If you replace the bow once a year or 2 it retains most of its value. I have had every flagship from Hoyt and Mathews the last 5 years. I sell and upgrade 6months to a year and lose maybe 100-200 dollars

My Ventum33 is right there with the Solution and my Sr6 basically is identical to the Solution but w/o the dead lock system to adjust cam lean. I think I will get the new Mathews this year. I plan on keeping my RX5 and use it as a back up for next year.
I had the chance today to shoot the v3x 29/33, ventum 30, and rx7...man, the rx7...insane. Smooth, comfy, light, integrated, quiet, low vibration. Ordered a carbon 30...
The Ventum Pro 33 has my attention this year. Thanks for the great run down of the new line up and looking forward to see what Bowtech drops this year as well.
There must be someone that’s working at either Mathews or Hoyt that is communicating back and forth on what there new bow will have. It seems the last couple years they have been doing basically the same upgrades.
About time that Hoyt made a Carbon bow that had a weight savings that justified the cost. Stiffer, lighter, just as fast...might be a winner finally (RX7).
The aluminum bow still as smooth of a draw? Last year, with my draw length (28 in.), it felt like I was pulling 10lbs lighter draw weight.I was really nervous they’d tweak and mess that up.
I've watched tons of comparison videos lately. I would like to see comparisons of new models versus stuff atleast 10yrs old. Ventum, vx3, etc versus stuff like the solo cam, rytera alien x, hoyt vertical etc...
It’s funny how people complain about Hoyt raising their prices every year and how they are losing customers because of it. But the fact is that TONS of people are still spending the money on their bows. They keep raising the prices because people keep buying their product. You can’t deny that. They aren’t dummies.
Checked an RX7 Ultra out today, while looking for parts for the RX5 I just got. I came away perplexed and here’s why: fit and finish - stabilizer mounting points have gaps in different spots around the mount itself; why is the dual wheel now horizontal instead of 30-45 deg slant; what’s with taking away the molding on the arrow rest; so the picatinny is now integrated (wasn’t it that way years ago?) granted it’s better than wait on a pic rail!!! Aside from the carbon molding design (which appears to have QC issues) the rest seems like “rebranding and cosmetic.” I’m the kind of person who cares less about how it looks so long as it does the job. And for that price does it well if not better than all the others!
Shot all the flagship bows this week and Hoyt venum is best in my opinion!! RX7 is awesome but not paying 2 grand for bow!! Mathew’s is close but pulls way to hard and bow tech still has the hand shock
They seem nice, but not huge differences over last year. The carbon riser looks like the biggest difference. Probably even more expensive this year though.

Did they fix the horrible cam lean from last year HBX cams. Funny to see the leaf still on the cam, they call it a wing now to help cam recover faster? Common now none of the binary cams from other manufacturers need that leaf on the side it’s obviously to keep the string on trac cuz they can’t fix the cam lean so they put a bandaid on it. To Hoyt it’s not a flaw, it’s feature

I am not a great archer, so I think all of these bows can do much better than I am capable of, so I am not a great one to speak of the minute differences of each bow. The 33 is a great bow and I am hoping to shoot it for a few years.
I have owned several Hoyt bows and they all had cam lean issues. But it was mainly at rest and did not lean as bad at full draw. They all could be tuned to shoot well. But for what they are charging I am out. I have been shooting the two Mathews vertix bows I bought in 2019. And don look like I will upgrade this year either. Nice iterations but I'll wait next year to see if in 2023 any brand will offer a larger ATA hunting bow which could be used for 3D and field tournaments. Last one was the Halon X Comp, which was the largest ATA bow from recent times which had the rack holes for a quiver while having 37" ATA.
@@jayonez137 To be honest the Atlas seems a better fit for that task. The riser is based on the VXR 31.5 and the limbs are longer (34.75 ATA) with almost 8" brace height. What I don't love about is that starts at 29.5" draw length which is my current draw, and I'm afrad that with the tendency from Mathews to go long with their specs the minumum DL is in reality closer to 30". And I would hate to have a bad anchor point due that reason.
So the aluminum bow is probably going to MSRP at $1,800, and the carbon bow will retail at $5,000. They got to get a grip on their prices! Rifle and pistol prices have an even excelled like bow prices. Ridiculous!

