To be fair it was a good thing, she would've wasted her time and resources going back to upgrade the bonfire when she was gonna have a guaranteed loss anyway
She was really in the zone for that last Artorias fight. She was probably too focused that she forgot to heal, I was at the edge of my seat the whole time begging her to heal lol
She was partially not healing cuz she was afraid he'd hit her when she was stuck in the healing animation. So instead she figured it safer to just keep the rhythm going.
I must say I'm impressed with Pekora. She died so quickly at the beginning, and on her winning attempt she barely healed and counterattacked after EVERY jump. This was beautiful.
thats the beauty of it you can really tell whats going into her mind at the end (something like dodge right and hit x 3, or got lucky by upper left slash then knowing where to dodge next, her saying she wont estus since he will attack her mid animation, and lastly that ending where she being cotious since she one shot away and about to let altorias buff up perhaps with the intention to heal but saw the his health and oportunity to attack since he's on animation) trully beautifull and it makes me love the game more and more.
Her last attempt on artorias was so good, damn she plays really patiently once she gets the moveset down. Almost uncharacteristically good considering how she was eating attacks left and right up until it clicked for her.
Pekora dying randomly and falling of edges is just so incredibly satisfying. But in all honesty she is such a gamer for beating Artorias the way she did!
Knight Artorias is easily one of the Best Bosses in DS1! Such a good fast-paced Back 'n Forth fight with a great setting, music, and lore, to accompany it... Also seeing Pekora get the kill just as he was about to do his AOE/Buff was pretty awesome to see!!
@@EllaKarhuI personally see lots of his influence in bosses like Maria and Gael for example. Simple on paper but really high execution and essentially punish or get punished The Fight.
Artorias is one of the bosses in DS1 that can force the player to match their pace. I'm specifically talking about his buffing, where you either let him buff or go in hoping for a stagger. It keeps you on your toes. He's my top 1 bossfight for DS1, then Manus, then Ornstein & Smough.
Never watched Pekora before, but your Dark Souls clips of her give me life. Watching JP members is not very fun for me because of the language barrier, so having longer subtitled compilations of cool playthroughs like this one really helps me enjoy this side of Hololive I wouldn't normally be able to. I'm having a blast with your clips, thank you!
Nice peko! Artorias is a major step up in difficulty in Dark Souls 1 in how quickly the player needs to decide which way to roll and when to counter. Most other bosses in D1 do not have timings that tight. Many bosses in the sequels copied this tight timing requirement, so that if you now go back and fight him, it's nothing special, but back then Artorias was a major hurdle for DS players.
She only died to Gravity, otherwise just rolled over Seath's Fun Library. Even one tried Sanctuary loser. Rest of deaths was to Arty. I welcome the Peko to the Souls Vet category. Now all that's left is to beat Manus and to parry-rekt Gwyn.
artorias is simply the nameless king of ds1.. it need more precise decision than the other bosses.. and when u get hang on his moveset the fight is alr over.. truly a fun boss to fight
Pekora falls 10x more in souls like games than any platforming games she played, and she did good in this more than i did it ds1 back in the days. And i hope she finish elden ring after this.
And these locations where it is easy to fall, in my opinion, do not deserve to be cleared. Just run past all the enemies and pick up the items on the ground if you want. Sorry Miyazaki, but dying by falling is no fun
Never knew artorias buff could be interrupted. I feel like artorias was harder than Manus. He gets faster if you don't know that you can stop his buff.
@@Gakusangi i just want her to experience Sir Alonne and Fume Knight boss fights because they are the only bosses I like on that game. the rest are just damn mid i want to quit the game mid-progress
@@hydrohomiejin5114 Sir Alonne is pretty good, his worst thing is that grab attack that can impale you even if you're like... behind the hilt of the sword when he lounges XD Fume Knight is cool, but his gimmick can totally screw you in that fight and there's a limited amount of the items necessary to actually de-buff him fully so... you can softlock the fight for yourself. Otherwise, yeah, them and the Looking Glass Knight are like my favorites in the game.
Man, I remember beating shit out of Artorias with keyboard and mouse on the first try. My gamepad started dying (both sticks started drifting and locking in one place) and I didn't had internet to try summon some players. I was mentally destroyed after kicking his ass...
So Artorias isn't really weak? I walked through it holding a large shield of Artorias in my left hand and a zweihander in my right hand. Killed him on the first try without understanding why they call him a difficult boss. Artorias couldn't penetrate my shield and easily turned into a pancake
Pekora vs gravity more like lmao
gravity is the real boss in any souls game
Whoever told her the fog gate before the unkillable seath encounter was not a boss is evil haha
Bro I was SHOOK when I saw that
To be fair it was a good thing, she would've wasted her time and resources going back to upgrade the bonfire when she was gonna have a guaranteed loss anyway
Top 10 anime betrayal
Technically it wasn't
Lol, and there's the fact that you can walk back out of that particular fog gate

Our war criminal is just that talented
I didn’t expect her to be that good at the end against artorias but wow she’s amazing 😮

she was patient fr fr
After x amounts of tries, eventually you’ll know what to look for in a boss lol.

It could've gone south had Artorias finished his buff since it would've killed Pekora too!
for me it is the best of Ds1, super fun and has this clear feeling coming from bloodborne.
for sure its one of the easiest if you compare it to today's souls/souls like games, but at that time of release, no one knew

The bloodlust in her voice when she said she’ll kill them 🤣
Artorias really forces Pekora to actually see where she's dodging. Panic roll isn't enough to face him.
The way this game teaches you to play is still incredible to see. The dodge and attack sequence in the last fight was just beautiful.
The mimic feels just as scammed when the prey its eating just dissolves
the amount of gravity ded is truly dark souls experience
Pekora have that bad habit of getting hit once then straight heals herself in front of the boss face and end up getting punish lol
Pekora good at this that last battle was amazing.

Artorias is one of the hardest (and coolest) bosses in Dark Souls. She did great battling him!

Its nice to see traditions being kept. Like people getting absolute destroyed by Artorias combo the first time they fight him

I do hope she decides to fight Kalameet, that would be fun to watch

Those of us that died so many times this way like Pekora in Dark Souls remastered knows well Pekora's pain.
I like that she's using Quelaag's Furysword
Easily my favourite weapon in DS1
Goddamit. I never know you could chop the crystal dragon's tail. Now I have to install the game again...
Yeah you will get the moonlight greatsword from Seath's tail
