all things are pretty easy to diagnose when up on ramps but not so easy at side of road or on a driveway sometimes just better leaving it to these guys :)

wish i could find a good mechanic in my area that even wants to check in my car out. bad rattling come from the rear when going slow (approx., 30mpg or less). rattling almost goes completly away when up to speed. 3 shops have checked for basic movements. all they say is everything seems tight. it's like they don't want to even try. I'm stumped. But there's no way I'm going to the dealership and pay a bazillion dollars.

Iv got a Kia Sportage 1.7 diesel....iv had a knocking noise for about 3 year its never got any worse over the time but garages cant find any issues..iv had a new ball joint fitted and iv still got the same problem???

So my car was making noises while driving like something was loose. Went to the dealership and they told me the strut was loose but it wasn’t damaged and no need to replace it all they did was tighten it. Should I be worried ?

My 2009 Lincoln MKZ makes a clunking noise even over a small bump at low speed; however, it sounds smooth driving, stopping, and accelerating. It sounds like a hollow beer keg was in the trunk; I checked. I bounced on the rear of the car and the shocks seems great and no clunking. Shoved the rear side to side and no clunking. I then opened the trunk, stood inside and jumped up and down like an ape; my wife shook her head and shut the garage door. ANYWAY, I am fairly low IQ guy with respect to car mechanics so, in the rear, I have shock absorbers, struts, sway bar linkage, and bushings??? Is this correct? I related to what you were saying in the video so may I want to investigate the rear sway bar linkage/ "bushings"? if so, could only the bushings be bad and not the linkage? Also, if this is the issue, should both sides of the rear be completed even if only one side is bad?

We have an 2003 Ford Expedition 5.4L V8 Triton Engine that makes an intermittent metallic but rocky/stone sound, then a hard thump under the front seat area, while driving, and only when there is high winds. The thumping, I can feel under my left foot while sitting in the front passenger seat. It sounds and feels like someone is hitting the undercarriage with a pipe. It doesn't happen every time we drive. Just sometimes, and mostly during windy days. We do lose power going over mountains, and the Expedition stalls when put in reverse, only when it is a cold start, first thing in the morning. I have researched everywhere for answers. None found. We love this Expedition and hope the problem is a minor problem. Limited budget and all. Lol.

Hello! In order to properly diagnose the issue with this test, does this need to be done with the car on a lift/jack stands? In other words, with no stress on the suspension or can it be done with the wheels on/car on the floor/suspension under stress?
My friend had new struts she hit a pothole it busted the tire and bent the rim. It's making a clunky noise everything looks good. Could the strut be damaged? It's not leaking

Hey! I hear some thumping noise in the back of my 2016 Mini cooper s(24K miles) when going slow over uneven roads, bumps... I pulled rear wheels from the car and tried to look at suspension parts. Tried to pull on the stabilizer bar and the links, the spring, the shock/struts but don't see anything that is loose or ripped. All bushings are clean and fresh as the car isn't old. Maybe the nut in the rear strut's upper mount is loose OR maybe you can direct me to what else I should check for?
My Forester has Avery similar sound but when I do what you do it moves but almost not at all. Could it be anything else? I can feel the metal banging vibration through my accelerator pedal and only occurs when going over any minor bump in the road. Pleeeease help
When I start my car there's a terrible growling metal rotating sound and I hear it and all the gears and I hear it again when I turn the engine off I don't think it's the starter what could it be? It's really awful sounding.

Cars make so many sounds for different reasons yet mechanics talk about the sound and what it could be. If this was a math equation it would be impossible to solve because there’s not enough information. Mechanics everywhere! Start your videos with an EXAMPLE so people can have something to go on. All this talk and idk if it’s the same sound my car makes

Rav4 2001 I replace all those parts and caliper and still do a click noise when brake hard sounds like under the car but haven't fiund the problem
