    14 years ago my son died in my arms. Without the comfort of going to the Temple and feeling the Spirit there I would have given up long ago. No mater what negative is said about the church and especially the house of the Lord you are so wrong! I know my Redeemer lives!! I love the temples!

    I cycle frequently by this magnificent holy temple of God. I thrilled the day when I got to watch one of the spires be placed atop the temple. There is a definite spirit even now as I ride by. It has been a faith promoting experience to me to see the building of this temple from the first spade to just yesterday, Dec 12 when me and a fellow Church Service missionary of the BYU-Pathway Worldwide program cycled by this beautiful temple. We recounted to each other different facets of the construction we have witnessed. What a marvelous day that was.

    My son was born 47yrs ago and passed 5 months later. If it wasn't for the temple and helping my husband clean it, I wouldn't have known through the spirit that I'd only have him for a few months. Now 18 yrs this month my husband has been with his son. The temple is everything to me. It is my home from this world. But with health issues, my home is my temple. I have a large tapestry of the Idaho-Falls temple with Jesus Christ in the upper right hand side with his arms welcoming home. One of my favorite songs is "I Know That My Redeemer Lives. All temples are beautiful and the Lord's home.

    Perfect title! As a shy kid, I found comfort in the Temple. In 2010 I had an impression a Temple would be built in Lindon. I prayed and hoped for this beacon of light since. When the Temple was announced, I was so excited. The miracle I see is that God is a personal God. He knows me and he loves me. I visit the construction site every week and even though I screw up plenty, I can look at those spires and know he still loves me and to keep trying.

      Certainly not a perfect title. People see the word "Miracle" and are misled into calling up this video to see what miraculous thing happened. Did an angel appear at the dedication? Did a cat jump over a tall fence? Nope. In the Church, we engage in too much spin and deception. We can do better.

    I recently had a new insight while reading Isaiah 49 (technically 1 Nephi 21...but you get the point). Verse 20 says "The children whom thou [Israel] shalt have, after thou hast lost the first [to apostasy], shall again in thine ears say: The place is too strait [crowded] for me; give place to me that I may dwell."
    Obviously Isaiah is talking to his modern audience in the sense that Israel will be restored to their homeland and it will be extremely crowded, but with the benefit of the knowledge of dual prophecy, we can also gather that Isaiah was speaking about the latter days as well. The House of Israel is becoming so crowded that the covenant children of the Lord are clamoring for more space -- and we're getting it in the form of temples and meetinghouses all across the world. What a blessing to see Isaiah's prophecy come to life right before our eyes!

    LDS Temples are unique from those of other faiths, for within them we perform sacred ordinances under restored priesthood authority for the instruction and redemption of not just the living, but also the dead. Within them, the power of God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are manifested plainly, offering maximum salvation for all willing and worthy to accept it. These buildings are more than beautiful religious edifices. They are the House of God on Earth.

      In temples, you get a new name. Interesting that the same name is given to all the men of that day and the women the same name of all who go in that day. Sacred?
      Also, how telling that if the work is so important, why is it that only those who tithe can enter? How could you do the work for the not alive people if they didn't pat tithing? Very odd. Only conclusion is the church finds money more important than saving ordinances

LDS Church said long ago they have no qualms about paying whatever bribe money necessary in any country to get what they want. They won't pay ransom for missionaries, of course, I mean they gotta have standards. But definitely hundreds of thousands of $$ in bribes is no problemo. Just ask Harry Reid, thru a seance, of course, now that he's dead - let's us thank the Lord. He had been the Church's go-to bag man to get bribes paid to foreign countries for...whatever they wanted.

      I see my earlier comment about LDS Church paying bribes to city officials got removed. They are indeed a powerful group. The corporate Church can and does pay anyone any amount to get what they want. They have publicly processed to paying bribes for whatever they want. This is the one truth that will shed light on the false teachings of the faith. To require tithing for the living to bless the non-living, concludes that the church is more worried about the money if tithing than the salvation of the non-living.
    If you take your last breath, you get saved by the members that pay tithing. But if you don't tithe while alive, you have to wait to take your last breath to get your saving ordinaces done. So the church loves their money more than what the Lord taught. Don't fall for it.

    • @boltrooktwo
      @boltrooktwo หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The tithing is used to turn the hearts of people to God and also for families to serve and love each other. Nothing about them is about the love of money.

      @jake8882 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @boltrooktwo oh no sir. Don't try to use that. That still helps prove my point. More about money less about the non living. Clearly a fear tactic used by the church. It's decision not mine.

    • @threegreendown414
      @threegreendown414 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Apparently you have a problem with money. Paying tithing isn't the only requirement to hold a temple recommend. All of the things that are required are to demonstrate a person's understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and paying tithing is only part of that. If someone who is wanting a temple recommend is paying tithing but doesn't believe in Jesus Christ, or doesn't sustain the Prophet and Apostles, they most likely won't get one. In other words, in simplest terms, if a person isn't worthy enough to enter the temple, they won't get a recommend. Paying tithing is only a small factor in the bigger picture.
      Paying tithing is a simple way to demonstrate our faith in the Lord's commandments. It is also the way the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps feed the poor, and help victims of tragic events like hurricanes and tornadoes. I pay tithing and I have never felt like I was being deceived by the Church. There have also been times when I have received help from the Church to pay my mortgage payment or to get groceries when I had no money. In Matthew 6:24, Jesus taught, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Which of the two do you serve?

      @threegreendown414 well put but you still don't understand the principle. If you think money is going to save you...which you just said you do. Then you are also saying Christ's atonement has restrictions and it's tied to money. No where in Amy form of scripture did God or Jesus say my atonement is sufficient only if you pay tithing.

      @threegreendown414 you in fact are less knowledgeable and only knowledgeable in the lds faith which is a cult. You proved to me with your words that the lds faith is a cult.

      @@chuckmathues9276 Yep, Romans 10-11 confirm that all that make covenants unto the Lord are adopted into the House of Israel, even the Gentiles.
      And something cool is that a part the Abrahamic covenant is that Abraham will have more descendants then there are sands on the beach or stars in the sky. Sounds like everyone is remnant of the seed of Abraham. For even the Jew and Gentile are the same.
      There is no boasting or ignorance here.
