I live in Southern California so the amount of water running off and landing on the concrete is pretty minimal. They do make a version with a larger cap that would cover the whole top though for rainier areas

But this type doesn't protect the top of the chimney from weather and rain will drip off the cap onto the concrete

This cap won't work for chimneys with more than one flue
