- Roger Hodgson co-founded Supertramp in 1969 and was the driving force behind what fans call the 14 golden years of the band. Roger wrote, composed, sang, and arranged the enduring rock standards that made Supertramp a worldwide phenomenon with album sales in excess of 60 million. In addition to The Logical Song, Roger also gave us the timeless classics such as Give a Little Bit, Dreamer, Breakfast in America, Take the Long Way Home, It's Raining Again, Fool's Overture, School, and many more.
Roger is currently on tour. That early Saturday morning in the spring of 79, a bright sun is rising beyond the hills, dazzling 13 yr old me. My dad is driving me to school, he turned on the the radio for the road, that song is playing.

I first started listening to supertramp when I was twelve watching my much older brothers kids (12 years between us) and I really resonated particularly with what Roger Hodgson was saying and I think because of his words became a spiritual person who just wants to see peace and love between my fellow man, we should be kinder to each other.
Roger Hodgson. Unique voice, unique writing skills and unique performer. One of the underrated, great artist's, both then and now.

I am immensely appreciative that these iconic songs are so lovingly performed so many years later. I know that the bands realise how these songs form part of the soundtrack of so many peoples lives, and to ‘reinvent’ them beyond a certain degree would be almost cruel.

I was 20 and in the Air Force stationed in England, when this came out. Put ALOT of quarters in the jukebox in the NCO Club after work, to hear this song!
As a child I found this song haunting, it hit a certain note and spoke to me. This has always been my favorite song from Roger.
