I have really enjoyed the IronMaster Super Bench Pro after my first 30-day test. With some excellent surprise pros, it has really taken my home fitness equipment to the next level, without being too far out of the budget for most people. Lower the bench before removing the pull up attachment and rest the pull up attachment on your shoulder to minimize it from flipping up. The same is true when inserting the pull up attachment
I used to do this, and actually had the same recommendation in my first video, but since then, I actually think it is easier (for me) to put it in while in the upright position. Depending on your ceiling height, you may not be able to do this, also if you are not tall/strong enough it may be challenging, but for me, I have found getting the bar into position far easier with the assistance of gravity. Feel free to put it in a horizontal position though, get it in place, and then raise up into the vertical position.
love fitness equipment from Ironmaster.. I've had a lot of Fitness equipment, but Ironmaster is the best. it would be nice if they made adjustable dumbbells like Nüobell
I agree. They have "adjustable dumbbells" but nothing beats the ease of use with the handle twist versions. Both Core Fitness and Nuobells are my go-to items just for that reason. The Core dumbbells have lasted over 5 years for me so that has been an excellent buy. I do like that the IronMaster can go higher, but all the plates and changing them are where I am not a fan.
Thank you for your reviews. Ive done a lot of research and your videos were the most helpful. Just dropped quite a lot of money (for me at least) on the super bench v2 with the leg extension attachment and the nuobells. Hopefully i can get the dip bar and pull up bar but they’re out of stock. Your home set up is definitely what Id like to mimic.
Nice! Let me know what you think of V2 and if you see anything different from this video with it. Also, let me know if you like the leg extension and if they work with Nuobells or not (not sure if the hole in the plates fits the extensions).
@@romellocarter3152 dumbbells won’t work with the leg extension and Nuobells’ plates don’t have 1” holes. but Ironmaster recently released “Dumbbell to Barbell Adapters” that allow you to use dumbbells on plate loaded pegs and barbell sleeves, so that could be an option to get your Nuobells to work with the attachment. Costs $179 though and I’d recommend getting collars for leg curls too. The attachment itself rocks though. Changed up my leg days when I got it.
I have the following: Core Fitness Dumbbells - up to 50lbs: th-cam.com/video/bDceG5jPJYM/w-d-xo.html Nuobell Adjustable Dumbbells - up to 80lbs: th-cam.com/video/shRhMIyP23g/w-d-xo.html Note, the Hyperbell products don't fit the Nuobell. See links for reviews I made on each.
Thank you for such a thorough review, I've been looking into this. Do you think the bench would not be an ideal choice for taller people like me with a height of 6'3"? Also, thanks for all you do- love the channel. Peace from SATX!
I think you would be around the cutoff for it. Anything 6'5" or higher I wouldn't get this, but it is hard to find anything else that fits that height.
My friend has one of these, he thought the pull up bar is too unstable so has asked me to tighten it somehow. However he said the same thing about the width and asked if I could cut the ends off since he doesn't use those. Of course I could but I told him how he could do it himself.
I think so, but vertically. Depending on how much you weigh, doing something like incline rows or face pulls might tip it over. It is a decent weight, but again, I would only use straps in a vertical pulling manner.
No idea. I personally just had the 1st version which I think is all I really need (and can save some money). I wouldn't be surprised if they made more in the future though.
We are the same height. A standard 8ft ceiling is high enough to get it all in place with a little extra room (at least for version 1, I have not tried version 2)
In another video didn't you say you didn't like the fixed width of the dip bar? By the way what is the width of it and heights? I see dip stands like the Leberts you also have or V shaped dip bars as critical for some people. Parallel bars are great when the right size but a V shape accommodates many more people and the individual stands of course too... It's a problem at fitness parks too... V bars are unusual.
Yeah V bars won't be very common, but you can set it up with the Lebert Equalizers I have right now. The website has the listing as "Easy-to-grip handles have a 1.5" diameter and measure 23" wide."
Let’s say you set the incline to 60 degrees to do incline dumbbell curls. Will your right hand/dumbbell hit the curve of the seat like you did on shrugs?
Thank You Again For The Amazing Review Of A Dope Home Bench! Is there A Model capable of going into A decline angle? I am seeking A bench with the same capabilities able to go from Decline-Incline
can you please do a review on “X3 bar system”? is a resistant band i keep getting ads on. it comes with a metallic bar people say is pretty good and the bands last years. thanks!
I think your talking about that overpriced thing I keep saying... Bands are bands at the end of the day but I wonder if those ppl that say they last yrs have they really been using them for yrs ?
@@repentandfollowjesuschrist6170 No idea, eventually they will break down like all things do. I have had some snap on me in the past right out of the box and that is never fun. I see your wheels are on the opposite side compared to their site. Did you have to buy the optional wheels or is the bolt spacing the same on either end. I have a wall behind my weight rack so I would like the wheels to be on the pillar side like yours so I can move it in to position. Also how's the weight? My wife and I use an Amazon basics bench and it's super easy to move around. I wouldn't want her to struggle with the bench when I'm not around. Great review thank you.

