Because I'm an enormous Mega Man fan, MM4 being my favorite NES title and Dust Man my favorite robot master, I was completely blown away by this. The atmosphere is spine-chillingly real, and I like the colors you used and how they match those of the actual stage. Keep doing what you do, you're amazing at it.
Never realized how terrifying a place a junkyard would be for a robot. At least in cemeteries, the bodies are buried, not heaped on top of each other in grotesque piles.
Mega Man is even worse. Think about it. He kills someone, takes their powers- or their function. It's not unlike he's stealing their soul. Then, on a more basic level, he eats energy cores taken from fallen enemies to keep going. To any android, Mega Man must look like a Satan-figure that won't hesitate to do to you what he's done to dozens of others.
To us, it's just a junkyard level with a vacuum cleaner as a boss. To Mega Man and all other robots, it's a graveyard of unburied corpses, some still alive, ruled by a cannibalistic machine.
Broseph And the worst part is that he was forced to be so by Cossack because Wily forced him to do such an act if he wanted to see his daughter alive again
I can see Light watching Rock struggle here with tears in his eyes. "Dammit Albert! Is this what it's come to!? Sending CHILDREN to fight each other for your damn selfish ambitions?!"
“It’s what the people want Thomas! They love seeing your boy fight! And since you destroyed my greatest idea, I’ll destroy your greatest creation yet! I even have a counter to your ‘oh-so-secret’ robot that you’re building. X, was it not? Bah, whatever its name is, it’ll be destroyed with a *zero* percent chance of resurrection. Until next time, Thomas. MUHAHAHAHA!” - Albert Wily
@rando7963 think back to the 1980's, You're playing Mega Man 4 for the first time. All we're supposed at the time is "Wily has been defeated thrice, Now Dr. Cossack wants to make his inventions known" you don't know the big reveal yet. You're left to assume that it was all Dr. Cossack's doing.
2:16 At first, I thought the most chilling thing about this was the fact that Megaman was looking at a torn-off head. Then I looked to the left. These robots were made by Dr. Light, same as Rock. He is killing his *brothers.*
Something I noticed is that many of these robots still display a level of sentience. Notice the robot (sue me, I'm not the most familiar if it's name) that jumps at Megaman in the beginning. It appears to be reluctant in some way, either fearing death, or not wishing to attack. It's amazing the level of emotion captured in this.
You have to remember, Mega Man has the mindset of that of a 10 year old. That's basically if a 10 year old walked into a place with body parts scattered around. BLOOD EVERYWHERE
@@brolytriplethreat Mega Man’s very similar to the motivation of a solder, most of them do this to protect the ones they care about. Still, they are permanently scared by their actions.
Well not forget that in Thomas and friends he and almost every steam engine had to also see the same thing when taking scrap to the ironworks to be belittled by the ironworks twins. Hell some engines like Oliver and Stepney, Douglas and Donald, were rescued engines.
I really like the themes of this animation. It feels like Megaman is questioning his own reason as to why he's doing it, and then just telling himself "It's for them." It literally feels like Dust Man exist to, almost essentially TAUNT Megaman, to try and see how far he can take him before he cracks. On a side-note, your animation reminds me of the Brawl in the Family webcomic.
When I was a kid I thought of Dust Man's stage as being pretty creepy. For a robot a junkyard must be a truly hellish place. This video did such an amazing job of expressing that.
And his theme replicates the sound of metal being crushed which goes to say he is one of the most creepy robot masters after all his stage is made out of all those Mega Man has killed, but god damn does it fit so well to have one eerie robot master to keep you aware it's not always happy fun times
This is exactly how I imagined Dustman's stage was "meant" to feel, the melancholy the music and visuals tried to capture and communicate to the player.
Not just Dustman's stage, I feel Dustman's stage in connection with maybe Drillman's stage and Pharaohman's Stage. All of them dealing with the underground and the afterlife, perhaps.
Yeah, when you think about it, Dust Man has to pretty much clean corpses and guts of his kind and watch them slowly burn every day. If robots have a sanity, I doubt his is still okay, after all this everyday crap he goes through.
You know what I drew a character ounce she spends her time walking around the places robot are chucked looking for survivors so she can fix them up sadly she ends up euthanasing most the robots she finds so she pretty much got known as the reaper and she's likely very depressed most the time.
wow, this sure has that young Andrew Dickman vibe back when he did his megaman animations during the early 2000s. really nice! (I know, the wishdom of the algorithm brought up this video years ago only now)
Nice seeing you here, NCH! Yeah, this animation is great. Really makes a person stop and think what the blue bomber goes through and by extent what horrors we humans might put our creations through when we create them one day.
Love the representation of Megaman here. He’s just a kid, he does not want to do this, but someone has to. And Dustman is mad because of the death of his brothers. Almost as mad as Megaman is regretful.
