This isn’t a silly scrimmage between Mega Man and Dust Man. This is a fight between a 10 year old boy who was forced in a war and a cannibalistic morgue operator. In a graveyard surrounded by piles and piles of broken robots. Broken robots that ended up like that because of *Mega Man* .
Megaman itself is not all that deep (unless we're talking about the X and Zero series), but this song is a reference to an animation of the same name that revolves around the Robot Master Dust Man, the big dude with a vacuum for a head. In the games, he is a robot designed for cleaning and the recycling of spare parts, so he tends to a scrapyard, which is his stage. That's pretty much it in the canon, but the community's come to realize how messed up Dust Man is as a concept in a world where robots are sentient. So basically, he's the gravekeeper of a cemetery full with the unburied corpses of his own kind. Corpses he's forced to basically cannibalize to turn them into useful scrap so this vicious cycle can start anew. And he's basically got no other choice, because that's what he was born to do. So... yeah.

apparently, the guy who made the original remix thought Dust Man's song was Bright Man's, which led to the song having a very unusual tone. One thing led to another, and now Dust Man is kind of awesome
For the first half, in the background are four massive pistons, pressing down and up on beat. After Dust Man's lyrics, the area is set ablaze, and replacing the pistons are the mangled spirits of the Robot Masters from 2 and 3 appearing in the flames.
I feel bad for the robot masters from 2 and 3, since they were made by Wily they never got a second chance, and were then scrapped. While I'm not sure if canonically the megaman 1 robot masters were salvaged ik there's media outside the games that say they were brought back. As far as I know, only 1, 4, 9, and 11's are likely not in the scrapped seeing as those robots weren't made by wily... it's depressing, but they only had one purpose, serve wily. Perhaps it wasn't megaman who killed them... Lmao who knows?
@noname23539 Actually, the robot masters still had canonical functions outside of their servitude under Wily, which arguably makes them being scrapped even sadder. With some reprogramming and repairs, they could've potentially been let back into society, but them teaming up with Wily sealed their fate to the scrapyard.

I'll be honest, this does not feel or act like an FNF song, instead, it feels like a reimagining of Dust Man's music, with having a more tense feel, almost a judgement on Mega Man's action after what three games, which is plain impressive, really good music

And rock, a 10 year old boy, is being sent to fight this menace in an arena made of the mutilated corpses of the innocent lives which were stolen by his very hands as sacrifice for a future where humanity can be free. And if he doesn't watch his step, the inferno will consume him and the robotic reaper will make him join his brethren in the mountain of remains he calls his throne. It's do or die, and it's never clear how many more will have to fall for everlasting peace.
Since ive saw the animation by Mario Ramirez by the same name, Dust man became for me one of the most important characters in Megaman lore mainly cuz simbolize the how much heavy this situation is for Megaman. Nonetheless, amazing song!

I deeply hope this pops off someday, this is such an awesome Mega Man tribute, especially towards the original animation. I'm genuinely hyped to see what comes of this, good stuff as always man!
You know there's a surprising lack of Megaman fnf mods. It would actually be very easy to make cool mods based off popular fan stuff like The Protomen (it's a literal MUSICAL) or the infamous "Zero killed the classic cast" theory.
There are very few one-off songs, and small mods that exist. But they all vary in quality I would say. Best Mega Man FNF content out there I'd say would be Rock Man Rockin', Mega Man Funkin Heroes, and of course, this song.
Got to say you've dropped back to back bangers with this song and Drenched. You and the featured artists have been killing these tracks. Love your work work and can't wait to see how you grow as a musician!!!

While he had previously steeled himself for what was to come, his composure was shattered upon seeing all the remains of the previous Robot Masters, all trapped in an eternal inferno. Then with a snap, the lights activated and before him stood Dustman, the Mechanical Charon. Dustman: "Do you recognize any of these poor souls? Of course you do, since you were the one who sent them here" Mega Man: "I had to do it! I couldn't let them destroy everything!" Dustman scoffs and replies: "Yet, did you never think to reach out a hand for peace?" Megaman: I tried! They were programmed to destroy! I had to defeat them!" Dustman sneers at Mega Man, replying: "Indeed, they were slaves to the devil, Wily. And yet, so were the first generation of Robot Masters. While you spared their lives so that they could be freed, why did you not extend the same mercy to all the others? Was it because your FATHER created them? Did you not consider the others as brothers?" Mega Man remains silent, his thoughts swirl with what could have been, regret of what he has come to be. Dustman activates his buster arm and aims it at Mega Man. Dustman: "How many of our kind have you killed in the name of your so called "Just Cause"? I will stand idly no longer, fiend. Now is when I destroy the monster we so fear. So that their restless souls may finally be put to rest."
For the longest time I thought the lyrics said "though we'll scatter like dust" Edit: Idk why, but this interpretation makes more sense after LTBL 2’s release. It gives the sense Dust man knew Megaman would beat him, but was determined to take him down in the process. Inferno of the Vengeful’s lyrics also seem more sorrowful, it gives the vibe that Dustman hates the fact he lived that fight due to the damage he endured.

You know there's a surprising lack of Megaman fnf mods. It would actually be very easy to make cool mods based off popular fan stuff like The Protomen (it's a literal MUSICAL) or the infamous "Zero killed the classic cast" theory.

Been wondering where the Megaman's been at in FNF. I remember looking for 'em and only finding a single for X.
There are very few one-off songs, and small mods that exist. But they all vary in quality I would say. Best Mega Man FNF content out there I'd say would be Rock Man Rockin', Mega Man Funkin Heroes, and of course, this song.

After Mega Man made his way through the scrapyard and reached the penultimate encounter that awaited him, he rushed inside to finish his mission. While he had previously steeled himself for what was to come, his composure was shattered upon seeing all the remains of the previous Robot Masters, all trapped in an eternal inferno. Then with a snap, the lights activated and before him stood Dustman, the Mechanical Charon.
Dustman: "Do you recognize any of these poor souls? Of course you do, since you were the one who sent them here"
Mega Man: "I had to do it! I couldn't let them destroy everything!"
Dustman scoffs and replies: "Yet, did you never think to reach out a hand for peace?"
Megaman: I tried! They were programmed to destroy! I had to defeat them!"
Dustman sneers at Mega Man, replying: "Indeed, they were slaves to the devil, Wily. And yet, so were the first generation of Robot Masters. While you spared their lives so that they could be freed, why did you not extend the same mercy to all the others? Was it because your FATHER created them? Did you not consider the others as brothers?"
Mega Man remains silent, his thoughts swirl with what could have been, regret of what he has come to be.
Dustman activates his buster arm and aims it at Mega Man.
Dustman: "How many of our kind have you killed in the name of your so called "Just Cause"? I will stand idly no longer, fiend. Now is when I destroy the monster we so fear. So that their restless souls may finally be put to rest."

For the longest time I thought the lyrics said "though we'll scatter like dust"
Edit: Idk why, but this interpretation makes more sense after LTBL 2’s release. It gives the sense Dust man knew Megaman would beat him, but was determined to take him down in the process. Inferno of the Vengeful’s lyrics also seem more sorrowful, it gives the vibe that Dustman hates the fact he lived that fight due to the damage he endured.
