Excellent review Brian. Your description of the entire album was spot on and your enthusiasm made me go check it out on their band camp page. Needless to say I ordered it immediately on LP. Thanks for the recommendation and have a great weekend. John :)
Hi Brian, well once again this took me twice as long to watch as I was pausing and listening to recommended tracks and from what I heard, I liked a lot. I appreciate your in depth and honest review of the album. From what I heard of the album, I did hear punk elements in the music, a Joan Jett meets The Donnas meets Jimmy Eat World. Awesome job and I will be listening to the entire album! Hope all is well and sorry for the radio silence as of late. Best, Steve
Pretty catchy stuff, Brian. Playing the tracks as I hear your review. Fork in The Toaster, and as caustic as battery acid...yikes! It's always fun to be excited about a new band and record😎🎶
Brian this was a great review of the new album. You did so well I streamed it on TH-cam. Not for me 😅 but you opened that door and I walked thru it. Well 👍 done 🍻
I showed Sharen Is Karen on my last vinyl finds. I had only streamed it once and showed it the day it arrived. As a result I didn’t have much constructive to say.
I checked them out and they got the official audio rip available now on TH-cam. Yup, very power-pop slash pop-punk. I doubt I'm going to get a comp copy of it, but I've barely begun chomping through filming my backlog of hot new arrivals as it is. And shrinkwrap and hype stickers are life! Hahaha
Just finished streaming that album- your description was pretty much bang on- I liked ‘Fork in the Toaster’ and ‘Tear it Up’ the most 👍 Definitely a revisit-worthy album! Happy Friday!
Hey Brian! How's it going? Funny. I literally came here following watching Vinyl Richie talk about this artist. Very cool. Good to see you. Cheers bud! 🍻✌️🤘🎶🤘
A great band name, I'll mention it to my partner who's called Karen and has a friend called Sharon. I think I saw someone else talking about this record the other day (or maybe it was yourself on a vinyl update?). I never buy records from Bandcamp which makes me feel a bit uncharitable and stuck-in-the-mud, but I just view it as a slippery slope given my relative lack of shelf space. Sounds like an interesting record though so will try and stream it!
Shipping from Bandcamp to Canada are very expensive, which is a bummer, because there is always interesting records. In fact, shipping to Canada (and within Canada) is crazy, so I only ever order from Amazon with free shipping. Otherwise, I end up paying double the price of the record or more for shipping 😡
Listening to you describe the music, I paused the video to check out the music. Considering just the music, it totally reminds me recent Shonen Knife (which I’ve been listening to a lot recently). It has a little more full sound, but before the vocals come in, I can easily imagine Naoko Yamano’s voice coming in. The vocals are good though. Yeah, it’s a solid album!
I really like the jacket and vinyl. Orange is one of my favorite colors. After hearing your review, I was curious about the music. I'm going to go to the site and check it out. You could have a second career as a music critic.
You know what? I have heard that Richie didn't have anything constructive to say about this. I have no seen this record on maybe five channels. That's good news for the band, I think!
Hi Brian, something's going on here. 🤔 First I see Elliot Crews review the album, then Richie and now you. So I had to go and listen to it. Yeah it's pretty good U.S. pop punk. Fork in the Toaster is my favourite track. Cheers Mike
@@EmbryonicRobot I really like the hard almost "Weezer-like" sound and I do hear a pop-punk leaning there too. It's pretty good and I need to hear it a few more times to see if something "sticks the landing" for me.

Awesome. Great to hear!
Hey Brian. Great video. Love your breakdown of the album. And I am off to check it out. Thanks & Cheers
Very cool. Thanks, Bobby 👍
sounds interesting. i’ll give it a listen. always looking to check out some new music especially with that Brian Seal of Approval.
Be careful! I have been known to lead some people astray with my music suggestions!
@ hahah. well in this case you’re on point. good stuff.
Wow, that's quite an endorsement. The orange translucent vinyl looks awesome. I'm listening on Bandcamp now. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for giving it a listen, Randy 🙂
Real nice + detailed review Brian. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in video form 😁
Thanks, Chance! I hope some other people have a listen to it.

Joan Jett meets the Donnas meets Jimmy Eat World! Maybe you should be a reviewer 👌👍
@@EmbryonicRobot I think I'll have to get me a copy of this album!
Cool! 👍
@@EmbryonicRobot Just ordered a copy! Thanks for the link!
👍👏
Well done review! These guys need to hire you for PR👍
Thanks, Gary. I could use the extra income 🙂

Cool! It is a catchy record 🙂
Your description makes it sound like a record that I would like. I will have to check it out.
Hopefully, I have not misled you!
Brian this was a great review of the new album.

Hi Greg - That's OK. I done the same over the years and closed lots of doors behind me 🙂
I showed Sharen Is Karen on my last vinyl finds. I had only streamed it once and showed it the day it arrived. As a result I didn’t have much constructive to say.
To be honest, I found rather difficult to say anything useful! Record reviewing might be harder than it looks...

Ha ha. I agree. I do like to keep the hype stickers. Way back in the day, I just threw them in the trash. I wish I had kept them!
Just finished streaming that album- your description was pretty much bang on- I liked ‘Fork in the Toaster’ and ‘Tear it Up’ the most 👍 Definitely a revisit-worthy album! Happy Friday!

This record has gotten some love recently in the VC!

Ah, it was Vinyl Richie....I should have scrolled down first.

Mazzy also showed this, and so did Wyoming Dave and Elliott Crews. Word is getting around, it seems.

Hi Peter, I have only heard on Shonen Knife CD, and that was ages ago. But, I will take your word for it! I guess I should listen to them again.
@ I’m planning a video going over their discography. Maybe that’ll help!
@@musicisajourney That will be handy!
@musicisajourney I also will be looking forward to that Shonen Knife overview, Peter. Cycling Is Fun! 😎🎶
@ It’s all because of you this will happen. You know that, Ed, right?
hey brian,i got a copy, its a awesome album,
I remember that you showed it! I'm glad we agree 👍

Ha ha! Maybe music critic could be a retirement goal 🙂
@ free albums
I guess that would be a good arrangement!
I've seen this shown around, lately. Great review, Brian! I saw Vinyl Richie show this, too. He didn't have anything constructive to say, though. 😊

It's mysterious, isn't it? Mazzy showed it too! It must mean something 🙂
Interesting. I do love the music of Dada, if it's the same band that had the hit Dizz Knee Land. I'll have to stream this one. Assignment accepted.
Cool. I would be curious to hear what you think if it!

Keep the shrink wrap!!!!
"Grip it and rip it!" No way; I will keep the shrink wrap 🙂
