      I had always thought content mattered more than length. It would seem a 'Readers Digest' for video is desired by some, but not by me. ☮

      @@artemisXsidecross What the commenter meant was that they appreciate the video length of 11:11:11 specifically, because you know, 11:11, angel number/special number/cosmic number, whatever you would like to call it. Not because it is a short or long or just right video length.

    i am repeating this comment here just in hopes of sparking a discussion
    Recently i had a mushroom trip while watching the new TMNT movie, i’ve tripped more times than i can count so this was just one of those for fun nights. However regardless of my intentions of just having fun the mushrooms saw i was in for a learning experience. Now this was by no means a bad trip, but it was intense and i felt the presence of alien intelligence. Now i couldn’t exactly say what type of alien, wether it was extra terrestrial or not is undetermined but it was a foreign consciousness. it occurred briefly during the scene when the turtles come into contact with the toxic sludge, thus granting/burdening them consciousness. The whole movie then revolves around this troubling ‘coming into consciousness’ and having to deal with the- all of it. I saw myself in the same predicament in a new light. I’ve had many trips where i felt a foreign presence or realized the nature of our ways and our relationship with the planet. However this experience was just so in my face and on the nose and it felt alien in a troubling way, what terrance has always talked about is our driving towards- a point? a great extinction? i dont know. I think that once we gained this consciousness we really did set a process in motion and we are just caught in the gears of it all. Anyways i also played Mario wonder and it was fucking awesome while tripping!

      @ThePoehladian 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is only one consciousness - Source.......there are however levels of this consciousness.
      What you experienced was likely your subconscious. It/you knew what you needed to experience, which was a slightly higher level of consciousness THROUGH integration of some things in your subconscious.

    • @Truewing777
      @Truewing777 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve also noticed strange things about this movie.. I would say.. maybe you experienced some kind of interdimensional ordeal.. they say the eyes are the window to the soul.. The Screen, as a filter/seal, is merely a window into other dimensions.. or at least, has the potential to be..

    c. 44:44 Even McKenna did not think to mention micro dosing of sativa weed edibles in a (one single person) argument about production and industry fueled by caffeine. That shows how lack of legal production and research (even a lack of anecdotal "facts" from a public in 1990's, etc.) hinders what seems like common knowledge.

    I did not know Terence McKenna, a year younger than myself, even though we were both in Berkeley at the same time, but I do wonder what he would think of these comments here.
    We have many who think content length is more important than what is being said while other use his talk as a tranquilizer or sleep aid. Still others think his style and use of language is what they take notice. That is the same trick carnival barkers and street hustlers use.
    Marshal McLuhan and anyone else would had or still studies media would have had a field day discussing the profound changes in media and how it is used and disseminated.
    ‘The Times That Are a Changing’ as Bob Dylan sang.

      I think.. you are right.. he has a way with words.. but ultimately it is never the quantity of what is said.. but the quality :)

      I wrote a long response but it was somehow lost. Here's a quick recap:
      I hear you: especially in the past several weeks I have also recently been disallusioned with the quality of comments. However, I do not believe that means that the majority of people are missing the point, given that these sorts of ideas are difficult to express (especially in a comment!) And that those who have possibly gained a more profound insight are the humble and secure enough not to feel the need to validate their conclusions in this format.
      I was a computer engineering student in the 90s when I first discovered Terrence McKenna. Like many others, at the time I had the belief that with this new invention of the internet, with instant free access to information and immediate communication with anyone/everyone, we would spread wisdom and enlightenment more than any other time in history.
      While it is now obvious that we were hopelessly naive to believe that, I still prefer to live in a world where thousands of people make the effort to listen to old audio-only lectures from someone who died decades ago. I don't think most of us would be here and I don't think his words would still be living on if most of us were missing the point. (Even if a vocal minority makes it appear that way.)
      (I apologize I worded my first attempt at this response much more eloquently; I do envy Terrence's way with words - while it is not as important as the content of this messages, these things are intrinsically difficult to discuss, so I find value in his ability to do it so eloquently. (It is inspiring: even if my posts turn out worthless (lol even without rewrites ;) I take some pleasure from the attempt.)
