and all the people who've done unspeakable things in this life are just gonna get off scot-free, right?
Ricky Alonso That's not fear that's respect for his wife's religion...if he is seeing through his wife and children the example of what it is like to be a Christian ...that is a beautiful thing..most people who have not yet heard the Word of God first exposure is by our example! We all have different journeys and this man's wife and children may be the way to change his heart! Praise God for these examples of faith!
how can you say you're an atheist when some of the commandments of the bible you are doing..did you kill? did you commit adultery? did you love your neighbor?..atheist should read the bible or read the life of Jesus Christ. Hell is real,so as heaven. Do not die if you didn't accept Jesus.
That's like saying gymnastics is a child molestation sport, or that the Boy Scouts are a child molestation organization. Unfortunately, there are child molesters in every walk of life, from the lowest to the highest. I think that when you have child molestation on the mind as much as YOU do, you have to question yourself.
Corrupted Studios completely! He is a Rock (if you’re Catholic you’ll get it), the type of man who maintains his Vision and Decency to help the others, even when the world seems to fall in madness. He is a example to all of us. May God bless him!
This just made me cry. It reminds me of my last dad who never went to Church but believed there is a God & he tried to be good. I loved him so much & I always pray for him. Though we were not Catholics when he died. It was marriage that brought me to the Catholic Church & am so happy to be a Catholic. Emanuel, God loves your dad & mine and He loves us all. We should always be thankful for that. God bless our Holy Father the Pope. May His mercy, love & favour speak for you, everywhere you go. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
I'm not a religious person...but I believe in working and seeking healing on the spiritual aspect of life...which I fail in often. For me Pope Francis is one man who always touches my heart when I've listened and observed him. A powerful message and moving to witness...thank you.
Oh my!! My heart!! He's so broken, in trying to comfort anyone who has lost an unsaved father or mother all I can say is when that day comes we will know for sure, and when we see Christ in his Glory and Majesty every knee will bow and every tear will be dried by his perfect love and wonderfullness!! Be comforted and know you have hope and a future which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!😍😍😍
Very Beautifully said Pope Francis. I'm agnostic, and sometimes get attacked by catholics and christian's alike for being "Worse than Atheist." But I still respect people who believe and their religious heads/elders when they make sense and preach love.
I am agnostic as well. I lost my brother in December 2016. It's brought up these questions for me that the boy has about his father. I don't know that there is a God. I don't know that there is a heaven or a hell. I do though try, as my brother did, to be a good person and treat others as I'd like to be treated. It helped me, as an agnostic, to hear this from the Pope.
Just be a good person and maybe you will be with the good people in the end too. We cant say for sure... There could always be something else after death
I am from Ireland which is mostly catholic I am reached to believe in the religion at school and a few of my family and a lot of my friends r catholic but I am a atheist but pope Francis is a hero to me
I am a none believer but every time pope Francis talks I chock. He really spread love, I have so much respect for this man, I wish to meet him or go see him one day.
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. The answer is right there.
I'm also an atheist, but... man, Pope Francis really is something else. I can't put my finger on it, but he just comes across as a genuinely loving human being, and it's wonderful to see.
I'm Jewish but converted from Catholicism and still have huge respect for Pope Francis. The Catholic church isn't all bad, despite the horrific actions of a few.
I’m not a religious man, and there are many things I don’t like about both religious people and aetheists. But seeing something like this, regardless of my views of beliefs or the beliefs of others; this warmed my heart and it serves as an example of what real goodness looks like.
An honorable act of leadership, by this Pope, towards the heart of the brave young boy. "Father, may you hear the heart of this boy, and grant his earthly father mercy even now as you do us still breathing. May you forgive the sins of this boy's father, and grant him into your kingdom. I ask for mercy, and grace, on his behalf right now. I ask this as my heart pleads to You, in the name of Jesus my savior. Hear my prayer oh God, and my it be so. My faith is in You. Amen." Any of those in agreement reply Amen for the soul of this man past.
@easy deism I am aware, I wouldnt say im so much athiest as agnostic, I believe there is a higher power or "being" or "force" of some sort but I do not think we could fathom or comprehend exactly what it is. I just think there is no possible way for us to know, my point being is that even in the fact that I dont agree with it it did indeed keep people moral for the most part, it has also done as much good as bad. The balance of things I suppose.
I'm not a follow of the pope but his power to bring people together and spread wisdom that can be used by all walks of life, regardless of religion is humbling. Helping promote humanity is something he truly has a talent for.
