I was born in 82’, these were the first toys I ever remember really having an impact on my childhood, to this day when I pick up certain MOTU figs I’m literally transported to vivid memories. Great video!
I was born in 1979, I grew up with MOTU This is my Top 5: 1. He-Man regular, this toy changed the way toys were made and defined the meaning of STRONG 2. Skeletor regular, Excellent design and skin color, weapons and face that broke with the canons of villains and heroes 3. Stratos. It was my first original toy and I lost it the next day at kindergarten. It also has an innovative concept and a spectacular sculpture that we would only see after decades with McFarlane. 4. Trap Jaw. Amazing and crazy concept. 5. Skeletor terror claws. It is definitely a WORK OF ART the design, the painting of the chest protector is a gem, in addition to the engineering and distribution of the weapons, that was creativity. Greetings from Bolivia 🇧🇴
Was born in 74 so I was around obviously for MOTU and one Christmas morning I walk out to the living room to see Castle Grayskull,Battle Ram,He-Man, Skeletor,Man-At-Arms,and Trap Jaw it was the best Christmas ever ! My top 3 would have to be 1.Man-E-Faces 2.Trap Jaw 3.Tri-Klops for years after that I purchased many other figures and traded back n forth with my best friend together we had this massive collection I just recently purchased off ebay in Near mint with all weapons Zodac,Buzz-Off,Fisto,Jitsu,Mantenna,and Leech i just started collecting them again at 48 years young lol
3. Scare Glow - Scarier looking than Skeletor, and glows in the dark! 2. Extendar - His design is like no other in the toy line, no re-used parts, he's a robotic Knight, and he doubles in size! 1. Fisto - He's super manly, and I've just always loved the idea of 1 huge metal fist. I always pretended he could KO anyone with 1 punch.
We used to garage sale when i was young and we had like 6 hordacks. His Armour was interchangeable with other figures so if it clipped on right they often had his cool cape.
Dragon Blaster Skeletor is so cool, I had moved to Thundercats before Ninjor came out. I remember having Thunder Punch He-man as a kid but I hated it, had to put sword in wrong hand and it fell out etc and I was not really into cap guns.
Skeletor was my very first MOTU action figure. I wound up with probably 30. My sister and I loved playing with Ram Man, and if you had his legs pushed up in his body, you could spin him on his head like a top lol. I actually came up with and drew a character named Sawtor, who had saws for weapons and a toothed metal jaw. I sent it to Mattel, and they send back a nice thanks but no thanks letter. The Trapjaw figure came out within a year of that. Fuckers. I never saw any of those snake ones though.
This was my most cherished toy line from my childhood. I was fortunate to have both castles, both cats, most vehicles but I was never able to find a Sorceress. My top 3 would have to be: 3) Webster or Trap Jaw 2) Ram Man 1) Battle Armor Damaged He-Man / Skelator Thanks for bringing back fond memories, he still HAS THE POWERRRRRRRR!!!!
My top 3 is: Jitsu (love the gimmick with his arm), Trap-Jaw (I don't have him unfortunatly), and at number #1.... He-Man, he is the man that started it all!!
Saurod is a severely underrated figure that I'm surprised more people don't love. Even if you allow for the fact that a lot of people didn't like the movie thst spawned him, he was easily the best designed new character, and I think the spark shooting "laser breath " was one of the coolest action features of the vintage line.
My top 3 will always be: 1: Trap Jaw, love swapping the weapons out, 2: Man-At-Arms, lovedhis Armor and Weapon 3: Triclops, facinated by his Eyerays in the show
Cool little video and I’m lovin your choices. Sooooo many great figures and characters to choose from but I would have to go with Hordak, Trapjaw and He Man. Stay safe bro....
My favorite was the skunk guy, but ironically not one I owned; I did have MerMan though. He-Man was WAY after my time so I only had what I could find second hand. I remember visiting an antique mall that had a bunch for $3 a pop but my mom only let me get one! Of my small childhood crew I think the favorites were MerMan, Buzz Off, the lobster guy and a super beat up Skeletor :)
Born in 79. I had all you listed, I’d put Dragon Blaster Skeletor towards the top, to my 4 year old mind it came with REAL chains, this wasn’t a toy it was serious stuff!