The feeling I got was more akin to him gauging how MegaMan felt knowing that he inadvertently caused their deaths. The deaths of his friends. His family. And even though DustMan clearly saw that MegaMan was revolted and terrified by what he saw, that MegaMan never wanted this for them and probably never wanted to fight them, but he had no choice and their memories still haunt him. Despite that, DustMan was consumed by rage and vengeance, and there could only be one victor in this horrible war. Wally or Light. The robots were never truly evil, just victims of their Masters design. DustMan, being the crypt keeper of sorts for the countless robot lives lost could clearly see that. He was neither good nor evil at that moment, and I feel like he felt like none of his family were. But this was war, and it would not be settled until Wally won or Light won. Quietly, I believe DustMan wanted MegaMan to win, for Light to win and for peace to return to the robots and to the humans. For coexistence. But DustMan wasn't about to play traitor and he certainly wasn't going forgive MegaMan that easily for what he did to his family. As he took his battle stance and readied, a single phrase crossed his mind, and considering the hell that surrounded them, it felt fitting in a way. "Let there be Light."
So, what do you confront me as? How is it that you see yourself? You stand before me, that fierce look in your eyes, that shining blue canon pointed at me. Do you think yourself a hero? A shining knight come to correct the sins of the wicked? Is that that how you see yourself... killer? Brothers have been lost, lives too quickly extinguished. Is it okay to murder if their bones are metal and their skin is rubber? Who is it that you're fighting for? Who is it you need to protect? Do you have people you'll lose if you don't fight? Were my brothers lives worth theirs? Is it our fault? Are we simply sinners, and you an avenging angel? Were we brought into this world so flawed that our lives are forfeit before we even understand what we're here for? Do we have lives? Is code the same as a soul? I suppose it doesn't matter, I suppose it never did, because tonight we fight. Humanities saviour, is a king, and he rules the dead.
It's... awful... People don't often know this, but Mega Man was as much of a pacifist as X would later be known as. This is being forced to fight a war you didn't want, just so you can protect the people you care about... Then having to fight your way through a place that burns all of the corpses of the people you've defeated, even though you never wanted to hurt them... And seeing these poor people being incinerated just because you were forced to fight... It's horrible.
@@nidhinninan1071 Nope, they're two different Mega Men. They were both made by Dr Light though, meaning that Mega Man Classic, a.k.a. Rock Light, is Mega Man X's older brother.
on top of that the robot masters ( Robots that were once helpful to the community and friends with mega man ) were reprogrammed by doctor wily. Megaman basically had to kill his friends who were recondition by wily to be destructive against his will. this is like captain america having put put bucky / the winter soldier out of his misery because he was to far gone. thats pretty terrible.
I would have to say my favourite moment here is 1:38, the use of Red to signify violence/evil is fantastic. In less then 10 seconds you managed to show that Megaman is essentially committing murder, shows the overwhelming grief he's feeling, and shows how the feelings he has towards Doctor. Light and Roll will carry him forwards. In other words, he is entirely willing to stain his hands with the vitals of his fellow reboots for them, and you've shown that with nothing by colors, images, and a flourish of design. Absolutely Magnificent.
In addition, the way you've chosen to show thins entirely through images and colors emulates flawlessly the formula of Megaman in general, what with each items/stages/bosses purpose/dangers/weakness(es) needing to be intuited through gameplay alone.
Damn. That was seriously impressive. Dust Man basically wanted Mega Man to see what his "heroics" have ultimately led to for his fellow robots. I'm sure Astro Boy went through the same trauma when there were bots he couldn't spare.
Dust Man watched over the monitor as the murderer wandered deeper into this robot graveyard. Anger began to overwhelm him, but he forced himself calm. He didn't want this. He knows his father doesn't want this. But he must fight, so they can save Kalinka. It was easier before back when it was just fighting for Kalinka, but now two of his brothers had fallen. His "sister" was taken and Mega Man had killed Skull and Drill. Dust wanted to save Kalinka, and he wanted revenge for the deaths of his brothers. Killing Rock would net him both. Dust Man had only had a couple of conversations with Skull Man, the latter being brought online to fight, but all 7 of Cossack's previous robots made sure to interact with him, because he was their brother. And when this was over, he'd have the duty of watching over Kalinka. And they'd be a family. But Mega Man had taken his family. His brothers. Dust Man heard the door open, and in the darkness saw the blue bomber walk through. With the snap of a hand he brought on the lights, and enjoyed the look of horror and fear that crossed Rock's face. But he enjoyed getting a free shot in even more. 'Skull, Drill' Dust Man thought to himself, 'I will avenge you!' He closed his eyes for a moment and steeled himself. Opening his eyes, he readied himself. It was time to avenge his family.