Very sad! Made me cry! But the ending was brilliant, gave me goosebumps it was so emotion. "You're father was a very good man, do you think God would abandon him. NO!" Brilliantly done Pope Francis!
A very good man, Pope Francis, possessing compassion and humility. He also gave a good answer that perhaps avoids some of the more uncomfortable doctrinal issues while at the same time not saying something at odds with Catholic doctrine. For whatever reason, fundamentalist types feel the appropriate response would’ve been “Sorry Manny, papa is burning and suffering in Hell. Better luck next time!” Which should tell you where they’re coming from.
This child was brave enough to ask if his father had received that gift of salvation which is attained through faith by grace. Your morality deosn’t save you, your religious ways don’t save you. Not even your legalistic following of Gods laws saves you. We are simply saved by grace through faith. Without this you cannot enter heaven. I would tell the child “I don’t know only your father knows because God looks at the heart of man, even when it comes to salvation. He may have been saved with his dying breath by believing. “ THE TRUTH SETS FREE. It’s not subject but objective
Not a religious person, but I deeply respect Pope Francis. I watched a documentary about him, listening to him talk and such, and it was truly inspiring to see such a kind and down to earth man.
I cried and got emotional when I watched this...it touched me alot...i know our religions are different, im a Christian but i give respect from their beliefs. Whats important is that mankind will love and help each other in this world. The world is getting darker and darker, and it will be harder and harder to control it. Lets help each other, we are just the only ones left to change this world.
The church is evolving? What is that supposed to mean? The pope was asked a "Yes or no" question. Instead of answering it himself, he goaded the crowd into lying on his behalf, and then supported the lie. So yes, he lied.
Unnecessary heartache? What about when that boy turns to John 3:16, and reads ""For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."? True however, we don't know what happened between his father and God in his final days. But that doesn't exclude the fact that the pope lied.
+quadro beam What do you mean, that you 'believe in hope'? Do you mean that you believe that hope exists? Yes, it does. Sometimes it is justified hope and very often it is unjustified hope, leading to disappointment. People who hope in the 'pope' will be disillusioned someday. He is a poser and by no means a Christian, for the content of his 'gospel' is very unlike what Jesus taught. Jesus said, 'I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.' But the 'pope' says (even against some former popes, let alone against Christ) that there are many ways to God. God's existence is NOT DEPENDENT on your belief. 'The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." ' Find out about the history of Israel from Genesis in the Old Testament until now, and then tell me that there is no God: I will know that you have been asleep all along. And Jesus is at the centre of it all. It makes no difference that a majority of present-day Jews are not Christian. Things are going to change, and the Bible explains when and why (Romans chapters 9-11). By the way, Jesus was born a Jew, and all His disciples were Jews, and the Church started out in Jerusalem (NOT Rome!).
+quadro beam - If there is a God or Not, that will be up to YOU and YOU alone! No matter what it is... Go find it, take your time as well. God doesn't have to be Jesus, Allah, or Buddha or even a piece of Shit laying on the sidewalk. Just live your Life and be happy and be kind to Others around you and regardless if God, He or She or It exist!
Jordan Bronson thanks, I understand your point but my belief is mine alone and very separate from my parents. It took me a long time to come to the decision I did.
actually, i'm an atheist, and was just pointing out that the same guy you're crying because of his humbleness, could declare a Holy Crusade with all catholic faithfull to bring utter destruction and ''eternal christian salvation'' into your lives, if he just woke up angry and felt like doing it. have a good day.
Luved when it comes down to the fight against Islam I will defend my religion no doubt. It’s what I believe in. But as of right now this isn’t a threat. It’s just a good man comforting a child. I try to find the good in everyone. I accept that you’re an atheist. I accept the Christian religion. I just don’t follow it. Do with that information what you wish.
My father died, literally in september, 5:00 AM on by Birthday, September 15th he entered eternal life. September 10th I began school, just 5 days later.. Why did god have to take him from me? He was killed in a Accident involving 10 cars in NYC. But why god did you take my father and my best friend from me? Why? I dont know... But, I know he is in heaven because I pray for him to be safe and my family to be safe, because I cry and cry to know that he is gone in the sky, literally before christmas he died, before thanksgiving, and before my baby brothers first bday. I cannot believe this, its crazy to think that, you're with them. Like I was with him just at 12:00 AM Last night before that incident, he said, "Alex, lets go watch a movie tomorrow together," I said, "Okay dad! Love you." Those were my final words, like why does this crap have to happen? I loved him, I know he is watching over all of my family and I

