- HI ALL, BACK AGAIN, THIS TIME WITH THE CUSTOM RESTORATION OF A DINKY TOYS BIG BEDFORD WHICH WAS KINDLY DONATED TO MY CHANNEL BY MR. DAVID YEATES, THIS ONE I HAVE PAINTED TO RESEMBLE AS NEAR AS I CAN A LORRY WHICH WAS USED BY THE HAULAGE FIRM I WORKED FOR IN THE EARLY TO MID 80'S, ONE THAT I DROVE ON AND OFF, WHICH WAS GIVEN THE NAME " THE PIG" BY MY WORK COLLEGUES AS NO ONE LIKED DRIVING IT, THAT IS EXCEPT ME LOL, BUT THEN I WAS ALWAYS INTO THE OLDER TRUCKS! I DO HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS ONE ENOUGH TO COME BACK AGAIN FOR MY NEXT VIDEO IN ABOUT 10 DAYS, UNTIL THEN, TAKE CARE, ALL THE BEST,
CRAPAUD NICK. - บันเทิง

Thank you Paul and you’re welcome, glad you enjoyed it😊👍 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Hey another great restoration Nick, that's a great idea for making hangers for the back lights.👍 Thanks for filming when you drilled out the rivet posts, I've often had problems getting the holes deep enough and keeping the drill in the middle of the post. After watching this video I realise I've probably been drilling too fast. Looking forward to your next video, take care and all the best to you both. Peter.
Oh just a quick question, did you spray the light green front grille or brush paint it?
Thank you Peter, yes sometimes it takes ages to drill out the posts, sometimes the drill bit can heat up very quickly causing problems, I often just do a bit in one post then go to the other when there is more than one and just keep doing that till the hole is deep enough. I did spray the front grille, I did the light green after the silver on the chassis, then masked it off and sprayed the black after that, I just had to touch in a couple of bits right on the edge where I didn’t quite get the masking tape 100% It didn’t come out as well as I had hoped as the casting wasn’t great, looks good to the naked eye but the close up shots show the imperfections up. All the best to you both, take care, Nick🐸🐸
Wonderful job Nick, what a gorgeous little truck
Thanks for your video
Thank you Austin and thank you for watching 👍😊🐸🐸
What an awesome restoration. Love it
Thank you😊👍🐸🐸
Nice work....from one old trucker to another
Thank you👍😊🐸🐸🚛🚛🚛
Great job. Filing rivets down is a pain when you have to do it. Some good innovations here with the lights.
Thank you Andy👍😊🐸🐸
Hey Nick, lovely custom restoration, great job, and what classic truck. Thanks for another excellent video. 👍
Thank you Mark, glad you like it and thank you for watching 😊👍🐸🐸
Great rendition of the Bedford Nick. Nice tip on using the fuse. Cheers Michael
Thank you Michael 👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
I always use a spot of white glue on the back of the additional lights: It just stops them getting loose, and dries clear, so you get a little bit more security.
The S Type is a lovely motor, as long as you don't have to drive it very far!
Terrific result, Nick: completely convincing, and I love the use of household bits and bobs to make stuff you need! The colours may not be 'correct' but it looks the part!
Thank you Fraser, the only thing I wish I’d done was to put jeweled headlights in, looking at it now, I think it would have suited the model quite well.👍😊🐸🐸
Great color combo A++
Thank you👍😊🐸🐸
Great video on the Bedford S the colour look very nice. A nice touch using the blades out of the fuse im surprised you didn't make a load for it Nick 👍take care.
Thank you Ralph, I did think about a load but I was rushing to get the video done in time so I decided not to, a load of miniature rubble bricks would have looked quite good in it! All the best, Nick🐸🐸
hi nick another beautifull restoration
Thank you John😊👍🐸🐸
Hello Nick l purchased a rechargeable dremel last year for about £16 from Amazon it’s very good for filing in awkward pliaces you should get one great restoration hope you and your family are keeping well regards Glyn
Thank you Glyn, yes I do have a dremel but I do prefer to file the tops of the rivet posts by hand incase I go too far lol. All good here thanks, I hope you and your Family are well too, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
This turned out great nick ,it's a nice casting to work with all the best Martin
Cheers Martin, yes it’s a pretty straightforward one, I wish I had put some jeweled headlights in now but never mind😊👍All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Love what you done looks brilliant 👏👏👏👍you should have a small parcel soon which i posted last week
All the best

Wonder what it would look like with a TK cab?It could't be a Dinky cab, as that looks too big.A Corgi TK might just fit.Idea maybe?
I have done a skip lorry and a dropside body with a crane behind the cab using a couple of old dinky TK dust carts in the colours of the firm, but I hadn’t done an S type which is the reason for this one.
