    I love seeing you create this trays out of wood, foam board and cardboard dividers. That is so cool Ric. My husband just built a kitchen pantry so I appreciate this and I love seeing this, it is mesmerizing. Great job! If I dear to use the saw, I might make a few trays myself. Nothing like making your own stuff.

      Hi Laura! That is so nice to hear! Yes same here i learned to appreciate wood working after seeing other people build things from a pule of wood, that changed me as a kid growing up and always felt drawn to build things myself! I recently went to a carpentry shop and was like a little kid watching them build things! Thanks for the feedback and i hope you try to build your own trays too! The cardboard box with dividers might come very handy if you want to avoid the saw and wood cutting 😅

    Ric love these ideas and love you hand tools more!!! I was the only girl in my high school shop class for 4 yrs,here in the states!!! I am currently working up a plan to store completed puzzles without taking them apart!! Your channel is one of the few I follow. I dislike those that call themselves experts when it’s clear they are just like the rest of us!!

      Hello Donna! That is such a great feedback, thank you! Working with tools and woodcarvings are some of my passions! Glad to know im not alone!! I remember during the pandemic spending days here, doing cool things. I Really love this little corner. I actually have another project coming up soon and it will definitely help with your idea of storing conpleted puzzles! Stay tuned.

    My sorting trays are some plastic food packaging from the recycling bin! A good wash, and they are perfect for me.

    What kind of awesome hand saw is that? It looks Japanese style...🤗

      Hello Allison! It is indeed a Japanese saw 😁 i got at a local shop for dirt ship and love it!! But any saw is fine for this project really.

    Thanks for the brilliant idea. Personally, I'd opt out from glueing the compartments just to allow some flexibility.

      @RicPuzzles  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi JayyKL you are very welcome! The compartments are not glued in btw, they are just locked together with an incisions or cuts, easy to add new ones as you wish 😁

    Ric you are the man... these are GREAT!!! and yes these are easy for anyone to make..easy to follow directions........and thanks for the pros and cons of felt.... I love your channel for these reasons.... I have another project for you.... how about making a puzzle box holder ... yes I am aware of the plastic ones to buy. or one cut from cardboard... I am sure you can design one easy for us to reproduce... that would be easy to make and durable.... I would enjoy a video of just helpful hints you have gathered from our comments....and include things you have made with links to the "how to video" ask us to submit them on your community page and then combine them for a video... for example I use a hair dryer to remove the tape from new and thrifted boxes, I use a kitchen colander to shake out puzzle dust... etc etc.... and I see comments on this video of things people to help them puzzle..... no other channel does this.... I would love this type of video...... maybe others will too....

      hi Kathy! wow that is just a great comment here, thank you so much for the ideas!!! I am indeed capable of doing the projects you suggested, I have recently created my own puzzle board with drawers, and I will post that project soon, but your ideas omg these really great thank you very very much! and yeah I know what you mean about being creative with your puzzles, just like you, i also use a hair dryer and wet cloths to remove tape, omg, I was literally thinking about making a video the other day and though, nah these guys will think im underestimating their intelligence haha but honestly I also do what you said, and that would indeed be a great video! I will see what I can come up with !

      @@RicPuzzles I found on Etsy Puzzle Box holder.... my husband does have a saw that can make that cut so yes today he made several out of scrap 2 x4's I cannot add a picture here but I will message you with a pic on Discord...... but surely for people who do not have that option, you can come up with other options too..... thanks for liking my ideas......

    Hey Ricster! (Can I call you that sometimes? Do tell me if it's a pet pieve 😄) I just created a Short on my new crochet channel where I talk about how I was looking at my little box of yarn and though how it would be nice to make more like them and pain them. It made me think back to this video 😁
    I have lots of old strong cardboard pieces and coflute signs which I cut a little bigger than A4 size. My plan is to try to turn them onto individual holders and then glue the sides together. Hope it works! 🤞
    For now I am just making Shorts but if I make a long-form video in it I am happy to throw your name in there to say you did something similar with for your jigsaw puzzles. Even if not directly inspired by you.
    I may still use some of your technique. And I can say that if people want to make something similar with more compartments, that I recommend they check out your vid 😉✌❤

    This is genuinely a great idea for a video! I wish I had this idea before 😆
    However, it's a lovely video. I even had to stop halfway to comment on it!
    Currently, I don't use any sorting tray. I either use the table or the puzzle boxes (even with 4000 piece-puzzles), the closet thing to a tray would be a piece of paper or cardboard and it's rare 😅

    • @RicPuzzles
      @RicPuzzles  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Mariana! Thats awesome thank you for letting me know your opinion. Haha i had the idea first right!? 😂 but its totally ok if you wish to create your own version of it and post it online! Just mention my name in your video - i’d be honoured to start a trend 🫠 i haven’t met any other puzzler that keeps their large count pieces truly organised or under control, mostly on piles around the puzzles i guess!? I guess whatever works best for us right?! 😁😁 thank you so much for your feedback! Always great to hear from you.