I'm an atheïst, but I believe this pope is a good man with love and compassion in his heart, and for that I salute him. May he change the world a bit for the better 3>
I’m not religious, but Pope Francis is one of the coolest dudes on the planet
God Bless Pope Francis.
"If he can bring truth and reconciliation to the entire church"
I see you're unaware that the pope lied to this little boy.

You should all go to Church at least once, the Lord will bring much more joy to you, give Church a day if you haven’t.
Nubbinz well do you think it would be easy? No
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6 KJV
Made me cry.. Emanuel means "God is with us" 👍
Those who do not go through the son will never reach the father
Im an atheist...and i baptised my 2 kids for the sake of my wifes family..after watching that im glad i did...beautiful
Out of fear. How is that beautiful? I find it disturbing.
Scott Murtagh moron. Raise your children with logic and reason and not fairytales or superstition.
how can you say you're an atheist when some of the commandments of the bible you are doing..did you kill? did you commit adultery? did you love your neighbor?..atheist should read the bible or read the life of Jesus Christ. Hell is real,so as heaven. Do not die if you didn't accept Jesus.
Scott Murtagh
Did you dunk or did you sprinkle?
Pope Francis really restores my faith in humanity
That's like saying gymnastics is a child molestation sport, or that the Boy Scouts are a child molestation organization. Unfortunately, there are child molesters in every walk of life, from the lowest to the highest. I think that when you have child molestation on the mind as much as YOU do, you have to question yourself.
Shut the fuck up Mark Thibodeau. You mentioned molestation FOUR times so you must think about it 4x as much.
Fuck man... :( I didn't expect this.
You said 3 more naughty words though
ROTFLMAO
Amen.
I am Muslim but I respect him🙏🏻
I'm not a religious person...but I believe in working and seeking healing on the spiritual aspect of life...which I fail in often. For me Pope Francis is one man who always touches my heart when I've listened and observed him. A powerful message and moving to witness...thank you.
If it's spiritual life you seek, open your bible!
Ask God to help you as you read, to understand what he is saying to you.

My heart goes out to that little boy. He made me want to cry. I so hope he felt better after speaking with the Pope. Bless both of them.
Oh my!!
Yes the pope did a great thing here since thats what christianity is about being a good person unlike the people attacking you
Agnostics are not "worse than atheists". Many are better than quite a section of atheists.
Why should anyone think agnostics are worse than atheists? Everyone's as good as everyone else, as long as they try to be good people.
Just be a good person and maybe you will be with the good people in the end too. We cant say for sure... There could always be something else after death
I am from Ireland which is mostly catholic I am reached to believe in the religion at school and a few of my family and a lot of my friends r catholic but I am a atheist but pope Francis is a hero to me
Dammit I'm crying again
What a beautiful language
I am a none believer but every time pope Francis talks I chock. He really spread love, I have so much respect for this man, I wish to meet him or go see him one day.
oh my God,i cried so hard watching this.poor little boy. God bless the Pope,he truly has a heart of gold.
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
I'm sure the pope puts his finger in something.
I'm Jewish but converted from Catholicism and still have huge respect for Pope Francis. The Catholic church isn't all bad, despite the horrific actions of a few.
I’m a sikh but this was pretty nice
I’m not catholic, I’m Christian orthodox, but this was a very nice video

As an athiest, this is what the world needs, fake or not. Morals are lost on all men and there seems to be no other way of getting them back.
I keep rewatching this....what a powerful statement of the best in humanity.
I am an atheist, but this man has one of the highest places of respect in my life....
I'm not a follow of the pope but his power to bring people together and spread wisdom that can be used by all walks of life, regardless of religion is humbling. Helping promote humanity is something he truly has a talent for.
God Bless Pope Francis! and God Bless Emanuele!
This is really moving ! This boy is such a good Soul its inspirational ♥️ his father would sure be proud
Well said. ♥
We cry watching this because Jesus is in our hearts!
I'm not even Catholic but this is so sweet. Poor boy, I hope he finds comfort.
Seriously, you Catholics couldn't have picked a better pope. He's a man of tolerance and peace.
I broke into tears.
How do you know who goes into heaven
May this kid be blessed with everything in his life...respect for Pope...what a great message
I don’t necessarily believe in this religion but this act of kindness is amazing.
I wish I could hug the pope ❤️😭😭❤️❤️😍
The pope lies to a little boy on international television, and you want to hug him?
The church is evolving? What is that supposed to mean?
The pope was asked a "Yes or no" question. Instead of answering it himself, he goaded the crowd into lying on his behalf, and then supported the lie.
So yes, he lied.
the Pope is trying to spare this young boy unnecessary heartache. We don't know what his father said to God before he died
Are you born again?

I'm an atheïst, but have to respect pope Francis. he's a great guy.
I am not religous. But the pope truly makes me believe in something. Not nescessarily god, but in hope
+quadro beam
What do you mean, that you 'believe in hope'?
'The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." '
Find out about the history of Israel from Genesis in the Old Testament until now, and then tell me that there is no God: I will know that you have been asleep all along.
+Jesus is Lord - STOP YOUR WORTHLESS PREACHING!!! GOD CAN BE A PIECE OF SHIT TOO!!! LET PEOPLE FIND " GOD " FOR THEMSELVES!
Jordan Bronson thanks, I understand your point but my belief is mine alone and very separate from my parents. It took me a long time to come to the decision I did.
Poor baby. May the Lord Jesus Christ adopt him, as he did me --- when my own folks died.
This is so adorable. It warmed my heart
Im SBNR but the support, comfort and compassion they showed this boy really warmed my heart.

actually, i'm an atheist, and was just pointing out that the same guy you're crying because of his humbleness, could declare a Holy Crusade with all catholic faithfull to bring utter destruction and ''eternal christian salvation'' into your lives, if he just woke up angry and felt like doing it.
have a good day.

Whether you’re a believer or not, you gotta admit, that is pretty darn touching 😢😢Great Pope.
