I still got my 05 honda civic LX I barely got the oxy sensor upstream, man that was pricey, denso o2sensor ran me up 170 plus tax 190 but it runs smoother and burns less gas You make me love my em2 Keep up the update on the mods
Forgive me, but I have a few questions. Lol: How much shorter are the throws? Does it feel much better than stock, or is it just an incremental improvement? Does the OEM shift knob thread onto it? Will the original boot still work? Thank you for video by the way. It's comforting to not go into this blindly.
It's has 3 different leverage points u can adjust for the throw, I left it in the middle and there it feels just a little shorter than stock. And overall I think it feels better than the stock ones the shifting just feels "knotchier" lol but I also put in solid shifter cable bushings which help. Not sure about the shift boot, I never put mine on. I like how it looks bare
@@aidenlanway2160 Not sure, i sold the car maybe like 8 months ago and got my EP3 now. I dont see why it shouldnt be good still, pretty solid shifter when i installed it.
Wait, you don’t need to install the shifter base plate on the em2? In Every install I’ve seen (never on an em2, it’s always other cars) they always install the base plate underneath. I’m literally on Amazon as I’m writing this & was about to purchase the shifter along with a base plate

Not a problem at all, they are pretty easy to find on amazon or ebay. Just put in em2 rsx short shifter and you will see all the different options they have. The rsx and em2 both share the same shift box, they have more options than just this style that you might like.
I've gotten a lot of stuff from wish, temu, Ali for real cheap. Got my shifter from ebay 80$. Wish I could show my o2 ex custom you'd all laugh your asses off
what is that part you have there on the console part that's in place of a normal leather boot? im interested in getting that for my em2, lmk what part that is if you see this comment, thank you. just ordered the knock off shifter as well. my em2 has 250k and its 20 years old almost. the plastic stock shifter is all old and brittle, it hasnt failed completely but when i put it into gear i can hear like creeking noise coming from where the shifter pivots in the little socket.

@@Sl1deways just k swap. I paid 2800 for a d17 rebuild after I bought my em2 with a blown headgasket. I wish I would have just paid 5 for a k swap.
A future mod should be a dash cluster with a tach!

Worst part of these cars is the d17.. can't really mod it too much and get hp and it has headgasket issues.

No that base plate is for swapped cars like an EG hatch or something like that. If you have an em2 or rsx they bolt right up.

Ebay, mine was 80 plus 20 for 2 year warranty. Got 2 plastic replacement shifter bushings for 8 on Ali, at shifter not trans.

? not sure what ur talking about... all i have there is the shifter and removed the boot and left it off.