I was born in 78'. I remember waking up 6 am wearing my cowboy pajamas that my great grand mother had sewed for me, grab a bowl of cereal and fling myself onto the couch and watch- He-Man and the masters of the universe. I watched every show and between my brother and I, we had every toy that was produced. Even the ladies, like Teela, Evil-Lyn and Sorceress. It was a show of good vs evil and Good would win. For a little boy this was key into understanding that there is something important to doing the right thing. This would be echoed in almost all 80's cartoons and He-Man was the first. AND the best. Even if he was a brute of a man with all his muscles and could bench press a mountain, he was gentle in spirit and would come to the aid of the weak and lift them up. That is a true hero. And then he would slink away and pretend to be Adam so his friends and family could remain safe. I wish in ways, we could return to some of the old cartoons, flop on our favorite couch and be transported back when our hearts just needed unbroken heroes to save the day.
I was born in 85, so I have very little memories MOTU as a kid, but I'm a big collector of it now! My top three of the vintage line are 3. Fakor 2. Saurod 1. Rattlor
Stinkor is my number 1 for sure. Every Stinkor figure I’ve come across at you shows or thrift shops still has that faint smell...I love it. They don’t make toys like that anymore.
@@EdsRetroGeekOut Im not sure of my ranking exactly, but I would definitely include Thunder Punch He-Man (I had a broken regular He-Man, so T.P. was my main He-Man for many years) and Evil-Lyn was such a great figure, the yellow skin, the green eye makeup, the staff. I also LOVED Clamp Champ because he looked tough, yet happy, and had a great weapon.
I'm old school MOTU so I prefer Skeletor to Hordak. Scare Glow was awesome though and I wish he had been earlier in the line. He would have been one of my favorites for sure. Glow in the dark skeletons are cool especially when your a kid. I would pick one up but there very expensive these days and I didn't have it growing up. I checked out on MOTU around 1985. Great list
Skeletor, Hordak, and Mosquitor are the 1st figures I remember owning as a kid. Interestingly enough, I don't really remember much about the show itself.
I have Mossman and when I was a kid I couldn't play with him all that much because the smell of him always use to make me feel sick. I don't know what they used but it didn't sit right with me. I also have Tongue Lasher still in almost mint condition. Got Mosqitor too. LOL. AND Hordak. My Hordak is the Buzzsaw Hordak version.
I Had a "BattleBones" Full of Figures Back In TheDay. My Favorite Figure was TheClearRobotGuy. I also Had BattleCat & TheSkeletorCastle...with The Microphone Thing. I Kept My Stinkor in a Jar With a Lid!
Scare Glow is probably my favorite villain in the line, and you having him at number 2 tells me I’m not alone in my appreciation of him. I really wish he would have made an appearance in the show, but he released later in the line when new shows weren’t being made. Conspicuously missing here is Roboto! He was my all-time favorite MOTU figure!
I was introduced to He-Man figures from my parents buying them for me at yard sales and whatnot...👌🏼💯✔ I also got to watch the TV show as a child too because of the reruns...👍🏼 So I had a pretty good MOTU childhood...🤪
Great list Ed. I had Triclops and Hordak from your list. My top 5 would be Trapjaw, Modulak, Snout Spout, (the extending knight guy, can't remember his name) and Rio Blast, of the figures I had in my collection.
I had loads of He-Man figures and loved playing with them. My top 3 were 1. Squeeze 2. Hordak Horde trooper 3. Can’t remember the name but I had a Skeletor with a dragon on his shoulder that squirted water
Thanks Ed! Glad to see a couple of my favourites on your list - Sssqueeze and Tung Lashor! I’d add Two Bad for the same reasons - the colors just pop! (Honorable mention goes to Snout Spout!)
