    Thank you for another great video on Ironmaster products. They won me over as a customer with the Super Bench and attachments I have been using for many years. I may finally take the leap to add the IM2000 this year. I really enjoy the tips and hacks to get even more exercise variations out of each piece of equipment.

    On the Super Bench Pro v2, you can use the new third slot in the middle of the bench to insert the seat pad and have a backrest. You have to lean back a bit but it works.

    Awesome overview! I was wondering if I could use the crunch attachment for lat pulldowns and am really glad you confirmed it! The tough thing is I noticed Ironmaster recently raised prices across most of its items including the bench and much of the attachments, but a bunch of companies are too due to rising costs.
    Can’t wait for more videos in this series!

      Thanks so much! Yeah, I’ve noticed that with a lot of companies. For example, the Titan Seated Leg Curl went from $500 to $650. Unfortunately, it’s costing businesses more money to do business.

    Another amazing video
    Ive been adding to my home gym in my basement recently and even with hours of searching gym equipment for months now, i have never seen this ironmaster unit before, what a versatile peice of equipment
    When you pulled out the band dips it made me realize i should give that a try when doing dips for pec minor/scapular depression on my vertical knee raise - i usually do thirty reps so no need for added resistance although when i do i resort to ankle weights
    As a subscriber for many reasons, one of which is just that, how in depth you go into each part of what your discussing - your perspective always seems to be insightful and helpful to a fellow iron addict / home fitness connesuir
    So i appreciate the time you take to mention and explain areas like that & more like if the lying ham curl is comfortable - because as essential as the hams are to target it can be hard to obtain a proper contraction in the prone position
    I really only get an effective contraction in the standing position, using ankle weights, but i just purchased a functional trainer so i can do that movement not only standing up but with constant tension
    Speaking of which i really appreciate your vids on the powertec functional trainer, almost purchased as it was my first choice due to build quality and your the only one out there that has a review on it that shows the peice in incredible detail - cant thank you enough for that as your vids have truly made an impact on what i decide for my basement home gym
    Would have definitely went with powertec but size was a factor and it was too deep for the corner its going in compared to the ‘bells of steel’ one i went with which to my suprise has a depth of only thirty inches
    Also must mention your garage gym is like my dream gym with the space, lighting and high ceilings - just bought my first home, a small ranch, im in the northeast tho so im limited weatherwise to a basement gym but i can still dream!
    Anyways looking forward to more of your videos

    I had to move recently so I sold my powertec levergym lol but I am keeping my ironmaster 2000. I ordered the v2 bench with the sit-up attachment to do pull downs from it (sitting on the floor sucks hurt my back) but I think downing rows on the floor or with an ab mat will be decent enough

      @@HomeGymHacksandReviews just another reason for me to invest in a SB Pro
      Dunno why I keep looking elsewhere 😕
      Yeah I found a rock solid weight tree off Gumtree (our Craigslist), tis a fully welded custom made one for $150, tripod design with 12 plate holders, though the spacings are a little narrow, looks like it suits 45s/55s at the bottom then 25s/35s the next prong up then the top 2 prongs for 2.5s/5s/10s. Though I've whacked my band set on the back of it for now, probably will invest in some higher quality slimline bumpers for deadlifting/barbell rows etc and sell my budget set I'm currently using, then will grab iron plates for the rest of my lifting. Was looking at a 6 prong 4 barbell tree, but I'd need more barbell storage, so I think even though the tree I bought isn't great for bumpers, it was probably still the right buy, so will grab a Rogue 9 barbell holder eventually and that'll do the job
      The good thing is with the tree now in the garage I can gauge how many more things I can get to fill the place up effectively, so looks like I can definitely get a seated calf raise, a proper 3-4 tier hex dumbbell rack and one of a hyperextension/preacher, maybe both if the hyperextension is light and easy to move around so the SB Pro attachments will fill the gaps (most likely with the leg curl/ext)
      Love that you bought into Ironmaster stuff though, Ironmaster was probably the first brand targeting the home gym owner that I was really excited about buying into and hasn't let me down yet, well worth paying up for.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews

      12 plate holders is amazing! And a really good buy. I’m glad I got my 9 bar storage to grow into.
      At some point, I need to get a Rogue and / or Rep bench for even more comparisons.

    With the leg extension/hamstring curls, do you find there is a “dead zone” in the movement where you are not under tension? I like how plate loaded machines keep you under tension the whole time and was wondering if the 10 degree angle is enough to mimick this. Thanks for the great content!

    so if you set the bench at a slight incline, you get more clearance for longer legs on the leg extension? does the leg have to touch the ground on the attachment?

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is designed and I only recommend using it at the 10 degree incline; at that setting it should fit almost anyone of any height.

      It offers pretty consistent resistance. For its price, if you already have the bench, it’s a good buy. I do miss handles and a back support, but I’ve shown ways to hack that.

    Can you use 1” plates for the leg extension and could you attach it to a cable machine?

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the Olympic Sleeve Adapter on - so yes, it can take 1” plates including the Ironmaster plates. I have not tried to connect it to a cable machine, but with some ingenuity I am sure it can be done.
