It's easy to fall into the trap of following our forefathers have done so & where the majority of Western countries are Christian countries none the less I pray that you all realise that Jesus (peace be upon him) was The God, Allahs' second last Prophet & he did not create the universe nor I'd He God. It's been very well documented by Moslem scholars & past on verbatim for over 1300 years right from the days when Jesus (PBUH) walked the earth not like early Christians who waited what, three hundred years before they wrote about him. I was born a non Christian. I have experienced alot of sadness within just 21 years of my life. I lost my father, other loved one's. People I know treated like I'm a stranger. I always thought I lost everything, I have no one in my life to share my sadness. But everytime I was about to end my life, I'll suddenly remember I have Jesus by my side and I'll look up in the sky and give him a smile and tear up. And I'm planning to be baptized❤
I’m sorry for what you have gone through. But know that Heavenly Father knows you and loves you. He does watch over us and our Savior Jesus Christ loves us so much that he died for us. He knows our pain and suffering. If we turn to him he will give us peace and comfort during our trials. Know that you are not forgotten. My life is “not the life I ordered.” Two failed marriages, three children with disabilities and, at the height of my career, diagnosed with a life threatening neurological condition that has left me in a wheelchair. I’ve lost my wife and a son. But I had been in the USAF as Security Forces. My career had made me see horrible deaths from plane accidents, car accidents, and a friend’s suicide. So when my wife and son passed away five years apart, my mind was drawn to the families of those I had watched die, or was a first responder. This caused me to have strength because I knew, it was just my turn. I was no one special that death could avoid me and my family.
I’ve been struggling with ocd lately, and with that, anxiety, anger, feeling broken and ashamed. Every day is difficult, but every time I pray, when it feels unbearable, when I don’t know how to calm it, when I think each night that I don’t know how to keep this up day after day, I feel a little bit of peace. I’m reminded that I can keep going, with God’s help. I’m reminded that it’s hard but I’m not alone. I’m reminded that I’ve been through things before that I couldn’t see a way out of, and He showed me the way that I couldn’t have seen without Him. Those reminders help me hold onto my faith that He’ll help me through this, that He IS helping me through this.

That continuing to do the Lord's will won't immediately fix our difficulties, but it can help us see the light at the end of the tunnel. Ever since coming home early from my mission, I've felt the deepest guilt every day. I feel like I've failed, and like God must not love me anymore. His analogy of being broken is brilliant: It takes broken clouds to nourish the earth, broken earth to grow grain, broken grain to make bread, broken bread to feed people. Broken bread is the symbol of the broken body of Jesus Christ, through faith in which we can be healed -- but only IF we choose to have a broken heart and contrite spirit. WE MUST BE BROKEN TO BE WHOLE. This lies at the heart of healing.
I want to say a week after my husband die 2 missionary knock on my door they were wonderful gave me a moment of peace but in grief I did grab on to the missionary hand .2 young man who’s heart was full of the lords love thank u for your missionaries when they knock again I will hold on and learn of Jesus love

Our family was scammed. We lost a lot. We were in debt even before that happened. In times I am broken, the Holy Spirit has encouraged and strengthened me through President Holland’s words many times. I’m so thankful for him being a humble and worthy servant who has lead me to Christ in my most difficult moments.
I have things in my life that I have broken. I now am paying for a less than faithfull past. but i am currently leaing upon my savior, with the power of the Attonenment i can repent of things needed. and then I can start healing myself. the other things that are broken will need to heal through this same pleadings upon our Savior. Relationships are not easy to repair and are not at all effiecient when dealing with people. they take time even though we are ready to help others healing can be slow, progress may even seem stopped. but our Savior is patient with us. and when we call upon him to put things back together for us. he wants our patience in return. but have hope that your good example and righteous efforts will afford much, to them that are broken. Jesus Christ can heal all wounds and restore us to our perfect ordinations. have hope.

Today was one of those days where I almost let anger be the main answer to frustration, but God helped remind me that if I let my anger bubble over, it would be a miserable day. Not every single thing has gone the way I wanted, but I have felt lighter, been able to laugh more, and at peace.

Wow; this just popped up on my feed and I needed this so much right now. I had just had a conversation with my wife about how I can mend the rift between my adult daughter and I. I have been reaching out to her and she won’t talk to me right now. My wife said that I was doing all I could do so I needed to get on my knees and ask for the Lord to heal my broken heart and to soften hers. She finished by assuring me that it would work out. Then I opened TH-cam and this is the first video I saw.
I wish that restoration could come to my broken family of origin in this life. I'm grateful that there is a next life for that too, however. Broken me will be healed and that is enough for me, for now. 💕

This is so so true! I can testify that my own life is surely a witness to this very concept of being broken, but new life coming from the broken. As long as our eyes and heart are fixed on the Savior, the broken will not only be healed, but it will be sanctified. I am so thankful for the trials and hurt and Christ touch in this man's life to mold him to who he is today and his unique ability to wield words and emotion with such precision. I love and sustain this Apostle of the Lord.
We often don't think of sickness as a blessing, or ailments, old age, pain, financial challenges, relationship hardships or the myriad of thorns, thistles and noxious weeds we face in life. Perhaps the worst thing the Lord could do for us is give us everything we think we want, to deprive us of the chance to experience such heart wrenching challenges. the chance to learn empathy, compassion and love, the chance to choose a broken heart and a contrite spirit. God knows our suffering and agony and his arms are stretched out to lift us through such suffering but rarely is that suffering immediately removed. Much of the challenges in life can become a blessing if we allow the Lord to be our Redeemer, Savior and Exemplar. If we Yoke ourselves with Him then all things become possible and our life isn’t just bearable but joyous to behold

I love Elder Holland. It was his October 2013 talk that kept me going during one if the darkest moments of my life. I've always wanted to thank him for that message.
I really believe there was something unique Elder Holland was to reveal to us from the other side and… he briefly touches on it here but he has more expounded on it other times how if we remain worthy we will have all broken, lost and separated things restored to us one day. It’s a restoration doctrine associated with Christ’s power of redemption. I think we’ll learn more from Elder Holland soon and thanks be to God to reveal more to us through modern apostles and prophets!

Elder Holland understands.
We often don't think of sickness as a blessing, or ailments, old age, pain, financial challenges, relationship hardships or the myriad of thorns, thistles and noxious weeds we face in life. Perhaps the worst thing the Lord could do for us is give us everything we think we want, to deprive us of the chance to experience such heart wrenching challenges. the chance to learn empathy, compassion and love, the chance to choose a broken heart and a contrite spirit. God knows our suffering and agony and his arms are stretched out to lift us through such suffering but rarely is that suffering immediately removed. Much of the challenges in life can become a blessing if we allow the Lord to be our Redeemer, Savior and Exemplar. If we Yoke ourselves with Him then all things become possible and our life isn’t just bearable but joyous to behold
Beautifully said, thank you. We wish we could avoid such calamities, but they are the key to refine us. Maybe we could have new eyes to see the blessings in the soul's growth.
I love Elder Holland. It was his October 2013 talk that kept me going during one if the darkest moments of my life. I've always wanted to thank him for that message.

I really believe there was something unique Elder Holland was to reveal to us from the other side and… he briefly touches on it here but he has more expounded on it other times how if we remain worthy we will have all broken, lost and separated things restored to us one day. It’s a restoration doctrine associated with Christ’s power of redemption. I think we’ll learn more from Elder Holland soon and thanks be to God to reveal more to us through modern apostles and prophets!