1. Orko (sure the size of Orko is way too big compared to the cartoon, doubt he makes many top 5-10-15-20 lists let alone #1, but he holds a very nostalgic place in my heart. This figure was so hard to find when it came out. I got it for Christmas that year from my grandmother. She would always find me the hardest to find figures...pretty much is the reason I had so many awesome toys as a kid. It remains one of my favorite Christmas presents ever. She passed away in 2017 and I have Orko sitting next to a framed photo of her.) 2. Trap Jaw 3. Skeletor 4. Man-E-Faces (first figure I ever got) 5. Scare Glow (by 1987 MOTU was winding down as was my obsession so as a kid I didn't get all of the figures from that final wave including Scare Glow. Didn't own it as a kid but always thought it was one of the coolest looking figures)
I was born in '73 so these were very popular in my childhood. I had a lot of the figures back in the day. To pick only 3 is extremely tough, but I'd have to say my number 1 is Skeletor just because his voice was so epic. My number 2 would definitely be Trapjaw, And my number 3 is quite a jump in years but I gotta go with Grizzlor. 😅
3. TrapJaw 2. Jitsu 1. Stratos I remember when this line hit the shelves. They were sold out everywhere! The sculpt, the mini comics, and the supporting playsets/vehicles made this the most exciting toyline we had ever seen. ...until GIJoe 😂
I remember getting a king Hiss at a flea market and as I was leaving with my mom I discovered that his torso separated and there were snakes inside. Well, my mom HATED snakes, and needless to say to this day I've been in possession of King Hiss for less than half an hour. If I'd only been smart enough not to mention it, she would have never known. Memories... My other favorites were Hordak and I had battle damage Skeletor and He-Man. I also liked the two headed bad guy with the swinging arms, whatever his name is he threw some serious punches, and the other green guy with the round face that shoots water. He-man's glider and Battle-cat were also great though, but my castle greyskull was always an incomplete hollow shell with no accessories.
I guess i was the only fan of Thunder Punch Heman. There was also a toy line in 83 called Imperial Toys Dragon Knights & Daggers it made really cool toys.
No Trap jaw? Interesting. I remember losing my Moss man in my grandparents front lawn one time I was being rushed back inside. Never found him again. Someone had to have found him and took it
My top 3 are only ones that i own, but there’re ones i really want. 3: Tongue Lashor 2: Trapjaw 1: Rio Blast. There’s just something so cool about this figure, shame he never made it into the original cartoon
1) dragon blaster Skeletor 2) scare glow 3) orko (child nostalgia for me) 4) fisto (same nostalgic reasons some of my first figures) 5) hordak 6) saurod (love the action feature) 7) clawfull 8) tung lashor (same reason as Ed the popping colours) 9) Webstor 10) spikor Always loved the bad guys more than a lot of the good ones and the popping colours did it for me also and stil do it today. Motu is my favorite toyline from my childhood and got me into collecting. And than came the turtles, ghost busters, boglins, Madballs, mask, and so on 😂 it is getting out of hand like with every collector 😅
No TrapJaw!! I lived in KY and never even saw one in store until my grandma bought one for me in Ohio and gave it to me. My friends didn't believe me til they saw him. Him and Evil Lynn(sp) she had it going on man!
I really need to look at my collection but my all time #1 is Meck a neck. Two- bad, Tri-clops, Trap-jaw, Battle armor He-man, qnd even Ram-man is definitely in my top 10.
I was playing with MOTU toys when they first came out. I was playing with them before the cartoon came out, and I did not like the cartoon (even though I still watched it). My top 5 were: 1. Skeletor (original) 2. He Man (original) 3. Trap Jaw 4. Man-E-Faces (Because he had many faces) 5. Hordak
I was born in 82’, these were the first toys I ever remember really having an impact on my childhood, to this day when I pick up certain MOTU figs I’m literally transported to vivid memories. Great video!
I love it as well! These toys made such an impact on me back in the day its such a joy to hold em again! 🤓👌
Excellent video thanks! ❤.
My top ten vintage motu
1. Sssqueeze
2. Rattlor
3. Moss Man
4. Stinkor
5. Skeletor
6. Scare Glow
7. Modulok
8. Grizzlor
9. Leech
10. Clawful
I’m a 78’ baby and grew up with all of them, but I absolutely love beast man, skelatore and my plain Jane wonder bread/ savage he man!
Awesome 🤘
Whoa .... all figures r in great conditions. Simply beautiful.
Good old Tri-Klops. First action figure I ever got. Christmas Eve 1983.
I was born in 1979, I grew up with MOTU

