Tip 32 warning. While you can use the power cables on other PlayStation consoles and it will work for some time, you can brick your console by short circuiting the motherboard if you’re not careful. You can use the newer cables on any of the cables older consoles safely and indefinitely because of the power adapter at the power supply within the console. If you use an older power cable like a ps2 or ps3 cable on a ps4 however, it will work for a long time. But you and starving your system of power as the older cables don’t carry as much wattage as the console demands. After a year of two of using an older cable, you can brick your PS3 or PS4. So you have to keep in mind which cables go to what consoles and only use the original cable for the console or a newer console power cable. The older ones will work but eventually brick your console.
hey - please doublecheck the type of the cable - this is a universal cable that used to came with old radios or CD Players from sony also - this cable isnt containing any kind of AC-to DC converter - is just regular wall power -if the cable is a lower quality one it can short or wear over time but u can still use a genuine one from a ps 1 or from other consoles
I think it should be said though that you cannot use any lap top drive if you are swapping it out. If you want 2tb for instance (and why would you not considering the Pro comes with 1tb as standard), you have to make sure the drive is only 9.5mm thick, and many bigger capacity drives are actually thicker than that.

Hey Ryan, just a little CORRECTION here: The Trophy rewards through SONY Rewards are not one time. They start over again after you hit you get your rewards. So they can keep being earned over and over again!

I suppose it's possible that the same doesn't apply to the others, but I'd assume the same for them. I'm still 3 away from my platinum reward. Great video by the way! 4 years later...I always thought the remote play feature was a really cool idea, however I never use it cause there's always about a half second delay which makes most games impossible to play.
I'm finally giving up my PS3 and getting a PS4 (since I want to play Bloodborne but DON'T want to go the PSNow route.) I will have to remember these. And the sidetone option will be perfect when I play DOOM and my grandmother walks in on my Ultra-Nightmare run when it's heating up.
The latest PS4 Pro changed the power cord to the same one as the slim/PS1/PS2/PS3, currently only found in the RDR2 bundle. Apparently it's much quieter too. It has a different product code/model number, I forget what it was tho.
griffinpiff no, I remember my dad had a PS4 and I liked Apple headphones and I used the 35mm jack to put into my dads controller and use it for sound/microphone and I never got it to be a microphone. I believe sound may have came thru but I remember it not being able to be a mic.

Share play is an amazing system. Most casual PS4 owner or other platform owner doesnt know about this option. How remote play n Share play works. I love PS for this. Share play u can use to play games like any sports game like Fifa n play the game with ur friend as if ur friend also own that game. If u stuck at a place then u can ask ur friend for help.u have to share play n give the controller to them to complete the mission also u can take back the controller any moment. Most inportabtly u can play games with friends who doesnt own that game. Remote play is another amazing functuon. U just play the game if u have a PSVITA system or u can also do that with ur PC. Sony certified cell phone support this app. But u can jailbreak this n play with ur android device.

Good Video Ryan. I always leave my PS4 Pro Standby Mode almost everyday with Boost Mode On, and it has a 4 TB Hard Drive install which equals to 3.58 TB, I have a video showing how I install it.
