Some of these settings will increase PS4 FPS and performance, whilst some will enhance PS4 features and show you how to increase the PS4 controller battery life. What PS4 settings should you turn off? Watch this video to see which PS4 settings should you disable to get the most out of your PS4 Pro or standard PS4, and see what the best PS4 settings are in 2022. Great video as always! Keep these tips & tricks coming especially for PS5.
One thing you left out is to also turn off certain pop-up notifications to prevent it from appearing on screen, even while watching Netflix or YT. The only thing I turned off is the group posts. Whenever I try to look at a game's objective and such, I kept getting notifications of community post in a group I'm in for almost every few minutes
Great suggestion! This is something I mentioned in a "Change These Settings Video" as well as some other videos. There is a disable notifications whilst playing video setting to prevent the Netflix issues too :)

So with an SSD upgrade on my pro The Witcher 3 was loading in about 1:25 seconds. After disabling what you listed here it drops to a hair under 1:20. It really did help. 5 seconds is a respectable amount to shave off. Menu also seems a bit more snappier. Thanks man, this whole time I had no idea.
And just what would you do during those 5sec you saved, blink twice? Idiot.
I'm kind of sad how most of these are just novelty settings that don't really improve performance all too heavily.

When friends go online was off by default for me. I always had to add the people I play regularly with manuallu.

Definitely sped up my dust bucket of a ps4
I use to have my controller at dim and YES it really really helps but at least for me, it seems bright does boost the motion controls for games.
Yeah the lightbar is whats tracked so if its brighter that helps :) But battery life is killed.

@@mojo9244 think he was on about VR, there are a few games that use the lightbar tho, think playroom is one. Cover up the lightbar with black tape, and try one of the games using lightbar tracking and you'll see that the lights are tracked. Same reason the VR has lights on and doesn't work in daylight. Needs to track the lights
@@Octorious ok for vr it's Kind of true it just trys to figure out where the Controller and Headset is
@@mojo9244 yeah. Without the light, it has no idea. Try astro bot with a black sticker over the controller and it's impossible. It doesn't get tracked at all.

Is it possible that not every PS4 system has the Text-to-Speech option, even if you change your System Language to English (US)?
Vibration is completely unnecessary and having it off helps your aim and control so much. I took the rumble motors out of both my rollers and they feel so much better and lighter
I will be doing the same thing to the duel sense when I upgrade to a ps5 taking out the adaptive triggers and motors
a controller rumble or trigger pull does not make me feel more emerged into the game it’s a distraction over everything just my personal opinion
If you haven’t tried it turned off I would def give it a shot
I currently have an old PS4 Slim 500GB. I also have a 2020 Hisense 4K TV 60Hz with Dolby Vision & HDR10+ compliant with has a "gaming mode" that supposedly enhance the picture when playing. My question is: is it worth getting the PS4 Pro now? Or just get the PS5 to enjoy full 4K gaming?

How you doing bro..nice video..am having problems with my ps4 controller lagging while am playing or just switching off completely, especially when am using headphone..any suggestions..i have tried resetting the controller with the tiny hole in to rectify the problem but after 10mins the problem is back
when i turned off vibrations my controller felt more smooth it didnt delay anymore

Still learning the little bit of but my brand new PS4 Pro a disabled everything today because I'm still learning a little bit about it so I went ahead and just disable all the notifications
That should keep you much more immersed then as youll be less distracted by the notifications :D

you can actually fully disable the controller’s light bar by dismantling the controller and disconnecting the ribbon cable from the light bar. huge difference in controller life
please note: that this disables your controller’s ability to charge. which ultimately defeats the purpose of reducing the consumption of electricity
Ye you can also make the light bar dim on accessibility settings

My playstation4 sound like jet and I got it for Christmas how do I fix that
When a butterfly miles away flutters it's wings the PS4 will just start skipping forward on streaming and the Blu Ray. Is there a way to change this, or assign the d pad instead. I looked for a remote, but apparently they are all a scam and you can no longer purchase the official one. Or if you know where they sell official ones that would be great as well. Sorry this is so long.

If you want to keep them on then do :) It is a personal preference after all. For example, I love the haptics available on PS5, so I keep them on for the PS5, but vibrations are off on my PS4
