I forgot the build but with dex and a certain ring you can easily cheese the entire game with a bow.
Probably hawk ring behind the giant blacksmith, it increases bow range. Together with BBoP it can shoot pretty far and cheese stuff. With feather arrows you can cheese even harder.

@@cuarmento You can turn online off on PC at least. But, in true Dark Souls 2 fashion, it's not as straightforward as the other games and you always get two popups for it on startup.
Gutter and Black Gulch are arguably less hellish than Blighttown.

Im curious, how many arrows did she use? 100-200 arrows isnt technically wrong but that estimation is used when the player is a low level.

Yes, the bosses are easy but the old game mechanics are different and that makes it kinda difficult.
Yes and no basically, the fundamentals are there, but there's enough "old game jank" to cause some issues, as someone that played the games in reverse order, 1 ended up feeling like the easiest
this is late, but not really. DS1 is much more punishing than Elden Ring at times, so it won't be a complete cakewalk. The bosses are much easier though. But as long as you're patient and learn the game, not unreasonably difficult. Just punishing and confusing.
The Drake sword is cool but it isn't the best, next stream chats should tell her to change it.

You never have enough arrows in DS and when you have the souls to buy em. it's always better than when you need em and have no souls and you have to pop some souls to buy them. At least that's how i look at it a soon as i can fire a bow i buy the max amount of arrows i can and it's not like it's demon's souls where the weight of the arrows is problem so you become overburdened when you carry to much arrows so why not.

She's not getting tricked, it's more so the fact that the advice she's getting comes from a bunch of complete F'ING noobs in the game. She has a very obviously str invested character, and they keep giving her absolutely idiotic advice like getting the black knight sword, which is a quality build weapon, or, just today, to use the damn falchion, of all weapons, that's one of the best dex scaling weapons, on a str build. She's doing surprisingly well considering the amoeba level "help" she's getting 🤦♂️🤷🏼♂️
Watching this made me remember why I hated this game! The enemies and bosses weren't difficult, however falling is random and ridiculous, the controls are wonky and most of the time it's absolutely disgusting to look at.