I agree. Same bow as last year, shooters will feel no difference, any difference will be in their minds to justify their purchase. Mathews only did slightly better, with the 33 inch bow offering something worth considering in the longer axle to axle. ive shot both. Im neither a hoyt lover or a Mathews lover. I like to shoot as many newer bows that I can before I buy one. Ive shot the new Hoyt Ventum pro and since im a longer draw person, i like the longer A to A bows. I absolutely thought the new Mathews V3X 33 was the smoothest and most balanced bows I've ever shot in my life. It's outrageous. I shot the V3's but there are something about the v3x's that make it so much more comfortable to shoot. The v3's almost had what i call a violent draw cycle. When you finally made it past the peak and then hit the valley and immediately into the wall, well, if you had to let off for any reason, there was no easy way to let it off without yanking your arm out of socket. These new V3X's are not like that. Not at all. I am one of the lucky people to already have a chance to buy a V3X. Like I said, I've shot the new Hoyt and the new Elite and new PSE carbon. There is nothing like the new Mathews. Im so glad I've had the chance to get one. No use getting one if youre not going to use it like its supposed to be used. May as well stick with the V3. But the balance of the bow using the bridge lock technology with the mathews QAD integrated rest and the lowpro quiver makes it all worth it. Take a trip to your archery shop and shoot one of the floor models that they should have now. I promise you, everyone here, will absolutely love the way it draws, shoots, how dead in the hand and how quiet it is. Mathews is so far ahead of Hoyt and PSE and Elite and Bear, you name it. Like I said, If I could buy a Bear compound that felt this good shooting it, I would buy it but I think Mathews has a monopoly on the "Best" bows made.