When I first played MM4 when I was a kid in the 90's I always felt Dustman was like charon, the ferrier of the dead from greek mythology. This video captures what I felt as I played MM4 in my dark basement all those decades ago. MM4 is a dark, frightening game when you really think about it.
@@austinreed7343X2 had Morph Moth. With a similar stage except some of those scrapped robots are hanging from nooses, or are suddenly reanimated by insect robots. The boss battle has him forming a cocoon out of their old parts in his first phase. X6 had Metal Shark Player, doing a similar thing. Except also summoning “zombified” versions of Mavericks that X killed in the past. Such as Sting Chameleon, Magna Centipede, and Blast Hornet.
I like this. It shows the struggle & inner pain Mega Man goes through when he has to fight yet pushes through knowing that Wily has to be stopped. Please do more like this with other game heroes.
This animation makes you feel sympathy for Dustman if not the entire Cossack numbers. They were never intended to be fighting robots to combat Megaman, they all had thier own purposes to help people. But of course Wily kidnapped Kalinka and forced the good doctors hand to make his robots fight for her life, While Dustman lacks readable facial features the way he closes his eyes to mourn his fallen brothers before combating Rock is like he is saying. "This may be futile.. but brothers. I will avenge you." the fact he mourns Skullman too in spite of if you believe the implications he was made by Cossack because Wily forced him in order to boost his ego, shows that he is still cared for by the rest of the numbers. It's pretty sad honestly that this level of connection within the set of Robot Masters besides the DLN's 0-8 was never explored a bit more.
Technically speaking, every Cossack number barring skull man had uses before they were adjusted to fight megaman. For example, toad man was used to bring water to farms suffering droughts, and bright man was an electronic repair robot. Skull man was created specifically for combat because apparently wily has crippling ocd and can only be satisfied with nice even numbers. And one of the stories in the megaman megamix manga states that after mm4 skullman was sealed away as he had no use and we was too violent to keep out. And wily, noticing this releases him while skull man seeks revenge by almost killing all of the other Cossack numbers and kalinka.
2:50 I like how as the screen pans left to right over each of the deceased Robot Masters (Snake Man, Needle Man, Quick Man, Wood Man, and Metal Man) there is a brief flash of them alive.
Man, what a legit animation using a shockingly interesting, yet very fitting mix that was a bit liberal with Dust Man's theme, even after all these years. Really haunting and visualizes Mega Man's ever growing conflict with killing his own kind with the reality that if he doesn't, then his love ones fall. Added with the creepy and borderline, if not, abject morbid atmosphere in what could be a literal "robot hell" in Dust Man's junkyard really makes it all come full circle. I'm very impressed with this video, and is basically already in my favorites bin.
The weight of all the robot masters that megaman has slain. Comes rushing in like a tidal wave. This video made me cry. Megaman doesn't want this? Dust man doesn't want this? They're being forced to fight a war that isn't theirs? As Zero says best: what am I fighting for!?
Don't forget: Mega Man had to go through _many more Robot Masters_ after Dust Man... Guess the fighting is still not done after _Mega Man 11..._ or those countless fan-games... and level design contests...
And then more cities were built, the differences between Reploids and Humans became increasingly minuscule and after a point they became one species, the so called 'carbons'. As cartoonish as Megaman is, the main robotics timeline has a chillingly and probably (hopefully) accurate depiction of how the co-evolution of mankind and AI will proceed.
Procrastination Station "Gambling's wrong and so is cheating. So is forging phony IOU's, let's the lady luck decide, what type of torture's justified. I'm pit boss here on level two! Ooh!...Deep-fried robot!"
"You have forgotten whose side you are on haven't you brother. You are nothing more than a murder. All of our brothers had to forfeit their lives because they chose to fight you. Do you not feel any remorse, any regret, ant sympathy? You stand in front of me. Weapon raised at your own kind. Not even flinching. Battling as our brothers burn right in front of our eyes. Yet, this doesn't faze you. All because you fight for the humans. I am sadden by this brother. If you fail, what do think will happen next. You think light will forget your failure so easily? I think we both know the answer to that. So are you going to kill another of your kind just because the humans told you to? Or are you better than that? Do you even care about any of what I said, or is it all a waste of your time?" "Nothing you say will change my mind! I will fight for good and defeat wily!" "Then you can burn with the rest of us Mega Man!"
Very cool and creepy. MM4 was my favourite of the series, but Dust Man was never this sadistic before about reminding Mega of all the unfortunate reprogrammed robots he's had to terminate in the quest for 'everlasting peace'. Reminds me of a certain other creepy song in a junkyard that was far from (clunk! crush!) Worthless.
