I’ve watched this 3 times now by far your best vid, no one ever films the whole way up, for me the journey is always more important than the destination when it comes to wild camping, keep it up Liam mate YOU CLAG
Fair play, doing that one handed so that we get to join you on the way was a top effort. Your commitment at the top to try and capture the best possible panoramic view possible by doing the 360 sideways rolly-polly was above and beyond mate 👍🏼
I'm looking forward to being present at the book signing when you publish The Epic Adventures of Claggy O'Scran - Scarf Hell and the Vintage Chicken Sandwich. It'll make Harry Potter look like a chip shop menu covered in vinegar and the remnants of over fried batter !Japanese jam jar jugglers - it's soooo exciting i could crush a grape. After traversing Lord wotsits rake you must of had the feeling ' If i were chocolate - i'd eat myself ' - i know i would Liam.
I've done Lord's Rake four times and found it pretty easy. Always fancied the West Wall Traverse but wondered what it was like, now I know. Thanks for a great vid.
Awesome! Epic climb and as if it wasnt flipping good enoght a couple of typhoons skimmed across your head space 👍 love it! This is one of the best outdoors videos ive ever watched. Thanks for taking us along.♥️♥️👌
Omg 😳 my feet were tingling watching that!! That was a awesome but very sickly watch. One of the most tense Vlogs I've ever watched. Great effort Liam 👏👏👏👍
Awesome Liam, absolutely brill, only person to traverse a mountain and falls on his arse on the flattest summit ever 😂😂😂. Maybe one of the midges tripped you up.
Hi Liam. Epic video. So glad you were OK after your fall and those Jet's were awesome. Glad you had good weather. Epic sunset. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. 😊👍🗻⛰️
Cracking video pal, I was so relieved for you when you got up there!! This section is on leg 3 of the Bob Graham Round and I ran it a few months back - I was literally crying inside whilst doing this climb - proper bricking it!! Never again!! haha
I’ve watched quite a few videos of that route now with a view to doing it myself, some by TH-camrs with many more followers than you, but have to say, yours was by far the best. You showed the full route unedited and the camera facing back at you really showed how steep it is and what you had to do to get up it. Brilliant. I think I’ll still be shitting myself when I do it, though.
Oh thank you for that, kind words. I try to show the route the best I can whilst staying safe. Sometimes the routes can look a lot easier on camera so its best to just get out there and have a look! Thanks for watching
Thanks Dave, yeah its certainly worth doing. ( Not sure i’ll be in too much of a rush to do it again mind 😅 ) but I did enjoy it and its worth it for the buzz when you pop out of the top. Take it easy mate.
Great video. It's certainly a steep climb up Lord's Rake on tough terrain but a lot less scary since the big chockstone at the top fell a few years ago. It used to loom over you at the top of the gully and was huge, you had your hand on a piece of it at 7.00 The rumour was mountain rescue sent it tumbling as it was starting to crack and a good chance it could have gone with people going up. Take care. Mick.
wow…. i was a nervous wreck watching this … and when you did those 180° or even the 360° snapshots, it made my stomach turn… let alone the almost vertical ascent and standing on the edge of the narrow footpaths, that just drops down?!! 😵😰😵💫🥴🤢 You are one brave man Liam! may your channel grown from strength to strength and please take care of yourself!! 😎🤙 From Gloucestershire
Great scamble. I didn't have it in me to do Lord's Rake. We ended up doing Greencove Wyke. Maybe one day I'll try this route to prove that I can. Thanks for videos like this. They really help you visualize what the trail is going to look like.
Hi just started watching you, my heart was in my mouth watching u go up that way, love a good scramble, never done the mountains in England, I'm Scotland
Good effort mate. Subbed under severe pressure from your Aunt Elaine but glad I did. You obviously love it. Fair play to ya. Watched several now and into it. Good man.
Wow! This video was brilliant, you sound so at easy on film and nothing seems too much effort. Hope your channel grows and grows your a star in the making. 👍
Brought back memories! My mum and dad dragged me up there in snow and ice when I was about ten.. not sure if they were oblivious to the dangers or just not arsed! 😂 actually we said at time even though had no snow gear or crampons it was possibly made easier because we were stepping in bigger footprints in the snow/ice made by someone who went up before us.. don't think I'd fancy the scree! And certainly wouldn't take my ten year old up it just yet! Well done fir filming at same time and great vid as always. Nice one 👍
One of your best videos to date Liam in my opinion. Not many hikers have the confidence to safely film the routes you chose which gave perspective on just how steep, and potentially dangerous they can be. And as for the views you captured. Stunning mate 👊😎
Thanks Marc, I try to capture the route the best I can whilst keeping it safe 👌🏼 The camera doesn’t always do it justice and It can seem easier than it actually is.
Sick video this Liam ...Love your 'just give it a bash' attitude ....I'm working my way through your videos and love them all ...Love that you just get on with it and show how easy it can be without boasting all the top gear ...quality mate 👍🏻
Really interesting to see this - 25 years ago out on a May BH trip I backpacked over Scafell Pike and meant to take the path to Wasdale Head, but missed it and ended up going up the Lord's Rake thinking that must be it (doh), went to the top where you turned L then retraced my steps and found the right path, following some climbers down who kept up conversation for a bit, or one of them did, before being coaxed in by his mate who was a lot quicker than I was. It looked like a vertical drop at the top, but just checking the map again and it looks like there is a path down from there, as well as yours! The next day I was eyeing up Great Gable but my legs were so completely shot as I'd done over 20 miles over tough peaks, I took a much easier route to Buttermere (I think, or am I confusing it with another trip). Great vids, keep them coming!
Absolutely cracking video mate, that fall was ace! Smooth like butter. I've tried showing people what walking up scree is like on video before but no one can capture it like you have here! Good effort pal, thoroughly enjoyed that!
Mate I thought I was going to have a panic attack watching this, but I appreciate you doing it because now I know there is no chance I'm getting up there 😂 great videos
Great vid love your channel .. sca fell pike is one of the ones on my list but I got told it’s boring so that’s why it’s still on the list 🤣 I was going to do it in the next few weeks and pick a harder route .. thank god I saw your video and know to not do that way .. think I would of had a panic attack half way up thinking I’d gone the wrong way it was scary
I got to the top of Scafell Pike in 2006 and there was a bloke at the top who’d hauled up a grill and a bottle of gas and he was selling bacon sandwiches to the crowds!
Great video, all the better for seeing it in full and real time. I was waiting for you to get to the narrow gully at the top of West Wall Traverse - fun isn’t it 😀
up that route to scafell after a 5 mile hike up scafell pike is absolutely insane mate, just did scafell pike yesterday and was knackered after. Good on ya lad proper smashed that one out
My God Liam that looked bloody scary,I was on the edge of my seat watching,I take it the sandwich you nearly crushed was a Marinara from Subway because you nearly bashed your meatballs, then to have a fly by for your efforts, superb stuff mate.ATB.
Lmao nearly bashed my meatballs hahaha love that. Yeah quite a scary climb, you really feel inside the mountain for quite a long while. Thanks for watching Jimmy 👍🏼
Flipping eck my heart was in my mouth watching you go up there , felt like i was taking every step with you lol. well done cus I would've been too scared to attempt it on my own