Can’t somebody make a stand that doesn’t have your bottom cam stubbed into the dirt?
Mathews engage limb legs. They keep the cam off of the ground
It's easy with the lower stabilizer on the hoyt. Use a traditional stabilizer there. Then you'll have what you want
Mathews did
Mathews dude!!!
@@toddlymburner5783 then why are you here?
I’ve gotta ask strictly out of curiousity. Why wasn’t the Hoyt highline in this video?
We haven’t seen one yet
Nice iterations but I'll wait next year to see if in 2023 any brand will offer a larger ATA hunting bow which could be used for 3D and field tournaments. Last one was the Halon X Comp, which was the largest ATA bow from recent times which had the rack holes for a quiver while having 37" ATA.
Get the V3X 33 if you want a bow that holds like a Tournament bow.
Super long riser.
Sweet rig
Hoyt released the "Highline" today which hits what you are looking for
@@jayonez137 To be honest the Atlas seems a better fit for that task.
@@Buran01
That makes sense
All of my Matthews have ran about 1/4”-1/2” long except my old Heli-m.
You would have to go shoot one and see how it feels.
Is the Hoyt carbon lighter than PSE stealth carbon
Nope.
Damn that is soooooo...🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
👍Good!
Yes yes and yyeeeeeeees!!! 💘
Did they move these bows to a thicker axel?
Waiting for target bow !!!!
You say the same thing about every single bow you shoot.
I miss the truck running over the riser torture tests !!
So the aluminum bow is probably going to MSRP at $1,800, and the carbon bow will retail at $5,000. They got to get a grip on their prices! Rifle and pistol prices have an even excelled like bow prices. Ridiculous!
I paid 1040$ for a new Ventum33. Where you getting 1800$ for the Ventum33? So sweet in the Dark Army Green. Ahh I love it.
I’m sorry but can anyone set the speed standard for these bows at 350? 360? With all this technology bow speed seems to be stagnant
Well the problem with that is you starting getting into arrow flight problems and spine problems for those ridiculously high FOC guys.
Anything over like 300 fps you'll get funny flight out of your arrow you really want to.be like going between 270 295 is a good sweet spot atleast for me and others I talk to
Arrow flight, tuning, vibration will increase big time. This is as fast as a bow can get and be comfortable and accurate. Any more speed and your taking away from something
@@toddlymburner5783 idk I had a Halon32 5 and I gotta say I regret letting it go
@@voxpopuli905 Haylon 32 was 350 IBO. Not really faster than current bows with the efficiency of the new ones. I shot one and at my draw length only shot 5 FPS faster than my VXR
Binary cams are a downgrade in my opinion. Now how are they gunna get the cam lean out of the bow?
You want a good bow for the bush .. get a PSE levitate..
I'm sorry but the prices on these Bows are ridiculous
It’s funny watching bows copy each other on colors. For a while each company went with the greys and now everyone is rushing to go to that green color
That Wilderness color is...super cool and vanishes easily.
@@kee7678 yeah I like it too
Hoyt has steadily removed more and more of their target market simply by raising the price exponentially. Nowadays all bows are incredible, why spend 2k when you get the same for 1k. This is coming from someone who’s shot Hoyt their whole life. It’s a shame.
The new 21 ventum33 is amazing! Love HOYT also.. Bowtech is my favorite brand tho. There just so much features in all there bows and they far Surpass the Mathews bows imo.. HOYT is moving in the right direction
@@michaelmangino9819 from a product standpoint yes I agree. From a price point perspective, no way
@@chasecampbell7840 I mean yea that's a given that your gonna spend 1100-1200$,on a new bow. No matter if its HOYT, Mathews, Bowtech, prime, elite, PSE.. How much do they cost? Oh yea there all overpriced. Heck how about 3k on a 10point crossbow! Haha now that's a joke.
Wuuuuut? RX7 ? Good lord the RX5 hasn’t even cooled off yet 🙄
This usually isn’t true about Hoyt but they just released the same bow.
Check the carbon bows.....
I agree. Same bow as last year, shooters will feel no difference, any difference will be in their minds to justify their purchase. Mathews only did slightly better, with the 33 inch bow offering something worth considering in the longer axle to axle. More than ever the cost to be creative is really high, so not too surprised these companies are kind of holding steady.....
@@huntsimple9527 the grip feels way better to me and too everyone that has touched it so far and that’s coming from an elite guy, the angle feels more natural as mentioned, Mathews has done nothing significant so I’ll have to disagree with the 33 statement, the traverse still feels better than any of there newer bows in draw (not as stiff) and everything else is almost tip for tap. They really need to change their grip or take it off and just go to the riser which is way nicer and more consistent. But yes you’re correct on the companies holding steady for the most part to save money and just make small changes to get people to bite.
@@huntsimple9527 even mathews haven't changed much since the halon 32 other then size and little features shot the new 33 Ata mathews wasn't really impressed compared to my traverse just felt like a similar bow but the traverse still has the better draw cycle only benefit of the new mathews is if you didn't buy the traverse back then
@@paytenblevins3401 I feel how you feel the traverse to me Is still the best bow mathews ever made and the draw is better then any newer mathews after the switchweight system came on the cams it ruined the draw for Me still nice but not like the traverse and the grip definitely agree shot the engage grip for a bit but never fell in love with it but never hated it took it off and now been shooting off the riser last year and a half much better engage grip was a improvement but needs tweaks it's too rounded in the back and easy to torque shooting off the riser makes it just feel like a different bow
Looks like last years
🥳🥳
Chinas finest !
Mathews owners have taken over hoyt as the apple fans of the bow world... there I said it. Everyone was thinking it.
ive shot both.
Mathews is overrated. Just paying for the name. Hoyt beats Mathews
@@jasonsanders6630 All you Hoyt boys are all the same. They could sell a stick with a string on it and you guys would love it and pay $1850 for it to boot. What does that say about you guys? At least most Mathews shooters have had other bows and have been won over by Mathews but you Hoyt boys, lol, you would buy anything if it had Hoyt’s name on it.
@@jasonsanders6630 if Hoyt beat Mathews, I would be shooting one. Lmfao
@@randyboland3757 You’re just paying for a name bud. You fell for the hype like a fanboy 😂 Hoyt > Mathews
@@jasonsanders6630 you obviously haven’t read through all my replies. You’re not even worth talking to.
Hoyt has lost their way IMO! It feels like they’re chasing not leading!
🤦♂️
Same bow just like PSE and Matthew’s lol
Check the carbon bows....
I don't think it's enough for me to get rid of my rx5 ultra.
@@letsgobrandon8375 I totally get that...I will say the 7 is a half pound lighter and the shooting experience is very different with that new riser.
@@pjreilly3997 the rx5 ultra is the perfect fit for me. I never thought I would buy a Hoyt I did not like the way they used to feel I I had my heart set on the pse ntn Dudley 34 but after I shot what my shop had including bowtech and Mathews I left with the rx5 ultra. Ill probably go shoot them when they come in but it would take ALOT for me to get a new bow.
First!
I'm not impressed with your performance.....GSP
I had every hoyt up to the rx1 ....I shot a bowtech and especially the solution and I sold all my hoyts now I own three bowtech one prime nexus 4 three Mathews.....hoyt is overated and customer service is not good
Good video. But bowtech has beat everyone this year in my opinion. I was really expecting a long ata, long draw ventum this year but I’ll probly never get to see that bow.
So do you know what bowtech is bringing to the table for 2022?
They haven’t released anything yet dude! Stop lying!
Why you guys gripe about anything needed over 33inches...there is NO NEED for lon atas with the technology today, goodgrief
Damn right. Bowtech Solution is the Bomb digaty! It's crazy how the draw on the HOYT and lettoff is very similar to the Ventum33. I love that in both of them.
I know they make a great product but... I find Hoyts risers absolutely hideous.
Fghkii
it seems like they copycat Mathews
You mean the carbon, or the bridged riser, or the integrated stabilizer?
Oh wait I know…the split limbs!
Yea that carbon really copys mathews....
Literally did the same shit Mathews did… oh hey here’s the new bow… same as last years model.
Those risers look like ASS... every time he drew one, it took a full minute for the bow to settle in his hand..They will never shot right!
The carbon RX-7 is so ugly.
Agreed!
Am I the only one that thinks hoyt bows are super ugly? It really doesn't matter if it performs well... But I'm just saying lol
Yep! it's just you in a room all by yourself
I assure you that if you pick one up it will change your perspective!!
You are not only.and I me to
Yup just me in that room plus everyone else that shoots a Mathews, prime, PSE, elite, bear etc...not because they out perform hoyt, because hoyts are ugly. And over rated and over priced.
@@vincedigiovanni8887 Mathews is overrated. You fell for the poison and paying for the name.
I aint feeling that carbon rx7 look.. i think the rx4-5 look was better in design. Opinion of course i personally love the 3 carbon tube look which is the whole reason i had wanted one.
