Great video, my son has the same MTB going on 3 years and I started upgrading a few things but haven't swapped out the crank, fork and drivetrain. Out of commission due to a torn rotator cuff so once back up and running I will definitely will upgrading his bike. Stay blessed and safe.
A BBS HD with 50 amps can get you flying up a hill quite fast, which adds to the excitement of mountain biking. going downhill is fun going up hill can be just as fun as well.
Sweet video. I actually just got this bike. I don't need a 1x. I normally just ride some city routes cuz its my best mode of transportation currently. But i plan on some heavier riding. Have some nice trails by me. Just not fully sure what id need to get all this done. What would be best for me to go with. Would the 1x8 be all id need? Or 1x11 or 1x12 be a big enough difference?
Thanks!, If you not climbing in the woods I would just stick with what you have. The bikes come with good enough drivetrains as is. Microshift makes some great shifters for when you’re ready.

@@kidbaseball4 hey there! I have an 8speed, 11-34T Cassette from the stock 8x3 drive train and a freewheel -would that work with the 10 speed Advent X?

Why do u have a gripper tire in the rear and a super fast rolling tire in the front? If you switch the tires u will notice a lot more better handling and easier to pedal as well
When you use the puller be sure to open the puller up as much as you can before inserting it this way it goes in deep. If it still won’t work you can put washers inside the crank arm hole. Hope this helps.
i bought the 2021 gt aggressor expert 29er swaped the 3x out for a bafang 750w motor fitted a treat all 8 gears work great as well good job with the 1x10 and bars how you rate the microshift components
Sorry if this was already asked, but what do these upgrades achieve for the riding experience? I'm not very experienced with any of this and just purchased the same exact bike.
It’s eliminating the shifting in the front/left side. Could make the bike slightly lighter. I personally don’t worry about weight. It’s preference and budget. Try’s friends and see if you like it. Hope this helps.
A cheap front derailleur doesn't always like to shift to easier chainrings so eliminating that mechanism might help an otherwise tough climb. The stock Acera rear derailleur doesn't always like to shift either (on my Aggressor Pro, it's the 3rd and 4th gears). Even then, it took a lot of adjustment to get the others right.
Okok awesome upgrades and shit but a few mistakes 1. The rims are not good for 2,8 wide tires like cmon they are going to go skrrrt and fold on the smallest turn you cant have such wide tires on like 20mm wide rims you atleast need 30mm rims the max tire widht you could go for is about 2,4 onthose rims if they are the usual budget xc 20mm wide rims mm 1 into each direction like they are 19-21mm
