I’ve got same model A3 8P but pre facelift 2005. Do you know if this clip/bracket thing is the same on mine? Can’t say I’ve noticed this bracket when I was looking for something wrong as I have a clunk noise when I go over bumps.

I would start by checking all suspensions components as if it’s only when going over bumps it points towards the suspension

Tell them there is a rattle come from the plastic guards on the rear wheels, mechanics most likely will test drive and figure it out themselves to be honest

@@carhelpforyou5650 i have an audi a3 8v with a knocking noise from the rear. Ive taken it to 2 garages and they have checked suspension etc and cant find the problem. I checked to see if it has the plastic guards in the video and if doesn't.. what could the issue be?

@@taijav256 without seeing and hearing the sound it’s hard but we would check everything in the rear including the wheel itself have a mechanic close to you test drive the car to hear for the noise or if you work on it yourself try and determine which side is the sound coming from and is it really the rear as it could be front once you confirm which side then check everything again every single thing is to be checked to minor cracks in springs to moving shocks or moving callipers

Hi, I would recommend buying a assortment of clips via eBay or Amazon as this issue has happened on a few cars and it’s very rare that same clips been used it depends if the clips will hold with a assortment you have the choice of using a thicker clip if one fails to sit snug

Hi yeah I would say it’s similar however with it being the front it could be arch liner rattling with wind or other parts would advise to take a look at everything whilst your there

@@carhelpforyou5650 thanks for the reply. I've had everything checked twice from different garages and they can't find anything wrong. Driving at speed is fine as I can only hear it around 20-30 mph over bumps.

@@jasonjay7650 have you checked your front bumper as under the bumper there is a black strip which can hit on the bottom of speed bumps when going over if it this then you could always raise the springs on the car to stop this, I worked in a Audi A3 2020 recently where front bumper strip kept hitting on speed bumps when I ordered new springs it was confirmed that these cars have lowered springs and normal ones which raise the car
