Nice little truck! Perhaps a solution to white backgrounds is a sheet of white roundels or white decal sheet? I bought a sheet and roundels (for Code3 stuff) from Gemini Models (also available in other colours) and find it quite handy for panels that need something over them. Neat bumper fix - very discreet. Great job, Nick - terrific rescue!
Thank you Fraser, as it happens I have got a couple of sheets of white roundels but didn’t think to use them but at the end of the day the decals weren’t expensive so it was easier to buy them rather than messing about, the only thing is I was afraid to lacquer them after my fire chief Jaguar video when they went all wrinkly but handling the model after doing the still shots etc I have scuffed the ones on the side of the body a bit so I might have to revisit it when I have a bit more time🤦🏻♂🤔 All the best, Nick🐸🐸

Thanks Ralph, yes I have been looking for a cement bag load, to fit, but I think I’ll have to make something up, I didn’t have time whilst doing this one, I’m not too bothered though as I don’t think Dinky put a load on it and my aim was to make it like Dinky did it👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸

For the doordecall you can paint a white circle and use this as background for your decal.
Good idea, didn’t think of that, it was probably easier just buying the decals, trouble is I should have lacquered over them as I scuffed the ones on the sides of the bed a little bit when handling the model after putting them on 🤦🏻♂☹🤔

Cheers Martin, no it was great, makes it all more interesting and that is just the kind of condition I like to find them in to restore so I was very pleased to have it, so many thanks again👍😊 One question, do you lacquer over the decals from black square? I didn’t this time and I have ended up scuffing the two on the side of the body just by handling it for the still shots🤦🏻♂I do have another set of decals so I may have to revisit the model in the future! Yes I do clear coat if there is a lot of decals like on that one