This video brought Mega man's tragic life into perspective for me. I mean like, He's forced to brutally murder His own kind to protect humanity Because apperantally EMP Bombs were not a thing in this universe. But I'm going off track. He is forced to brutally murder his own kind And do the humans care? Do they have at least an idea about how Mega man feels about all of it?
Not only that, but in Mega Man 1, 4, 6, 9, and & Bass, they're not even Dr Wily's robots. They've all been simply reprogrammed to destroy Mega Man. Imagine how he feels having to destroy those who were once kind to you and in 1 and 9, even possibly friends to Mega Man (due to them being Light's robots). It's honestly kind of heartbreaking for him. Mega Man doesn't deserve this.
No because robots at the time were incapable of feeling anything and I only had programmed, simulated, responses. Up until the reploid renaissance, and we saw how well that went. (The thousands of Maverick incidents)
"Look for yourself, hero. See for yourself what your actions have led you. Did it never occur to you the extent of your so called heroics? What it really meant? I have been watching robots go through here, with no life left or very little function left, forced to become scrap. Is this what you wanted? For humans truly prove that we are nothing but disposable? Come on then. Let us see who becomes part of the rubble."
It really reminds me of how Mega Man is more than a blaster, he is a fighter who doesn’t want to fight, but has to. In order to protect those he cares about, he has to face his fears and while being unable to completely get rid of them, he will still do what is right. Being there, having to kill others just like him must be difficult for him, this video showed that really well, great job!
Is it just me or does dustman have the most depressing stage in Megaman History (Edit: wow, this is my most liked comment ever, and people are still commenting!?)
the music, the theme. the background has faces vomitting, the rats are plagued by fleas, and the boss falls apart and vomits. The music is what sets it as depressing instead of comic
In some way Metal Shark Player(God I hate this weird name) has somewhat dark vibe on his stage. But, unlike Dust Man, whom even before this video I had seen as somewhat tragic character, MSP looks and acts menacingly and evil. And theme of the stage is built not around "unburied" robots whom Mega must've gotten rid of, but around dread of being pulverized to scrap by huge-ass metal compactor. Even the fact of MSP's ability to reanimate previously killed mavericks does not help much.
I never really got why so many people shit on DustMan (to the point that he's a frequent contender for worst Robot Master design in the series). His stage music's pretty awesome, and it's not like waste disposal couldn't be a theme for a MegaMan boss. Such a theme seems pretty workable (and indeed, it would be re-used multiple times in the franchise with characters like JunkMan and the X series' Morph Moth), and I could say that even before this video put it in such a creepy perspective.
o god while watching this i realised all the wily bots eyes in the furnace are just empty lifeles voids except for quickman his body is not just proped like that! he is still alive and aware in there and forced to suffer with the burning corpses of his brothers all around him while he slowly burns alive! dear lord thats morbid as all hell and horribly dark
“This isn’t hell, if that’s what you’re thinking. No, this is a graveyard. Every inch of us, scrapped to a pile, unlike the organic flesh of humans that is buried. Granted, we don’t rot, we just sit there and corrode, and unlike a dead man, we can be recycled. Which is what I was made for. A scrap of metal to recycle our bits and pieces. Unfortunately, I got a new assignment: to stop you. I wasn’t built for this. To lodge heaps of us onto another robot like me, to fight with our metal flesh. This isn’t the recycling I wanted to do. But if you’re the robot that is targeting the good doctor and in turn, ruining our real purposes, then I’m willing to push all of the good I’m doing, and do the rotten deed that you’re doing to us. Hopefully I win, and recycle you into something less violent. Let there be light, Mega Man, as this time, you’re not it.”
I never was a mega man fan, but this animation appeared out of nowhere and man... I didn't even know dustman existed and now he is by far my favorite mega man character, such a simple and goofy concept "a vaccum cleaner taking care of a junkyard" being turned into one of the most bizzare and grusome things possible, this animation is timeless and phenomenal
This actually isn’t as bad as it seems. Megman saves everyone’s data after he destroys them so dr.light can put it into a new body once everything is settled. He isn’t just absorbing their powers at the end of the stages. He’s absorbing everything. So really he’s only killing their shells.
Actually he's really cautious when fighting a robot master because he doesn't wanna broke the chips, and he doesn't kill the shells as seen in Mega Man Powered Up(when you defeat the robot masters only with the mega buster) also he doesn't absorb the abilities,he copies them
Yeah that’s how it was in the comics. Mega man brings back their chip and dr light repairs their bodies from any damage done and they get rid of dr wily’s influence so they go back to how they were before. Happened at the end of mega man 9 and mega man 11
