Haven't seen this done via Lingmell on youtube, enjoyed this. Some extra calories burnt though. 😄 Symonds Knott is when you top out if you do the west wall traverse which is a left turn off on lords rake before you climb the cholk stone.

@adamwest4825 Id still recommend the 6 even though there’s a 7 as not much difference. They have different sizes but mine is the largest being the 6X Pro so has the bigger screen and strongest battery life.
@krisgleave Perfect thanks, looking at that model now seems just what i need. Ran into difficulty getting down the corridor route on Saturday, visibility must of been not even 20 feet, and want to be more prepared. Want a watch with GPS as good battery life
@@adamwest4825 aah yes I think they’re invaluable. You’ll use it on every hike so it’s worth every penny. If and when you buy one, you’ll also need to upgrade the maps. Check out TalkyToaster on Google. It’s about £14 I think one off or maybe less. Essential in my opinion as adds a lot more information missing from Garmin maps including contours. Everyone’s gets this who gets a Garmin watch
Cheers Colin it’s a great route and not too bad when you’re there and actually on it. For this I wore my Adidas Terrex Freehiker GTX (v1 not the v2). @krisgleave thanks Kris, I'll check it out. I'm after a small rucksack for the day hikes. Hoping to do Scarfell pike late next week, depending on weather.
@@kevsoutdooradventures Good luck! There are discounts on that bag at a few places so have a good luck. Blacks have discount codes too so have a look. It’s really good
Great video, what watch are you wearing? Does it link in with OS maps?
Thanks Adam. It’s the Fenix 6X Pro and love it. Used it for a couple of years now for every hike. You can plot your own routes on OS Maps if you want like I do or download any GPX file. Then just share it / open it in the Garmin Connect app and you can send it straight to your watch.
@@krisgleave Thanks Kris, will look to grab one before my next big hike.
Really enjoyed that . Scramble was a bit hairy at times. What boots did you use? Looked very grippy.
Cheers Colin it’s a great route and not too bad when you’re there and actually on it. For this I wore my Adidas Terrex Freehiker GTX (v1 not the v2). Always loved them for hikes as don’t let water in and certainly grippy.
Last few hikes I’ve moved on to Altras which I’m really enjoying especially with the zero drop and cushioned sole. Still do love my freehikers although since wearing Altras they don’t feel as cushioned. Next time I wear them I think I’ll change to thicker insoles.
@@krisgleave oh thanks . Interesting. I like a vibram style sole and a wide toe box I’ll have a look.
Today you liked my photo and decided to check your profile and you had some very good photos and especially like their colour now found your YT and liked it, you have a new sub buddy.
Aww cheers Pierre. Yeah spotted your content I think in Paul’s group if I remember rightly? Nice to have you onboard ☺️
@@krisgleave Yep, my first solo camp ☺️
Looked great. It’s addictive isn’t it too! I haven’t camped yet in 2023 but I’ll be getting out soon.
@@krisgleave Tge conditions here compared to yours are totally different, here temp does not go below 5’C, and mostly at night is 10’C, but not forrest’s or mountains but planty of sea
@@PierreFarrugia Aah yes I see. I do fancy doing some overseas hikes this year and already have a couple I’m looking at. Time to hike in some nicer weather 🤙🏼
That's not the montane trailblazer backpack.... can't have nowt 😅😅
I’ve had that for over 2 years 😂
"I think I'm right", "Going over there somewhere", lol have you no map or GPS 😀😀😀??
Got to be the most ugliest of mountains next to nevis
It’s not too bad but I agree it’s not the best however the summit itself has some interest. Personally I’ve never been a big fan of Great Gable.
@krisgleave agreed, Gable top is ugly as well...
rocking it again mate - keep up the great work :)
Cheers Bilbo appreciate it fella 🤙🏼
@@krisgleave i will recommend your channel to my mates as well so you can get more subscribers - give me a few days !
That’s very kind thank you 🤙🏼
