    Wow, pretty cool!! Here in Brazil, the most legendary Honda engines are the K20 (192hp) and B16 (around 160hp) and I intend to put a K20 in my 04 es civic (sedan) thanks for the video!

      @@Adaptive_riding awesome man, I just did the EPS swap on my EM2, the electric power steering is a dream. very simple swap as well. I used the fuse from an Hybrid em2 and it fits right in the stock fuse box and everything in clean like stock, love it. im planning to do a k swap within the next year but im getting all the other minor stuff ready. im not planning on cutting into my hood ;)

      @@natejones8508 Yeah I was going to go electric power steering but my rack is new so I figured for the time being instead of spending all that money I would just go this route for now, plus I live in the Northeast so everything around me if I can even find a part out car is so rusty it’s not worth it which also played a factor into my decisions,and ahaha shots fired on the hood😂 To my defense I’m looking for a carbon fiber hood anyway this one has seen better days and it required modifications just to clear the intake manifold cover anyway so I just said screw it and cut it

    • @Adaptive_riding

      It’s pretty straightforward honestly, one thing that took a while to figure out for me was what header to use, my motor when I bought it didn’t come with a stock header and from all the measurements I got a big one piece header (plm,or any kswap header that exits under the car) will hit the subframe and require a bunch of cutting which I'm not willing to do to a frame lol so I got one of the really short ones And just made a down pipe that goes down to the cat back exhaust.Another good thing to know is any of the k20 harnesses will work, you don’t need an rsx type s or ep3 Like everybody makes it sound like you do, I used an rsx base harness and there was only two plugs left over that doesn’t work for the K24 which was easy enough to just tuck away and hide,and the harness itself was like a third of the price of a type S or ep3 harness so it’s a good money saver for sure and the battery leeds are just long enough to put the battery where I did which in my opinion is the cleanest option so it all worked out nice, another thing is when you’re rewiring the speed sensor so it has the proper voltage and plug just tap into the TPS power supply and signal supply (the green white wire remains untouched), all I did was back probe the TPS plug to find which one had the constant five volts and then back probed the other two wires to figure out which one had the signal 5 volts when you gave it gas,crank sensor plug will need to be swapped to a k24 plug to its slighty different. but yeah man it’s pretty straightforward as far as a swap goes if you ever have any questions feel free to come back to this and ask or just add me on Instagram (@alexw660r)I don’t mind helping out I know how it is trying to read forums where everybody instead of answering the question just talks trash lol

      @@Adaptive_riding I just drove my 2002 EM2 out of the garage with a K24 swap! The PLM swap header was hitting the sway bar for me. I ended up using a honda element sway bar with aftermarket end links and it clears everything.

      @@That_Shitbox_Civic hell yea man that’s awesome!     • @Adaptive_riding
      @Adaptive_riding  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I used the hybrid radiator, it’s a direct bolt in swap that puts the inlet and outlet in the spot they need to be in and allows you to reuse the factory cowell so it looks like it’s meant to be there

      If you have a mechanical background it’s not very hard especially if you stay organized and have a list of what to do, and buying everything before hand helps so you’re not waiting for parts and losing interest in the build which seems to be pretty common in the car world

      @@Adaptive_riding I redid my whole car just put a new motor in just don't really know everything I need I know ep3 or base rsx sub all that stuff is no issue just mainly wiring and linkages idk what I need

    • @Adaptive_riding
      @Adaptive_riding  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@smokescreen4268 you'll need an rsx manual transmission subframe, if you want to keep four lug you need an rsx base manual Trans half shaft and axles,I personally used an rsx base engine harness because it’s the cheapest option and there’s only one or two plugs that aren’t used that can easily be hidden,You’ll just have to rewire the speed sensor by tapping into signal power and constant power from the throttle position sensor, VTEC Academy has a whole video on how to do that. That’s the hardest part of the wiring you have to do, the conversion harness is easy mostly plug and play and then you just connect the positive leads from the engine harness to the fuse box in the engine bay and everything gets the power it needs. I used an accord transmission because they’re cheap and readily available so I used an accord shifter box and cables and just re-mounted it in the factory position so it looked factory etc. It’s not terribly hard I'm no wiring guy and I figured it out so I would like to think everybody else could too haha.