The fact that Snake man, Needle man, Quick man, Wood man and Metal man are just burning alive scares me, not to mention Quick man is reaching out as if begging for help.
the video make me think that mega man's heroism lead him nothing but regrets sadness and dispair for seeing the robots that he fought looking like their in internal hell which made mega man regret himself by doing this
This animation is awesome, Mario! One of my favorite on TH-cam. It is a shame those ladybug-copter enemies don't die in here, though. I hate those things.
This must be one of the best MegaMan Animations on the internet, I always like to see It over an over again, I always see a detail that I didn't see before
I am so fucking happy that something directly based off this animation is getting popular. If unaware, duccly has made two FNF songs based off this and I couldn't be happier.
Let us Settle the Score It's Time to see what we Will Settle in Scorn Father So help me, to Never Falter, be Severed Again Under the Fire your Cause is so Just though you'll Scatter like Dust In wind of ashes yet I feel inside A Truth to find, So Let There Be Light
We need a MegaMan game like this. A dark and gritty representation of what MegaMan really has to go through. Something that shows the weight of what happens in the games. And DustMan most certainly needs to be included, as the true final boss, a secret boss, or a DLC final boss. It needs dialogue, too, and well-written dialogue at that. Written by somebody that worked on Dark Souls or Hollow Knight or something like that.
It should also bring up the expiration dates that the normal robots have to deal with.(Brought up in MM9) Megaman and roll are exempt from this law. It seems cruel to create being who can feel and think and just say they die at this time, even worse considering they probably know exactly when they will be "Retired."
tomboybarbieclique Except how did Wily convince them to join him? By pointing out that they were being left to die. Wily may be evil, but he's not necessarily the villain this time
spindash64 He usually either reprograms or builds RMs to do his bidding. The RMs you seem to be talking about were the ones in mm9 (they were gonna be scapped because they were past their expiration date). But even there he still took advantage of them. Megaman and Dr.Light actually gave them new purposes after Dr. Light rebuilt them.
By the seventh game he's become unhinged enough to break the First Law. He seems to have gotten better by the ninth though, being able to mock his nemesis for repeated failures instead of being about to murder him.
This is honestly one of my favorite animations on TH-cam. It captures exactly what Mega man was probably feeling going through that stage. I originally saw this when I was just getting into the Mega man series so this was my introduction to Dust man and he's now one of my favorite robot masters. also rip Woodman >:[
That was amazing! The animation was really spot on and you captured both the vibe of the music and the feel of dustman's stage as i would feel to a robot, especially to megaman who wants to appear strong even when he is unnerved by the whole situation. Really well done!
”you think i wanted this. To be forced to burn the remains of my brethren? This is the fate that they assigned me to. The humans force me to do this, they made me this way. From the start this was my fate. Is this what you’re fighting for? So many robots forced to burn. Go ahead destroy me you jest be assigning someone else to this toruture”
So I wondered what the logic behind Skull Man being beaten by Dust Man's weapon was? Was it, like, "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" and Dust Man's like, "Welp, that's my cue." or what? That's the most sense I can make out of it, except his weapon throws junk. For that matter, why is Freeze Man weak to Junk Man's weapon? Similar logic since Freeze Man's stage has lots of bones in the background?
I come back to watch this animation whenever I feel like I want to have a sense of justice and prosperity. Really an awesome job done on this. I've come to play Dust Man's stage a lot more just because of how well this is portrayed. Love how you centered the animation around the music too!
I really like this but I think an alternative title could’ve been “May the World Return to Dust” as a pun and since it shows the robot masters broken as if accounting for their sins.
This is honestly one of the best video game animations out there, it's so nice seeing something that isn't just a dumb parody or meme video, anyways awesome work! 🤖💖
this animation is interesting and cool but with a heavy atmosphere. Megaman realizing what he has done while confronting Dustman and thinks he's a murderer. and the Boss stage. 10/10
Late to the party but just wanted to say the music and atmosphere fit crazy well to the animation. Easily one my favorite mega man parody/music video kind of videos.
Mega Man, as a robot lacks the ability to go against his programming. As such, he will, and has, dived into an almost literal hell for the sake of justice. The horrors he’s witnessed, the murders he had to commit, Dr. Light wanted to spare him this fate. Though it was one he decided for himself, one can only guess if he regrets it. There is no other robot (in his time period) who could even come close to be more than just a robot.

