Thanks for the feedback, Coop! Sounds like our softer padding didn’t quite win you over, though it’s a favorite for many. But we’ve listened, and we’re rolling out 4 new firmer benches this month with different grips!

I'm sure this won't change, but I'd prefer 15 degree intervals over the current 10 degrees, to hit those more common 15, 45, and 75 degrees. Maybe update the regular Super Bench with a lower height (17"), better vinyl, and 0 - 15 - 30 - 45 - 60 - 75 - 85 Incline Angles, to differentiate it from the Super Bench Pro. Also, I'd suggest an updated 2-piece Chin-up Bar. The 90 degree curve makes it harder to store. Looking forward to the next versions.
@ironmasterPro BTW, have you looked into making the seat "connector" and the insertion tube on the bench Hexagonal or Octagonal instead of Square? That could open up different angles for Incline Pressing.
Love the products but any chance the adjustable FID bench 2.0 could have some minor improvements done? Really interested in it but deal-breakers for me that would need to change or be added: 1. Labeled angles 2. More angles like 2nd steeper decline angle around -20° and incline angle in the 20 degrees. 3. Add additional 30° seat incline 4. Rectangular back pad option with no taper around 12" wide 5. Longer than 30-day warranty on the pad And then the cherry on top would be pricing it just a bit cheaper at like $299.99 or something! I think with all that you'd have a real hit!

Iron Master Super Bench Pro V2 with hybrid bench and thicker vinyl/padding + situp attachment: you've got all of these options: Flat, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 85 degrees incline -or- decline! It's great for FID benching, overhead pressing, decline situps, etc.

Took Coop’s recommendation from last year. Love my Ironmaster Super Bench Pro V2 with the leg attachment. Figured how to connect the leg attachment to my Athena with an extra cable and my Gympin belt squat collar.
Just got the Ironmaster Pro V2 and agree with your comments. Coming from x2 budget benches this bench is great. I did tons of research and watched as many videos as I could before purchasing but what helped me was the 20% off deal they just ran! The unsung best feature in my mind w the bench is the foot control to adjust tilt- so smart. I also really like being able to move the seat higher up on the bench. Now when doing supported dumbbell rows, your face doesn't have to be smashed into the back pad. Thanks for this video Coop, loved your ratings and insight. RR
A couple months late to this party, but wanted to see how the bench is holding up for you? I am in the market for a bench and debating if I should just go budget first, or save up and snag this when it goes back in stock in Jan/Feb
I do love the exhaustive format, but I think you should tweak it a bit. Rather than figuring cost into the tier rating, do a tier for different price points. A budget tier, mid price tier and high price tier (including shipping of course). And I always appreciate knowing why a product rated where it did (the vinyl sucks, it's too heavy, or what sets it above the rest.) We're all going to vary slightly in what we're looking for in our gyms. The format as it stands is just an exhaustive opinion list. Add in the reasons and separate it by price point and I think it will be a more useful format. And you can probably go through it almost as quickly. For other products to rank: cable attachments, bands, bumper plates, storage racks, kettlebells... the list goes on.
Why is the Titan FID bench ranked so low? It's a very solid bench that also allows for a variety "extra" exercises. You can do decline situps, nordic hamstring curls, bulgarian split squat, and even seated cable rows.
I think manta ray should be A. Overbuilt and heavy it’s obviously expensive but I think it makes up its extra cost vs the blackwing and others high on the list. Made in the USA, best vinyl on the market, wide frame whilst actually being slightly lighter off the floor than the blackwing. Also a 1 inch pad gap is great, beats the zero gap adjustment imo
Love the tier lists! 💪 I’m going to suggest this again just because I think it would be beneficial to both the channel and the viewer. Instead of going from F tier to S tier I think it would be better if you just stated the name of the bench and then let it be a surprise where on the tier list it falls. This makes it more exciting to watch through the whole video instead of getting bored and just skipping to see what’s the best at the end. If you’ve organized it in this way, because you want people to skip to the end and use the affiliate link to just purchase the best bench, then just put the tier list and affiliate links either in the description or as a pinned comment. This makes it a win-win-win for the viewer, customer, and channel. Viewers get more excitement for where a bench is going to be ranked, and you help people find the affiliate links quickly for what bench they want.
Have had the blackwing for about a month. I don't even notice the weight anymore. Really love it, love the cuts and stainless knurling on handles/knobs, most solid bench ever, and love the zero gap (took some time to learn the tricks with getting the seat really tight). Would suggest it to anyone that isn't too worried about a heavier bench, it's totally manageable on the weight if just rolling it around.
