  • The Ironmaster Super Bench Pro was tested with the dip and pull-up bar attachments. I highly recommend them if you want this bench, otherwise, there are cheaper/better options.

    Awesome review! I got this bench and loved it at first. Ended up using it less when I got a beefier bench but as I started getting more attachments and upgrades for it, I’m really starting to enjoy it again. It’s plenty good for most people and you can’t do much better than this, especially for the price, even though it’s gone up a bit. I’m glad more reviews of this are popping up. It deserves a lot more attention and fits a great niche price and versatility wise.

    Great review Derek, I love that bench. I'm sure you'll get use to moving it around, it was like that for me when I bought my Rep Fitness AB-4001 bench, now I move it around without bumping into anything. lol. For the attachments issue, what I did was buy a metal peg board by "Wall Control" on Amazon and I used the slant pegboard u shape hooks to store my cable attachments, it's strong enough to hold a barbell if I wanted to use it for that purpose. Keep those great vids coming!👍

    I had recommended this bench when you were looking for pull up bars, I'm glad its working out for you! Additional thing to mention is you can adjust the bench from both sides, you just switch from pressing down vs. pressing up. Its definitely a heavier bench but I think its still reasonably easy to move. I think the heavier weight is actually a benefit since it stabilizes the bench when using the attachments.
    Overall, its a more expensive bench but it feels a bit more premium and also is very versatile, which makes it worth the price imo.

    I'm 6'3" and this bench is plenty long for me. I really love the versatility, particularly doing nordic curls and incline crunches with the crunch attachment. They just came out with V2 which adds a 3rd high position for the seat, laser cut numbers for bench angle, and handle on the front, and the hybrid 10"/12" pad.

    Subbed because this channel is awesome for those who don't have a lot of room but still need to get gainz. I saw below that rings shouldn't be an issue with this setup. Would you be able to attach resistance bands to the pull-up bar for banded pull-ups without worrying about the band getting caught on something and tearing?

    I bought this a few years ago and was disappointed in it because the main reason I bought it it's for the hyperextension attachment.
    But before I bought the attachment I looked at the weight limit and it was like 300 pound weight limit on their website for the hyperextension attachment,
    Which is ridiculous, I'm not like an enormous bodybuilder or anything but I weigh 215 lb and sometimes I'll put as much as 150 even 175 lb on my easy curl bar to do hyperextensions and I'll get like 10-15 reps even with 170 lb on it.
    It will work your but out better than any exercise you've ever seen including your lower back and hamstrings.
    But for some strange reason they built this bench capable of holding 1100 lb on the flat bench but only 300 for the hyperextensions...
    What the heck did they not realize people use also weights when doing hyperextensions?
    Other then that it's pretty good I like using it for sit-ups and the leg extension leg curls work excellent except I have to take my shoes off to do the leg extensions.
    It's heavy though I also have a fitness gear 600 pro utility bench that's lighter and much easier to use around that I use for 90% of the time.
    Super bench just sits around until I need to do sit-ups or leg extensions or leg curls.
    To bad they don't increase the weight limit for the hyperextension attachment.

      Personally I would not get it without the attachments as it is pretty costly. A solid bench for sure, but I think you could get other benches cheaper of similar quality for cheaper. My main drive to get it was for the pull-up attachment.

    Hey there, I see that you also have reviewed the Speediance. I’m considering buying the IronMaster Pro V2 as a replacement for my Speediance incline bench. But I have some concerns. I think the width will work fine with the IronMaster, but I’m concerned about the foot length. It looks like it will extend beyond the length of the Speediance platform, which would probably be ok, but it seems I will need to find some sort of equivalent flooring to rest the end of the foot on. It appears the IronMaster is pretty much flat on the bottom so, even if I was ok with the small incline created by hanging off the platform with the feet it seems the bottom support bar would rub on the edge of the Speediance platform. Do you have any thoughts on that?
    Also, the Speediance bench seems a bit unique in that as you incline the back the seat moves backwards towards the center of Speediance platform. Most other benches simply incline and the seat stays in place. I’m wondering if it is less than ideal to have the seat further back on the platform when the cables are centered on the platform. It seems it would end up with the resistance coming at you from different angles than the Speediance bench. Do you think that makes any difference?
    Finally, I’m 6’4”. I assume I should buy the bead extension. Do you see any other issues that I might have?
    Sorry for all the questions, and I appreciate if you have time to respond.
    I

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately I do not know. I ended up selling my IronMaster bench before my move, but I may get it again as I miss it and will have some tests with dumbbells in the coming months. I know a lot of people have replaced the bench from Speediance with something else and done fine. I personally only use it as a flat bench and dont both with the incline. Remember that because it is a cable, you can just push at the angle you need vs how gravity only provide force vertically. So you could use a flat bench and just push an incline instead.
      Sorry I couldnt provide more help. Speediance support may also have some idea as well. Im not really a fan of the adjustable bench. I just go with the flat one.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct. However, for me it isn't a major issue, just slightly outside where I want that width to be. Depending on how big you are, this could be better/worse. The Lebert Equalizers help with that issue.

      Yes, as mine is just under 24 inches. Note that the bar that goes into the bench is pretty long as well as the handle bars. You will need some room for them to fit as well. I have to angle mine through the sliding doors to get it to go in and then it rests above my dumbbells.

    Instead of the bench, you could also opt for the Fitness Reality cage when it goes on sale for like $200 basically + tax or whatever, get the lat pull-down attachment + dip bar add on, and there's obviously a pull-up bar at the top by default. I would totally do that instead, feel like this is more of a jerry-rigged adaptation of a home-gym, still, though, I have to admit this setup is much more portable and I know you're a fan of tucking things into a corner, lol. It is attractive, yes, but if you feel your current place of residence has any sense of permanence to it, I would lean toward the former setup. Having a power cage is just awesome, and opens up a whole new slew of options in the future, including modifications for having a dual-cable pulley system for cable chest flys, and I'm sure all sorts of other creative endeavors (TH-cam is your friend). Having access to a cable attachment is pretty unbeatable. All that said, you can build your physique entirely to great heights with dumbbells and resistance bands alone, don't get me wrong, but having a cable system is just that much more effective for its consistent strength curves...

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, the reason I don't have something of that nature is my place does not have an area for it outside of my garage which I refuse to workout in as it can get over 100 degrees in the summer :)