As of the last few years, yes. Occasionally I get invited by someone to a gym (last time was 3 years ago) and I just workout in a hotel for a day, but that's it. I just workout from home otherwise.
The price is too much for me, but its also one of the few benches that has pullup bars. Gonna wait till blackfriedays to buy a bench, and hopefully this bench goes on a sale
I ended up selling it for my move (just big and costly to take with me) but the bench is great otherwise! I may look to get it again in the future if I go back to dumbbells/bodyweight workouts.
Hey! Great great review. I actually found a way to raise the bench a bit pretty easily. I bought some stair treads from Home Depot (brand is Technoflex) for like 25 bucks which are just thick pieces of rubber to put on stairs to prevent slipping. They are practically exactly like stall mats but come much smaller and are easier to handle. I used them to create blocks for exercises where I want better grip for leg drive but I started putting them underneath the feet of the bench to raise it and it’s been great for incline exercises where I sit on the seat attachment that’s a bit too short normally, so my knees are no longer at an acute angle like you said. I think they’d be helpful for you too outside because they’d provide a better surface than carpet to do workouts on. For actually creating the blocks, they come in packs of 3 long pieces so I just cut each in half for 6 total pieces to make 2 blocks that are 1.75 inches thick. Not necessary but glued them together and drilled screws through them.

Thank you for this thorough review, so close to pulling the trigger on this. Quick question, did it come with the little seat attachment?
Yes, seat is included.

Do they legs in the front bother you? Since you can't tuck your feet?
No, as I never tuck my feet, they are flat on the floor.

Thanks for the review. I am 6’6 and am wondering if the bench + pull-up bar would be high enough for me to do pull-ups comfortably?
As long as the ceiling allows it, it should be tall enough. You still may need to bend your knees slightly, but it should be tall enough for pull-ups.
My friend has one of these, he thought the pull up bar is too unstable so has asked me to tighten it somehow. However he said the same thing about the width and asked if I could cut the ends off since he doesn't use those. Of course I could but I told him how he could do it himself.

How high does your ceiling need to be to use the chin up bar attachment comfortably? Is 96 inches too low? I'm 5' 11" tall. Thanks

This one has another attachment you can put on that allows it. It will cost more for it, but if you want this bench, they have it :)
Power Block has a similar bench with similar dip and pull-up accessories.
I wonder which is better?

Eh, I like them separate. It would make it really bulky otherwise.
Basing most of your complaints around how it and the attachments fit into your small closet are not cons.
For me, they are. I add in personal cons.
where’s the seat ??!
It comes with a detachable one. This way it doesnt get in your way if you just want a flat surface to lay on.

Chop off the handles on the pull-up bar bro
You mean the ends where it bends? Yeah don't need to go that wide and it would take up less space.