How do you get the seat really tight? I felt like it was tight when I first got it, but now I can't tighten the screw/pin tight enough that the seat won't have at least a bit of wobble to it
@@deadbrocks Don't worry about twisting the knob, just pull it and keep it a little snug - don't worry about twisting it. To make a really tight fit: Adjust the zero gap first with the pull pin while either the seat or back rest is 1 notch lower than desired position, then either bring the seat up or back up (usually the seat) to "squeeze" the gap tight which removes all the wiggle. The ability to raise the seat without pulling the adjustment pin makes this squeeze motion quick and easy. Hope that makes sense and hope it helps.
I have the IMsbpV2 and the Rep AB-5200 1.0. Both are great benches! I will say, I use the IM waaayyy more than I do the Rep. It's lighter, and has more incline adjustments. I prefer the Rep for heavier work and comp style benching but the IM is the ultimate accessory bench. Rep's is more robust and sturdy but on the downside, it's pretty heavy. The fit and finish is better than the IM though. The IM's foot lever adjustment mechanism is pretty cool. I know some people dont like the seat, but I actually do. On low incline movements, I don't even have to use it, and I like that it has 3 different seat height positions. For seated OH pressing, I like the highest seat position. Its nice to not have to sit so low. The hybrid pad is great too. Chest supported rows with a narrower pad is better for me, but I can still flip it around and have a wider pad for pressing. If it had some grippier vinyl, I'd probably sell my AB-5200 to free up some space. I agree, IM could improve a few aspects (vinyl, handle, wheels, and base that interferes with comp style benching). Overall, I've fallen in love with it, after originally just buying it for its ability to slide under my rack's Rhino platform for incline pressing.
I have the Titan Titan Series FID Bench and it is the best bench I have ever used. I'd definitely bump it up to A or B tier if it was my choice. Only difference between the FID Bench and the other Titan series is the pop pins but the FID comes with leg rollers and can decline significantly. At $450 that's a solid price when the Rep Blackwing with rollers is $770
Due to limited room, I built my home gym around the Ironmaster Super Bench Pro a few years ago (have the original super bench but have upgraded it with the hybrid pad). I have nearly all the attachments (do yourself a favor and get the organizer if you get multiple attachments). Happy to see it is in the top tier pick, because for a home gym it really is a perfect choice for most people.
I’m waiting for the organizer to come back in stock. Have the dip bar and crunch/sit up attachment. Probably will add the preacher curl pad and the new bench pad coop is hinting at when it’s released.
Adding a few really common commercial grade benches would really help people compare home gym benches to familiar ones if they’re just starting their home build
While I love my Titan series bench I like that you pointed out that the wheel coverings are almost too much. My home gym is very tight so sometimes spinning the bench around is a PITA when the covers get snagged on the flooring
I loved this video! the formatting for presenting was amazing. super well done just discovered some of your videos and love them. I've been garage gym only for a couple years and wish I would have watched your videos sooner! I actually love Rep equipment and the budget friendly, what is YOUR criteria for budget friendly? just curious, I will actually look for more of your videos on BUILDING a garage gym, mine is very well stocked in my opinion but you have peaked my curiosity!! LOVE your videos!! Keep it up!!
Not withstanding price I feel like Eleiko benches are S tier too. All features that you want from an adjustable bench, you can choose the upholstery as per your requirements, and very maneuverable with more than adequate stability. withstanding price I think they're B because they're excellent in every other metric.
I just wish manufactures would stop compromising the stability of the main position (flat) where it should be the strongest to offer the decline position that almost nobody will use
I’ve had an AB 3100 from Rep Fitness now 7 years and I’m gonna have it till I’m gone. It’s min gap, got a great deal back in the day and it does everything I need it to do.edited to say I paid 179$ for it back in the day!
No bench under $400 in A or S tier? After 20 minutes I feel like I should have some idea why I should spend $300-$1,000 more on a bench than a $100 Flybird that "works" but nope.
I think you meant Rogue 3.0 is bolt together in the center, but you said Rep. The Rogue 3.0 was bolted together in the center, but it has been updated like last year. It is welded in the center now
I have the IM Superbench v2. Love the maneuverability and ecosystem. Don’t love the fixed position seat for incline but it works. No complaints about the vinyl - never had a problem staying in place. Just lift heavier haha
I don't work for them but I have the Legend Fitness bench. Great if you don't like the super wide benches and you prefer fully welded rather than bolted together - it doesn't look super big but it is very solid. Cant remember the price but it a lot cheaper direct from them than on reseller websites. Not sure if its really an amazing deal with the shipping thrown in but since I was ordering a half rack anyway they put it on the same pallets so was no additional shipping charges. Custom colors, built to order, fully welded, made in USA (fully welded and built in USA was important to me - the price only a little bit).
