The lock-on camera is a great example of a helpful tool that actually makes the game harder
I love FromSoft games but damn their camera controls suck ass a good amount of the time. I don't buy the excuse that it is part of the difficulty, you'd think it'd be something they could have figured out by now.

The Iron Golem segment is clear proof that falling off the edge is a greater threat than the boss itself during that fight.
I'm half convinced that the camera works for the enemies in DS
You can fight him in the middle, defeat the giants throwing barrels and they won’t respawn. The fight takes FOREVER unless you use blunt damage, the Large club you get in blighttown puts in work.

09:35 That was cheap, not Pekora's fault. She's doing pretty good at taking out bosses though, although she's much braver than me to just run through areas and leave enemies alive. I clear out the whole place when I get into a new room, you not only get more souls for upgrades but then you can get some items too.
Yeah, many people say DS1 is "tough but fair," but there are plenty of examples where there's just cheap shit like this that gets you killed and not entirely your fault. I'm glad the later games did away with most of that.

Actually what makes darksoul difficult is their level design....or roughly i could say "dirty cheap trick" multi boss level with trap, mob minions with also with trap, fall death, floor with mud make you dificullt to walk normally with a mid boss wielding halberd.
