Swap your hard drive out with an ssd. I did it in my ps4 slim and it's so much faster and doesn't lag in menus and the home screen and loading times are extremely short
Same. I did a 2 TB SSD and turned off the home screen feature which uses internet speeds to show what's titles are for sale.

changing ps4 resolution doesnt do anything, because its output resolution and not render resolution, placebo effect? or maybe TV not being able to handle it for some dumb reason

Open up your PS4 and clean it out….if it is super loud and shutting down…the heat sink is clogged. Easy to do👍🏻
I have a PS4 Slim I put an SSD HDD in it, it’s like a whole new PS it loads really quick the frame rate is noticeably higher gonna find out my true frame rate later I’ve heard you press F3 or F8 on a keyboard to get a FPS counter on PS4/5

If you switch it off at the wall and do this, it will discharge any excess static in the battery.
Ps4 also rebuilds database when you unplug it while its on and the turn it back on. But its not recommended

A huge difference is possible if you swap over to a SSD. Worked wonders for me

i have one major tip (thats what she said) but for real. Never leave your PS4 run Netflix or Spotify in the back that what broke my PS4 leavinjg Netflix while i was sleeping or smooshing. Once u r done using these apps shut off ur ps4
Can you do this if you use an external hard drive plugged into USB?
Not quite sure, external HDD uses USB interface, however, the internal HDD of the ps4 uses SATA interface. Better load the entire contents of your external HDD to the ps4 then try rebuilding database

@@carsandzombies8257 Although, every time you boot on your ps4, connect the EHDD to USB interface. Neverthless, you have to sacrfice the performance. EHDD are extremely plodding
If your really desperate for preformance buy a better disc drive and external storage also clean your fans. Don't bother doing this reboot every month its silly :)

If it’s very buggy laggy try setting your TV to game mode if that’s an option on your TV. It took my lag completely away

Yes, but turning on boost mode only enhances pre ps4 pro games, the ps4 pro games are already optimized for you, so doing anything described in this video will not help at all.

Replace your thermal paste if your ps4 survived for more than 2 years thus clear dirt from the fan too. These methods would void thermal throttling.