It's closer to a killing field, human wise.

Yes, actually! It looks to almost still be alive!
To think we've come so far as a collective to be able to create the illusion of life in such a way, is astounding!

This is how Dust man was always meant to be. Not as a doofy sentient vacuum cleaner, but as a cold robot cannibal.

He and junk man being a actual zombie
How is Dust Man a cannibal?
@@zcatcher8955 he's taking *other robots,* scrapping them, and what i can only assume is using the scraps for his own body
@@j.hawkins8779 but robots don’t eat :v
I really like the themes of this animation. It feels like Megaman is questioning his own reason as to why he's doing it, and then just telling himself "It's for them." It literally feels like Dust Man exist to, almost essentially TAUNT Megaman, to try and see how far he can take him before he cracks.
On a side-note, your animation reminds me of the Brawl in the Family webcomic.
And all of this _on top_ of how Dr. Cossack is being forced to do this to protect his daughter from Wily.
When I was a kid I thought of Dust Man's stage as being pretty creepy. For a robot a junkyard must be a truly hellish place. This video did such an amazing job of expressing that.
Plus his theme is weird at the beginning cuz it sounds like it plays reverse
shane francis I
Seeing as the original robot master where friends with mega man (in the lore), yeah.
And his theme replicates the sound of metal being crushed which goes to say he is one of the most creepy robot masters after all his stage is made out of all those Mega Man has killed, but god damn does it fit so well to have one eerie robot master to keep you aware it's not always happy fun times
And dust man eats them, a cannibal
This is exactly how I imagined Dustman's stage was "meant" to feel, the melancholy the music and visuals tried to capture and communicate to the player.
Not just Dustman's stage, I feel Dustman's stage in connection with maybe Drillman's stage and Pharaohman's Stage. All of them dealing with the underground and the afterlife, perhaps.
Who knew that a robot who was built for cleaning trash and getting rid of it could be this terrifying.
for a ropot, it's pretty much like the clean up crew that is called after an omicide
Yeah, when you think about it, Dust Man has to pretty much clean corpses and guts of his kind and watch them slowly burn every day. If robots have a sanity, I doubt his is still okay, after all this everyday crap he goes through.
And by robot terms he would be what would to us be... a cannibal
really depends on what you consider trash, huh?
You know what I drew a character ounce she spends her time walking around the places robot are chucked looking for survivors so she can fix them up sadly she ends up euthanasing most the robots she finds so she pretty much got known as the reaper and she's likely very depressed most the time.