1. He-Man regular, this toy changed the way toys were made and defined the meaning of STRONG

You can never have enough hordaks
Nice list Ed. My top 3 figures might be: Ninjor, Thunder Punch He-Man, Dragon Blaster Skeletor.
Dragon blaster skeletor is pretty darn tight 😁🤘
Dragon Blaster Skeletor is so cool, I had moved to Thundercats before Ninjor came out. I remember having Thunder Punch He-man as a kid but I hated it, had to put sword in wrong hand and it fell out etc and I was not really into cap guns.

The Snake Men line was awesome, among my favorite in the 80's from MOTU
So cool 🤘🤓
This was my most cherished toy line from my childhood. I was fortunate to have both castles, both cats, most vehicles but I was never able to find a Sorceress. My top 3 would have to be:
3) Webster or Trap Jaw
2) Ram Man
1) Battle Armor Damaged He-Man / Skelator
Thanks for bringing back fond memories, he still HAS THE POWERRRRRRRR!!!!
My top 3 is: Jitsu (love the gimmick with his arm), Trap-Jaw (I don't have him unfortunatly), and at number #1.... He-Man, he is the man that started it all!!
He-man! Awesome top 3!

I like him but not a top 10’r for me 🤓
Yes i thought Saurod was bad ass too
Amazing choices. Love the Motu line. My all time favorite.
Thanks buddy 👌
I've only recently started collecting MOTU but have a soft spot for some of the ones I had as a kid like Fisto and Roboto.
Roboto’s mechanism is awesome
My top 3 will always be:
1: Trap Jaw, love swapping the weapons out,
2: Man-At-Arms, lovedhis Armor and Weapon
3: Triclops, facinated by his Eyerays in the show
Trap jaw is appearing in so many top 3’s its insane
Cool little video and I’m lovin your choices. Sooooo many great figures and characters to choose from but I would have to go with Hordak, Trapjaw and He Man. Stay safe bro....
Thanks so much buddy 🤠
Great choices. Il have to do my own list 1day lol I'd have spikor and stinkor in mine
Stinkor with real smell! 😎🤘🤘

MOTU FOREVERRR!!!🤘😎🤗👽💙
3) Moss Man
2) Trap Jaw
1)Stinkor
Mossman! 🤘🤘🤘

Sorceress is pretty epic 🤘
I asked my dad for He Man for Christmas and he got me steroids and a gym membership ( I was 5 ) :P
lol
Elementary school would let us go at 3:00 pm we would all run home to watch He-Man that started at 3:00pm
I was born in 85, so I have very little memories MOTU as a kid, but I'm a big collector of it now! My top three of the vintage line are
3. Fakor
2. Saurod
1. Rattlor
Saurod is so cool lookin!
Baby Rattle was so cool :D
3. Stinkor (mine still smells) Man E Faces almost a tie for 3rd
2. He Man
1. Battle Cat
Great picks dude 🤠🤘
Stinkor is my number 1 for sure. Every Stinkor figure I’ve come across at you shows or thrift shops still has that faint smell...I love it. They don’t make toys like that anymore.
Christopher Kirby indeed and the moss man scent seems to have worn off but stinkor is still smelling proudly 🤣
"He is a snake and thats why he has long snake arms?" I know what you meant, but it struck me as funny. Thanks for your videos!
Thanks for watching 🤓🤘
My rankings would be very different, but I definitely respect this list. Nice picks, and nice logic behind them
Thanks dude! Who would you pick?
@@EdsRetroGeekOut Im not sure of my ranking exactly, but I would definitely include Thunder Punch He-Man (I had a broken regular He-Man, so T.P. was my main He-Man for many years) and Evil-Lyn was such a great figure, the yellow skin, the green eye makeup, the staff. My top 4 Man-e-faces,Moss man,Extendar and Meganeck.Thx Ed nice show.Be safe be bless take care everyone.
Extendar! 🤩
Clawful, Faker, Trapjaw are some of my favorites. Nobody ever gives any love to Clawful but his face sculpt is great and that claw is cool
Clawfull is oretty nice indeed 🤗
appolospbvxr agreed, Clawful is pretty cool
Everybody has their own choices and Clawful is a masterpiece action figure

Shame indeed he didn’t appear earlier 🤓
Skeletor, Hordak, and Mosquitor are the 1st figures I remember owning as a kid. Interestingly enough, I don't really remember much about the show itself.
Mosquitor is soo good 🤘
Great list! Here's my top 3!
1) Thunder Punch He-Man

I also Had BattleCat & TheSkeletorCastle...with The Microphone Thing. I Kept My Stinkor in a Jar With a Lid!
Battlebones! 🤘
Snake mountain speaker brings back bad memories lol

I really wish he would have made an appearance in the show, but he released later in the line when new shows weren’t being made. Conspicuously missing here is Roboto! Great list Ed. I had Triclops and Hordak from your list. My top 5 would be Trapjaw, Modulak, Snout Spout, (the extending knight guy, can't remember his name) and Rio Blast, of the figures I had in my collection.
Cool video ED , trap jaw is one of my favorites ( I’m still waiting for my contest price😭 lol )
It’s gonna come along next week I should be able to go to the post office 🤘🕺🏻
I had loads of He-Man figures and loved playing with them. My top 3 were 1. Squeeze 2. Hordak Horde trooper 3. Can’t remember the name but I had a Skeletor with a dragon on his shoulder that squirted water

