I wanna get a 03 Civic Coupe for my first car. I got a few years, and I’m gonna work as much as I can during the summer and save up a ton. My dad doesn’t want me to have a “fast” car, but he said I can get on of these. Body kit, lowered suspension, spoiler, and tuner rims will look great.

I think that’s why power wiring I’m using. My buddy went to the junk yard and paid $6 for the wiring so it shouldn’t be too bad. I have done it a few times in the past.
Was just considering this after learning I have a 02 Civic coming next week. Its D17 has a possible head gasket woe, and since a repair and restore is nearly what your discussing for the cost of a K24, I can't imagine not just going for the greater cubes. Thanks.
PND= Base rsx, PPA= CRV, and you could have programmed the immobilizer at the dealership. And the accord harness wont be compatible with the ecu your going to use

Colby Maulden everyone makes it sound way more expensive than it is. I think it’s because they go for the high end parts and the best of the best but the way I look at it is like this. Once the K swap is done upgrades can be done slowly.
Please be aware that it is not cheap! You will run into issues like stuck bolts, etc... the best way to go about it is to buy a wrecked car and swap everything over, or take time gathering parts to get the deals. Don't rush!
Ep3 radiator works mint, I think the Rsx one is a bit too long or requires trimming. Think I ran a combination of Rsx and ep3 ac lines as well. Good luck bro! I also ran the Rsx cluster so it looks cool 😊
Nice! Everyone was saying to run the EP3 radiator you need slim fans and I didn’t wanna do slim fans unless it was 100% necessary because slim fans don’t bring in near as much CFM as the factory fan plus shroud
Texas Honda Channel this is true. eBay slim fans don’t compare to oem with shroud. I ended up doing mishimoto fan and shroud combo to help with cooling and ac. Slim fans weren’t powerful enough
Ep3 or RSx base model axles works , the em2 shift cables are short so you can’t use it , ac compresor only ep3 or rsx idk if hybrid compressor works ...
The em2 shifter cables do work depending on the transmission you are using. Most people who try to use the em2 shifter cables that complain about it being too short is using them on a different car but the stock em2 shifter and cables do work. Most prefer getting the si ones though
If your going to run a PND ecu cant you go Ktuner instead of kpro. I know on 05-06 rsx its cheaper than going kpro. Figured it would be also with that ecu your running. Build is looking good bro keep up the work
Its gonna move out like that with just a k24a8 , I put one on my buddies base and he can pull type ss in it , and the ecu stayed the same ran great , anyways I have a tsx vtec head here in texas if u want I could probly let it go for 200shipped for u

I’m doing as much research as I can but there is very little out there on the K24 swapping of a Em2 there is some info for the K20 but that setup is slightly different in small ways. But it should all go together like puzzle pieces from this point forward.

@@steviedee71 hey bro, so i went with the k24 because it produces more torque than the k20. you can install a k20 type s oil pump to the k24 and get the same high rev limit as k20(: overall it just makes more power, but i haven’t put the swap in yet bro!!! ive been taking apart the k24 so i can upgrade my cams and redo my timing… (preventative maintenance)
@@kriskan8019that not the case with the k motors. They are still being made and put in to new cars. There won’t be a shortage for a very long time. Now if you are going B, that’s a different story.

@@cyrusmakowski1644 Yes! Both DC5 and EP3 have identical subframe. I believe the Honda and Acura part # is the same. The DC5 has AT and MT trans option as well but the subframe is identical if you would like to source it from AT you can. All swap mounts are made to use these subframe on 7th gen civics (ES1, ES2, EM2). You’ll need the EP3 or DC5 rear mount bracket as well if your mount kit requires you to.

Can’t use them because mount manufacturers don’t want to make swap mounts for em2 subframe. Watch the VTEC Academy video “project bruised” Brian will say that. Everything i seen these guys are starting with manual cars so they just hookup their clutch hydraulics to the clutch master cylinder. But id think you can’t do that starting with an auto 7th gen?
You can't use subframe from a tsx, it's a different chassis. You can use civic si, rsx for fwd, or element and crv for awd. They all share the same chassis.
The crv and element subframe is a direct bolt-on to the em2 and puts the rear mount in the correct location to clear the axle for the awd transmission.
I’m going k20 I noticed you said to use a k24 engine side post mount bracket ? Currently trying to use the rsx bracket is this my issue as to why I can’t get the mount in?

I own an EM2 and have friends with RSX's and theyve all told me its not possible. something about the transmission and ECU being on the opposite side as the d- series not matching up but id do some more research!

@@thetreblerebel Seems to me like you're just ignorant(no insult intended) to automotive engineering and the work behind engine swaps. The reason why automatic swaps aren't ever done is because of the legwork you add to the job to keep it auto. If you were doing a b series swap itd be easy, but swapping to an entirely different family of engine you would need to do so much more to get the auto to function. With a manual swap it's as easy as a harness, kpro, some pedals, a shifter and ur nearly good to go. To remain auto you're talking a full ecu swap, probably going to need to swap the cluster and a lot of wiring behind the dash. Might need to mess with the fuse box and the ignition, so, so, so much more to the point where it shouldn't even be a thought process. With the amount of time and money you'd spend you may as well go buy a brand new 2021 civic.

You do not need aftermarket mounts for a kswap in em2 chassis . I've got few friends running k series on em2's mine is also running a2 , I don't get why you waste money on shitty aftermarket mounts .

Nothing different. Use the MT rsx, and 7th or 8th gen civic si half shaft. The MT cv axles for 7th gen si on both sides are fine. Those are guaranteed to work. Stay away from rsx type s cv axle because the outboard spine that goes into the hub has more spine.

My friend also located his battery to the back, off his civic. At the end we used the BMW E36 , battery cables and fittings ...

I’m running a k24 motor with a K20 transmission and stock 2003 es1 shift cables they don’t reach k24 displacement moves transmission farther

Well from what I gathered so far they can handle a lot of power on the factory bottom ends 400+hp and they have a great tq output and well designed

K series swap mount kit were designed around rsx/civic si subframe.

Hey there 👋 I'm currently doing kswap and m trying to keep my four lug set up but since I'm using the honda accord 5speed trans ppl are saying that the Cv axles for accord are 28 spline 36mm is that True? Thank you
Nothing different. Use the MT rsx, and 7th or 8th gen civic si half shaft. The MT cv axles for 7th gen si on both sides are fine. Those are guaranteed to work. Stay away from rsx type s cv axle because the outboard spine that goes into the hub has more spine.

Y8 is prone to head oil failure. Why would you want y8?