@ 3:01 "Try to remember your fight is with ME. Not them... They just get to watch.... Soon you will join them....."
Nice ☝
Wow this sentance was epic...

It's... It's horrible.

on top of that the robot masters ( Robots that were once helpful to the community and friends with mega man ) were reprogrammed by doctor wily.
Megaman basically had to kill his friends who were recondition by wily to be destructive against his will.
this is like captain america having put put bucky / the winter soldier out of his misery because he was to far gone.

My reboots! We must be grammar Nazis cuz Why The Hell Not!

Well at the moment MegaMan thinks it's Cossack that needs to be stopped, given the logo above the door, and the plot of MegaMan 4.
This animation makes you feel sympathy for Dustman if not the entire Cossack numbers. They were never intended to be fighting robots to combat Megaman, they all had thier own purposes to help people.
But of course Wily kidnapped Kalinka and forced the good doctors hand to make his robots fight for her life,
While Dustman lacks readable facial features the way he closes his eyes to mourn his fallen brothers before combating Rock is like he is saying.
How about Ring and Skully, they were supposed to be fighting robots. Especially Skully. Ring got to be a police robot after Megaman 4
And wily, noticing this releases him while skull man seeks revenge by almost killing all of the other Cossack numbers and kalinka.

todos destruidos por la misma mano verduga. Megaman.

Yet, this doesn't faze you. All because you fight for the humans. I am sadden by this brother. If you fail, what do think will happen next. You think light will forget your failure so easily? Very cool and creepy. MM4 was my favourite of the series, but Dust Man was never this sadistic before about reminding Mega of all the unfortunate reprogrammed robots he's had to terminate in the quest for 'everlasting peace'.
Reminds me of a certain other creepy song in a junkyard that was far from (clunk! crush!) Worthless.
I understood that reference

Is it just me or does dustman have the most depressing stage in Megaman History
(Edit: wow, this is my most liked comment ever, and people are still commenting!?)
If you count fan games though, I think Plague Man from Mega Man Rock Force feels waayyyy too dark
BlackAxem how is it dark
the music, the theme. the background has faces vomitting, the rats are plagued by fleas, and the boss falls apart and vomits.
Also scarest

So this is basically the robot version of running through a lot of dead bodies and organs, I never thought about that the first time I saw it.
And dust man is a robot cannibal
I can never look at Dustman the same way again.
This actually isn’t as bad as it seems. Megman saves everyone’s data after he destroys them so dr.light can put it into a new body once everything is settled. He isn’t just absorbing their powers at the end of the stages. He’s absorbing everything. So really he’s only killing their shells.
So he's just putting them through an endless cycle of rebirth, only to be killed again inevitably in the future.
But still he looking at a whole bunch of dead bodies would you be ok if you see the bodies of your dead brothers of course not!
if you've played megaman 9, you know full well this isn't true.
Happened at the end of mega man 9 and mega man 11
This is really making me see Dust Man, my favorite Robot Master, in a completely different way, that I couldn't have imagined
The fact that Snake man, Needle man, Quick man, Wood man and Metal man are just burning alive scares me, not to mention Quick man is reaching out as if begging for help.
the video make me think that mega man's heroism lead him nothing but regrets sadness and dispair for seeing the robots that he fought looking like their in internal hell which made mega man regret himself by doing this
Thus the saying: "You die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain"
"Fire leaves nothing but ashes and dust."
I wish the actual stage has the magnets and lava!😢
It's based on the weird floating blocks over the pit of spikes, I felt the magnets and lava made more sense (also were in Junkman's stage)