Still awesome figures 😁
Loved she-ra and he-man I was born on myself until 84. But I came upon them on TH-cam.
Ed! Congratulations on 7k subscribers 🙏
Thanks so much 🕺🏻
3. TrapJaw
2. Jitsu
1. Stratos
I remember when this line hit the shelves. They were sold out everywhere! The sculpt, the mini comics, and the supporting playsets/vehicles made this the most exciting toyline we had ever seen.
...until GIJoe 😂
Nice Tops. I was never in MOTU, but in 1985 a friend of mine had all figures (mostly all and the castles) und wie played toogether with it.
Some of the best toys ever made!
I had quite a few of these guys in the early 80’s as well as Castle Grey Skull!
I love these toys! Grey skull is probably my favorite playset ever!
Hordack (or however you spell it) was one of the only motu figure I ever had as a child (I also had some blue dude with yellow armor)
Was it faker? With orange armor?
Ed's Retro Geek Out after a lot of searching I think it was Sy-Clone
1. Original Skeletor
2. Original He-man
3. Merman (loved his gear and sword, which don't think ever got re-used for anyone)
Merman! 🤘🔥
No but his head was used for stinkor
Friggin' Awesome 'Jan Zonder Vrees' Custom 'Kludde de Kwelgeest' you showed there ! Shout out to you from a fellow Belgian !
Yeah it’s a belgian that makes these. Jevaho Creations on instagram he might actually still have 1 or 2 😁
Top 3, man at arms, skeletor and trap jaw . Great video
Thanks for watching and damn lotsa people like trap jaw 🤠
Most were great figures 👍
Snake face has his snake staff .. oh he sure does 😀
You know it! 🤪🤘
Awesome 🤓 i still want that glider 🤘
This masters of the universe video was verry Nice to Watch. Keep going.
While im at it my top three would be Rio blast at 3, Snake face at 2, and Dragstor at 1, but i loved every figure that came out.

I’m not sure about top 3 but Trapjaw has to b in my top 10
Trapjaw is getting lotsa love 🤠
Yupppp
Trap Jaw, Zodac and Stratos are my Favorites..
trap jaw will always be my favorite. together with the horde trooper and modulok.
I guess i was the only fan of Thunder Punch Heman. There was also a toy line in 83 called
Imperial Toys Dragon Knights & Daggers it made really cool toys.
Imperial Toys 🤠 love those!
No Trap jaw? Interesting. I remember losing my Moss man in my grandparents front lawn one time I was being rushed back inside. Never found him again. Someone had to have found him and took it
1. Dragon Blaster Skeletor, 2. Trap Jaw, 3. Webster (cool to leave hanging around), 4. Rattler (A baby rattle with a Ram man punch), 5. Fisto, 6. Beastman (just looks so cool), 7. He-man, 8. Man-E Faces, 9. Mekeneak, 10 Tri-Clops
Beastman looks cool indeed 🤘🤘🤘
Agree with all 10 and I could add like 20 more how cool it still is 😎
Wow. Great video. Love it
My top 3 are only ones that i own, but there’re ones i really want.
3: Tongue Lashor
2: Trapjaw
1: Rio Blast. There’s just something so cool about this figure, shame he never made it into the original cartoon
1) dragon blaster Skeletor
2) scare glow
3) orko (child nostalgia for me)
4) fisto (same nostalgic reasons some of my first figures)
5) hordak
6) saurod (love the action feature)
7) clawfull
8) tung lashor (same reason as Ed the popping colours)
9) Webstor
10) spikor
Always loved the bad guys more than a lot of the good ones and the popping colours did it for me also and stil do it today. Motu is my favorite toyline from my childhood and got me into collecting. And than came the turtles, ghost busters, boglins, Madballs, mask, and so on 😂 it is getting out of hand like with every collector 😅
Nice 😁
No TrapJaw!! I lived in KY and never even saw one in store until my grandma bought one for me in Ohio and gave it to me. My friends didn't believe me til they saw him. Him and Evil Lynn(sp) she had it going on man!
Think you could do a video on your least favorite/most disappointing MotU figures? That would be fun to see.
Id be up for doing that 🤓🤘
mine is battlecat always has and still will be my number 1 childhood toy and the ghotbusters projector gun hour a fun in my grans hallway walls lol
Battlecat is a great one 😁
Big like Ed 👍

I was playing with MOTU toys when they first came out. I was playing with them before the cartoon came out, and I did not like the cartoon (even though I still watched it).