I got the ethos adjustable bench like 5 years ago. That thing is solid. I was just wondering how it would hold up to your list. Also ethos has came out with a line of new equipment. All 1000lbs ratings at a excellent price. Would love to see a review on that. Great video btw
Same, no decline. Pad is mehhh but it’s a solid bench. I’d get a rep bench for the same price if I had to buy it new but for what I paid on marketplace I am not complaining.
@@demerson1990 also as far as the pad goes . I use it 2 to 3 times a week it's help up. But I have a competition bench and that is what I use to go heavy on due to the no slip grip.
An interesting comparison would be between the best of the new home gym benches and the commercial ones that frequent FB marketplace , ebay, and elsewhere. I picked up near mint Hammer Strength Adjustable for $300 which is normally $1600 new. It was part of a HS Football program replacing their weightroom gear. I think you can get a lot of gear like this on the used market for a good price
I've got the Rep AB-3000 V2. It's been great, but the seat height adjustment puts it at an odd angle to the bench. You end up kind of sitting on the corner while lying back. My only (minor) complaint.
Great review!! I love the deep dive. I just started watching you and trying to get some exercise happening at home. I'm a big guy, 69 years old, and so far the Flybird is working ok, but it was an 'experimental' purchase. Your review has given me some good ideas of what to upgrade to. Thanks!
I had a monster Ironman 160 LB bench that only I could use due to its weight. Got the Super Bench Pro V2 on sale a few weeks ago based on Coop's review. What a bench. The weight difference alone makes it worth it. I also added a couple of attachments. Super glad about it.
I got the Keppi Bench1000 Pro during Amazon prime days for $250 CAD and I have been very impressed with it. The adjustment is maybe a tad slower than some others and the seat is just slightly spaced too far, but those are my only not-picks. It is very stable and feels very solidly built, and also easy to move around. Definitely recommend if you can get it on sale
Griffin AB 2.0, huh? Gentlemen you had my curiosity ... but now you have my attention. Didn’t know it had a leg roller decline. I think this deserves a in depth look
The Force USA My bench does include the Leg Ext/Curl & Preacher Attachments for $399. Its our # 1 seller in the store, but we can't sell a lot of the other brands you mention.
That Shorty Adjustable Bench looks interesting. Can you do back extensions on it? So many people want decline and sit ups, I’m much more interested in a little lower back exercise every day!!
Thanks Coop. This was perfect. I was thinking all this time I would be getting the Rep ab 3000 but now I am thinking of getting your top choice. I do like that and it has a lot of great features. I just hope the prices don’t go up now that YOU gave it a top score.
So far, I only have a barbell and dumbbells that I got off FB marketplace. My next purchase is going to be a bench (then a power rack), so the timing of this video is perfect for me.
I just got the ab-3000 last weekend. First time using it today for Bench press and chest support back row, the grip and strudiness is amazing. Bye adjustable flybird and marcy flat bench 😂
I have had a Parabody 893 Pro since like 1995. It is so hard to find an adjustable incline/flat and decline bench that has a preacher attachment as well. For me the leg secure attachment is necessary for decline. The force USA my bench and the V2 are great options even if you have to pay for the preacher attachment.
Missed the Getrx'd fidab-2! Love mine and the dual ladder adjustments design. Although the paint started chipping a bit early after i got it. It's a tank tho
I have and love the Rep BlackWing bench. Even being over 6” and 270lbs, I notice the weight of the bench but I’d never get rid of it. That this is built to pass on to grandchildren.
1: REP's FID benches can't be beat if you do incline movements. 2: PLEASE give us the leg extension / leg curl tier list. The reviews are so far apart time wise. It would be awesome to get your thoughts.
Me and my son have been using the Iron Master Pro for months in the back yard open patio. On a pair of stand alone very cheap $50 Amazon bench press/ squat stands for Olympic bar with cheap Amazon Hulk bumper plates. I’m going to upgrade for safety and versatility and get a cage. Just not sure which one to get.
Nice one Coop. Pretty surprised this was incorrect. After years of supporting Coop channel in the early days this feels like a kick in the teeth for the Force USA products team that have been improving products across the board. Forging new territory with the C10 bench helping the industry find product market fit for new product design.