Well, there's _Super Adventure Rockman..._
Can't tell if megaman is a hero or a villain anymore
Daniel Anacta Well the robot masters were causing death and destruction throughout the world. Someone has to put them down.
Daniel Anacta yes. makes me feel like mega man is the villian now.
Honestly, I don't think even he does anymore.
tomboybarbieclique
Except how did Wily convince them to join him? By pointing out that they were being left to die. Wily may be evil, but he's not necessarily the villain this time
spindash64 He usually either reprograms or builds RMs to do his bidding. The RMs you seem to be talking about were the ones in mm9 (they were gonna be scapped because they were past their expiration date). But even there he still took advantage of them. Megaman and Dr.Light actually gave them new purposes after Dr. Light rebuilt them.
My goodness... Megaman had to endure this for 10 games... Im surprised he doesn't have some form of Robot PTSD.
By the seventh game he's become unhinged enough to break the First Law.
He seems to have gotten better by the ninth though, being able to mock his nemesis for repeated failures instead of being about to murder him.
I liked that twist at the end of Mega Man 7, I kind of wish they went with that dark turn a tiny bit more in future games
No. He had to endure this for 17 games (Mega Man Gameboy 1-5, Wily Tower, and Mega Man + Bass)
BlackAxem Yeah that was just an addition the translators added in order to make megaman "cooler"
Can't wait to see that in his 18th game
NO ONES POINTED OUT QUICKMANS STILL SENTIENT IN THERE
SOMEONE SAVE HIM
I haven't heard this remix in a long time, it's awesome, atmospheric, and ageless. Never saw it put a video though. This was epic!
I never thought of a junkyard as a robot graveyard.....
Really well done!
the little flash of "die" in the robots eyes is fantastic

Thats honestly how i felt seeing Dust Mans boss room the first time. I was like...this is kind of dark
This makes me realize how terrifying this actually is for Rock. Now I'm sad.
*Applause occurs* That was awesome!
Man i suck at spelling
So I wondered what the logic behind Skull Man being beaten by Dust Man's weapon was? Was it, like, "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" and Dust Man's like, "Welp, that's my cue." or what? That's the most sense I can make out of it, except his weapon throws junk. For that matter, why is Freeze Man weak to Junk Man's weapon? Similar logic since Freeze Man's stage has lots of bones in the background?

WHY BRING THIS UP NOW?
Clark Side
Also, Ghostbusters!
I like it, but the title is the name of the song used.
Oh alright
This is honestly one of the best video game animations out there, it's so nice seeing something that isn't just a dumb parody or meme video, anyways awesome work! 🤖💖
True that I realy love it when they got darker and sad.
This must be horrifying for mega man, he is pretty much surrounded by the robot equivalent of corpses
this animation is interesting and cool but with a heavy atmosphere.
Megaman realizing what he has done while confronting Dustman and thinks he's a murderer. and the Boss stage.
10/10
Oh no! It's the megaman rojo
Solamente juego a los megaman azules :)
I love the part mega man just gets shocked and watches in terror that his enemies are suffering, that puts in some good emotion
Late to the party but just wanted to say the music and atmosphere fit crazy well to the animation. Easily one my favorite mega man parody/music video kind of videos.
This isn't how I remember Megaman...
But this is how I want to remember it now.
Thank you.
The important thing is to never forget MegaMan
The important thing is to never forget MegaMan
This broke my heart.
It reminds me of the megas song, "I'm not the break man", and "make your choice."
Extremely sad, but really good animation.
There is no other robot (in his time period) who could even come close to be more than just a robot.
why is this in my recommend
WHEN I WATCHED IT 5 TIMES ALREADY!?!
But it never gets old.... even if 3 years past
Still an incredible work of grim art.
