Benjamin Benson's Extraordinary Angelic Encounter | 1795
In 1795, a 22-year-old young man named Benjamin Benson from New York State anxiously contemplated and prayed about how the Native Americans came to America. His question was answered in a spectacular way.
Benjamin's personal written account is depicted in this short 5-minute documentary torch, with the help of AI voices and characters. AI elements are in their infant rough stages. Even with the design of depictions and style elements that are now fairly random, these artistic tools do help to imagine one man's account in 1795.
It's remarkable what filmmakers can do these days as one-person producers. I'm sure the coming years will magnify these remarkable storytelling tools that were unimagined only a few years ago.
A short history of Benjamin Benson and exceptional experience in his life:

I cycle frequently by this magnificent holy temple of God. I thrilled the day when I got to watch one of the spires be placed atop the temple. There is a definite spirit even now as I ride by. It has been a faith promoting experience to me to see the building of this temple from the first spade to just yesterday, Dec 12 when me and a fellow Church Service missionary of the BYU-Pathway Worldwide program cycled by this beautiful temple. We recounted to each other different facets of the construction we have witnessed. What a marvelous day that was.

Honest quest; what is the miracle? I am a member of the church, I am not criticizing, but I don't see a miracle. The church is growing, the church is flush with cash, Lindon is in the heart of Utah, I don't see anything that would qualify as a miracle. I the new temple in Saratoga Springs, literally 15 miles away a miracle? Is the new temple being built in Traverse Mountain a miracle? Is it neat Lindon gets a temple? Yes. Will it bless the lives of those people who now only have a 5 minute drive rather than a 15 minute drive to attend a temple? Sure. Is it a miracle? Only by the loosest, most watered down interpretation of the word.

The Scriptures warn us of things about our Church leaders we can't see, Preface… concerning the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb...(D&C 112) Behold, vengeance cometh speedily upon the inhabitants of the earth... And upon my house shall it begin... First among those among you...who have professed to know my name and have not known me, and have blasphemed against me in the midst of my house...(D&C 112:24-26) O my people, they who lead thee cause thee to error...(2 Nephi 13:12) Let no man deceive you by any means...that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition... Who opposeth God...sitteth in the temple of God...(2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) ...until he be taken out of the way. (2 Thessalonians 2:7) While that man, who was called of God and appointed...shall fall by the shaft of death, like as a tree that is smitten by the vivid shaft of lightning. (D&C 85:8) Never in the Bible or any Mormon Scripture can you read of a prophet, apostle or prophetess saying these words, I promise. For to do so would make themselves instead of God. Promises are only made by God Himself never by man throughout all the Sciptures except, Nehemiah 5:23 and Joshua 9:21, where man made a promise for a negative outcome. So, we see from Scripture mans promises result in a bad outcome. Beware of the promises made to you by man saying, I promise, in behalf of the God of Jacob, the Scriptures warn us. And marrying the dead in temples? Where does God say to marry the dead? Look around. We're fighting over public bathrooms and who can play sports, etc., etc. God never told us to marry the dead only to baptize for the dead. And God warns us to do according to that which is written marrying the dead is not written. (D&C 84:57) ...the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation...(2 Timothy 3:15) If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15)

My son was born 47yrs ago and passed 5 months later. If it wasn't for the temple and helping my husband clean it, I wouldn't have known through the spirit that I'd only have him for a few months. Now 18 yrs this month my husband has been with his son. The temple is everything to me. It is my home from this world. But with health issues, my home is my temple. I have a large tapestry of the Idaho-Falls temple with Jesus Christ in the upper right hand side with his arms welcoming home. One of my favorite songs is "I Know That My Redeemer Lives. All temples are beautiful and the Lord's home.

It genuinely makes me sad to see the term "miracle" used in this manner. The argument honestly seems to be that the Church has more resources to build temples than people in former times would have thought. The wealth itself is the miracle here spoken of. This is the miracle of our age.

I recently had a new insight while reading Isaiah 49 (technically 1 Nephi 21...but you get the point). Verse 20 says "The children whom thou [Israel] shalt have, after thou hast lost the first [to apostasy], shall again in thine ears say: The place is too strait [crowded] for me; give place to me that I may dwell." Obviously Isaiah is talking to his modern audience in the sense that Israel will be restored to their homeland and it will be extremely crowded, but with the benefit of the knowledge of dual prophecy, we can also gather that Isaiah was speaking about the latter days as well. The House of Israel is becoming so crowded that the covenant children of the Lord are clamoring for more space -- and we're getting it in the form of temples and meetinghouses all across the world. What a blessing to see Isaiah's prophecy come to life right before our eyes!

Perfect title! As a shy kid, I found comfort in the Temple. In 2010 I had an impression a Temple would be built in Lindon. I prayed and hoped for this beacon of light since. When the Temple was announced, I was so excited. The miracle I see is that God is a personal God. He knows me and he loves me. I visit the construction site every week and even though I screw up plenty, I can look at those spires and know he still loves me and to keep trying.

Certainly not a perfect title. People see the word "Miracle" and are misled into calling up this video to see what miraculous thing happened. Did an angel appear at the dedication? Did a cat jump over a tall fence? Nope. In the Church, we engage in too much spin and deception. We can do better.