Yeah on integrity alone I would have issued something showing a correction, insert a small asterisk in the video or before or after, maybe even a comment for all to see and pin it.
So just to confirm, there isn't a sub $200 good bench that allows optional preacher pad or leg extension/curl in the B or higher rank and there isn't one for $399 or less that comes with those 2 features included in an adjustable bench B rank or higher?
I bought the Force USA bench it came with the preacher curl and leg extension/curl attachment no extra charge. (not sure if someone made a mistake including it but I didn't order/pay for the attachments)
Ironmaster Superbench Pro is well worth it if you don’t have space for a bar and a rack. Having the DBs (with their add on kit), the bench, leg extension/leg curl , pull up bar, sit up and cable tower attachments = more than enough for a very small footprint. I have the pull up bar and hang rings on it for dips (I regularly use a weight belt and it doesn’t get in the way). Leg curl/extension can go heavy (think up to 90kg). Cable tower attachment is 1:1 and I use the Ironmaster DBs to load it (can get up to 120kg and feels smooth).
They posted an adjustable dumbbell tier list recently. Rep X Pepin are the best, but there are other great, and more affordable options if you're on a budget.
I'll stick to my Rogue's AB 3.0 with that stainless steel ladder, aesthetically a beautiful bench. I'd consider REP but don't like how their ladder look low budget, if it was stainless as Rogue, I'd swap.
With all the cable systems/functional trainers now….need to see more benches with leg curl attachments that can use cable systems. I imagine rep will come out with that for the Blackwing given its design and let roller mount, but as of now nobody really has made this design change and attachment available.
Love this and all the content Coop! Hope to see you in April at the next forum. Keep up the content and interested on weight storage ranking for storage types for KB, DB, Weighted balls etc.
Where would you score the Powertec FID bench? I like it because of its horizontal adjustability and they have a lot of attachments. Priced at $449 with free shipping.
I replaced a bench similar to the REP AB-5200 with the Ironmaster Pro V2 and even though at first it felt like a downgrade, it was one of the best decisions I could make. Its just so easy to move around and compact. It has a few issues but the pros far outweigh the cons IMHO. Recommend it 1000%.
Eagerly awaiting my Ironmaster 2, sold my Bowflex bench for it because as I looked at the Bowflex, while it felt great to use, it didnt make sense for what I wanted. Stacking it took up more space then the Ironmaster would (working with a very cramped space), and the Ironmaster has way more versatility. But my bench got lost in the vacuum of space due to the recent hurricanes. I dont know how many times I can refresh the tracking number hoping there's an update on the shipping progress.
My main complaint with the Rogue 3.0 bench is that they only offer the textured foam pad which is a VERY hard surface. I wish they still offered the vinyl option. The middle joint is no longer bolted but welded together. A significant improvement. Coop- what do you think of the textured foam pad?
Thanks for putting this list together! One recommendation I'd like to make is organize the products within the tiers as a spectrum. At 2:48 you said "this bench could be in C or D tier", so it would make since to put it either at the top of D or at the bottom of C. Putting in at the end of D makes it seem like it's worse than the rest in the line up
Would you go with AB3100 Rep $243 shipped over Major Fitness PLT-01 shipped 219 . Your rankings say Rep my budget was 225 but I’m guessing the Rep Quality is worth the extra few bucks to pair with my Fringe Dane system.

Also waiting for version 3. The fixed 90 degree seat angle keeps me from pulling the trigger (leaning toward REP AB-4100 instead).

If Rep could just combine the 5200 and blackwing that would be the best bench on the market by far. Drop the zero gap gimmick and give me a leg roller

No GetRX'd? No Exponent Edge? Have you seen Snode's new bench?
Wish this would have been available a year ago. I appreciate the rapid fire way you got it done as well. That’s something you could do more of.
Bought the iron master v2 about a year ago thanks to your review. Incredible bench. Much nicer doing pull ups not in a door way.
Adding a few really common commercial grade benches would really help people compare home gym benches to familiar ones if they’re just starting their home build
Love my REP AB3000 2.0. Solid, great vinyl, solid pad, a steal at the price, and more bench than I will ever need.
Totally agree. I love mine. The white I think is also stunning to look at. Peace.
i'm jealous with the 1.0.
Nice to see the bench I have at the top of the tier list! Love everything Iron Master I own, their DBs and Bench are both killer
Any alternatives to benches? Like something lying around the house or outside?
I would just look into getting a real one tbh be safe about it. If anything just bench on the ground until you get one
No bench under $400 in A or S tier?
