Awesome review. I've watched a lot of them because I have just ordered this car and will take possession around February (long lead times because of chip shortages) so I'm getting acquainted with it a bit. I truly mean it when I say that your review is one of the best ones, if not the best one. It's like hearing someone talk about it who has this car and uses it as a daily driver, in stead of an automotive journalist who drove it for a day and then reviews it. Really down-to-earth and in-depth review. Nice work! Subscribed. I can't wait, I'm going to have a blast with this machine
Thank you, Blue - really glad you liked it! 👍 We aim to cover the pertinent info and combine it with a real world view of what it’s like to drive. You will totally have a blast in yours when you get it, it’s a great machine…. *A
@@PlanetautoUK That definitely shows in your videos. Keep it up, your hard work will pay off without a doubt, you both obviously have a knack for this. Really cool to see two people review cars together too, it's a really original concept and it makes for very dynamic videos the way you alternate who's explaining the different aspects of a car And yes, I'm sure I will. Compared to my current M135i it has a bit less power but it does have the instant torque of the Xtraboost mode so I'm sure the dynamics, while probably very different, will be really fun nonetheless. BMW really knows how to make a true driver's car
Brilliant review. Beautifully narrated and very impressive presentation skills from both of you You should just review other random stuff but keep the style. Whatever it is. Lol well done.
Great video thanks both. Mine is coming in October. Would you advise winter tyres and also does the vCk end swing out much bring a rear wheel drive? It'll be my first.
Hi, apologies - this ended up in the spam cupboard, PrN links get through but not questions :| anyway it depends on the country in the UK, no and no - you can get it sideways with some serious driving but with what i did, no. It's remarkably hard to unsettle in even spirited driving, and i did try a few times, hope this helps Kris *B
@@PlanetautoUK I've got the msport coming in October. I don't have any add on packages so I don't think it'll be a patch on yours. Was hoping for park assist and reverse assist but think thatd be an add on.
Oh very nice, ours has gone back now, be nice to try one of the new M car’s next, ultimately we want an i8. Enjoy your new car, and keep us posted- yes those are likely in a convenience pack or similar.
Great video as you’ve given loads of info. I currently have a 2014 f30 which I’ve owned since it was a year old and it has a usb in the armrest for my ancient 5th gen iPod nano. Is there a way to connect it to the g20’s audio system as I don’t bother with Spotify now?
They’re USB-C in all new BMW cars, you can get get an adaptor to USB, and there’s no reason it wouldn’t work, can you see the playlist etc on the screen currently?
Absolutely love your video, am seriously considering this car, i do have a question, does the drive remain bumpy/stiff when you take it out of sport mode or it is still somewhat stiffer than other comfort cars? is it ideal for long drives? say 5 hour drives, especially for passengers. Appreciate your work guys!!
@@PlanetautoUK I did, but it was in a rush I couldn’t get a proper feel to each of its driving modes. Was planning to go this coming weekend. A few people told me that the drive is a little stiff compared to the 5 series which is far more comfortable. Will try them out. Cheers guys!
I really, really liked this review! The perspectives of driver/passenger was particularily enlightening, and useful, as it made my wife tag along for a test drive. we'll probably order one next week. Oh, and you forgot to mention the fold down bootcompartment. Gives you a fair amount of extra space for larger items. Nifty.
D’oh! Thanks for the reminder, Ragnar! So glad you both liked the review - enjoy the car. 👍 When will you take delivery? Ben & I are going to buy an i8 soon - it’s our favourite BMW...
@@PlanetautoUK They have the one we want in country already (another customer backed out). So if I order, Ill be able to take delivery last week of this month. The i8 makes me drool. But... to pricey for me. Congratulations!
Maybe like a long term practicality review, transporting load, long distance travel, along those lines. I'm planning to get this car as a future daily driver for a family context. I'm sold with how great the car is, just concerned about the long term practicality as we often travel across states for holidays or travel to the airport with luggages. Hope it isn't too much.
I like your interior review but first of all I decided now to spec mine with sunroof because of how airy and bright the interior looks on your video . Still not sure whether to go for the blue colour you have here or for the alpine white . I guess since this colour is specific to m sport there will be presumably less of those than whites but white does look pretty neat too.
White always suits especially with black styling and a coloured accents - mind you we do love the blue, you can never go wrong with a sunroof, I’d rather that then air con 😊 *B
That's very impressive guys. I am in the process of buying one. I didn't like the sport because of the stiff drive. Anyway nice video guys and wishing you the very best with your car. Safe drive
Don’t buy this rubbish my 330e has done 38000 miles nearly 4 years old and timing chain has just snapped NO good will from bmw absolutely disgusting from arguably the major vehicle manufacturer in the world BMW stands for Be More Wary
Planetauto tried it! Emailed bmw UK told me to do one emailed bmw Germany no reply now I’ve opened a case with the vehicle Ombusman to rebuild my engine £4850 plus nearly £500 in towing and rip off bmw inspection fee of £125 so disappointing it’s a great car besides that
We had same issue with a 118D out of warranty cost £5600 however I have done 110.000 miles in my 320D with absolutely no issues , changed this to 2016 M3 absolutely no warranty claims, my X5 has done 2 years and 34000 miles again..no complaints..I have just taken delivery of the above car and done 6000 miles thus far, 90MPG, interior is marked improvement on previous model, it’s very easy and torque is good, it’s certainly no “Viper” lol however ...

It is the M-Sport PLUS... not the M-Sport... there is over a £2000 difference between the two.
Pocket change when buying premium German, awesome motor