I was with you all the way up... 😮 Thanks for showing me something I'll never do.
Blooming heck! I was getting dizzy just watching on me telly! Good on you for persevering!
Thank you 🙌🏻
It's completely nuts that you did Lords Rake and the West wall traverse one handed AND a bagging video to boot.
Amazing Liam, amazing son.
17K VIEWS: 200 COMMENTS AND ONLY 700 LIKES. WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE. THAT WAS AN EPIC INTREPID CLIMB. I AM BUZZING FOR YOU MATE.❤👍👍👍

I did this route Summer 1988. Challenging but very satisfying.
Loved remembering it through your video. Thanks. 😊
Absolutely the best video of Lords Rake I have seen. I cannot believe the quality. All that using just one hand. Thankyou.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video mate!

OMG……. If you did a “rolly polly” a bit earlier, I doubt we’d be seeing this video…..😅 Excellent video as always Liam👍🏻
11:12 You can really see how steep it is at this point, you're a braver man than I! 💪💪💪

hey that was sick that climb to the top and views especially the drone shots
I actually fell then 😂🤣😂 31 mins into the video you have just made my day, how you nailed the landing and land back on your feet 😂🤣👏
Great video. It's certainly a steep climb up Lord's Rake on tough terrain but a lot less scary since the big chockstone at the top fell a few years ago.