After 20 minutes I feel like I should have some idea why I should spend $300-$1,000 more on a bench than a $100 Flybird that "works" but nope.
Coop!!!!! Thanks for bringing back the OG jams. ❤
I love how this is a gym review channel : has cross bow as part of background
I don't work for them but I have the Legend Fitness bench. Great if you don't like the super wide benches and you prefer fully welded rather than bolted together - it doesn't look super big but it is very solid. Cant remember the price but it a lot cheaper direct from them than on reseller websites. Not sure if its really an amazing deal with the shipping thrown in but since I was ordering a half rack anyway they put it on the same pallets so was no additional shipping charges. Custom colors, built to order, fully welded, made in USA (fully welded and built in USA was important to me - the price only a little bit).
15:31 just picked up the ironmaster super bench pro v2 on sale for $400 last month.
@@demerson1990 it was only 200 when I got it. Covid it went up to 300. But they redesign it. Much better now
@@demerson1990 also as far as the pad goes .
Powertec?
Would love to see a comparison with the newest version of the ATX Bulls Bench
Great review!! I love the deep dive. I just started watching you and trying to get some exercise happening at home. I'm a big guy, 69 years old, and so far the Flybird is working ok, but it was an 'experimental' purchase. Your review has given me some good ideas of what to upgrade to. Thanks!
I’d like to see you review the PowerBlock benches along with their attachments
I love my Titan series! Such great value, 12 inch pad and solid!
Has anybody mentioned anything or issues about ROM on the leg extension or curls? That's my only reservation so far.
What about the bells of steel adjustable bench that can take a bunch of attachments. I was hoping to see ur thoughts
We need more videos like this!! 👍
That Shorty Adjustable Bench looks interesting. Can you do back extensions on it? So many people want decline and sit ups, I’m much more interested in a little lower back exercise every day!!
Where are the Get RXd FIDAB-2 and the Get RXd FIDAB-101? Those benches are too good to not be on this list.
I really like my iron master bench. The attachments are also really nice and don’t feel gimmicky. The bench usually goes on sale for $400
Thanks Coop.
I do own the Force USA "Mybench", I can confirm that the attachements are included with it :o
That's what I way thinking as well, seems like a good value for the money.
Yep. The get rxd is S-tier.
I have a REP AB-3100...love it!!
I have and love the Rep BlackWing bench. Even being over 6” and 270lbs, I notice the weight of the bench but I’d never get rid of it. That this is built to pass on to grandchildren.
Love the 'stache! Now I definitely know I can trust you! :)
Force USA MyBench INCLUDES both attachments. You did them dirty.
For a home gym. How can you have a bench ranked above a C that is not a FID?
So just to confirm, there isn't a sub $200 good bench that allows optional preacher pad or leg extension/curl in the B or higher rank and there isn't one for $399 or less that comes with those 2 features included in an adjustable bench B rank or higher?
I have the Force USA MyBench and it comes with all the attachments.... not sure where you got your info from.
No review is complete without our Heavy Duty Bench 3.0
Ironmaster V3 in the works? Maybe they will listen to Gluck and add degree markings on each side and make the seat angle adjustable
40 benches and no GET RXD FIDAB-2? It's definitely an S-tier bench. It's better than the rep 5200; has a leg roller and dumbell holders.
Excellent review and I made a list from this video.
I loved it, do you have a recent review on adjustable dumbbells too? I'm just starting to think about building a garage gym
They posted an adjustable dumbbell tier list recently. Rep X Pepin are the best, but there are other great, and more affordable options if you're on a budget.
Wish the Manta ray would come with attachments like leg curls preacher curl etc
I'll stick to my Rogue's AB 3.0 with that stainless steel ladder, aesthetically a beautiful bench.
I'd consider REP but don't like how their ladder look low budget, if it was stainless as Rogue, I'd swap.
With all the cable systems/functional trainers now….need to see more benches with leg curl attachments that can use cable systems. I imagine rep will come out with that for the Blackwing given its design and let roller mount, but as of now nobody really has made this design change and attachment available.
Bells of steel has a nice bench with a lot of attachments. I don't understand why he didn't have it on this list
I love your channel and what you share with us
Great review as always, but where is Eleiko’s adjustable benches dude?!
Putting in at the end of D makes it seem like it's worse than the rest in the line up
The Shorty is absolute beast. I love mine with my ToG AIO rack.
Would you go with AB3100 Rep $243 shipped over Major Fitness PLT-01 shipped 219 . Your rankings say Rep my budget was 225 but I’m guessing the Rep Quality is worth the extra few bucks to pair with my Fringe Dane system.
