    The thing i react to is that he doe'snt mention that the RA transmission has a lot less retio so it feels a lot more like a rally car(i have one of those fitted into my gt) and is much more "enjoyable to drive :)) and it gives you're 218hp more thrust

    The theory they don’t break down is a bit far fetched but for the most part that’s true. If you keep your car stock, cycle new fluids, and change the oil it’s not going to break down until you hit extreme mileage. That’s keeping it stock.

      @Watch Fixerupper I've been driving subarus for 16 years and Ive owned and still own em. It's a common subaru joke. If they dont blow a head gasket, they will starve of oil and blow up. As much as I love subarus and my 2.5rs coupe, it's got undeniable flaws.

    • @KDD8
      @KDD8 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Watch Fixerupper I've owned the 1999 subaru 2.2l for 10 years since high school and have put 200k km on it. Most reliable car I've ever owned. It took so many beatings and i drove it to the ground and it still ran. I love my 1999 2.5rs the original motor did have a head gasket leak. I did swap it for a JDM ej20k doing a hybrid build with 205 heads and intake manifold. Funny how I'm talking about this because tomorrow is the first day I'll be bringing it out this year. Still needs a tune but expecting 240 whp. It's not really modded though. Actually close block decks were some what more on the rare side being a bit more common in the turbo legacies in the early 90's. some of the wrx's and sti's did but it did get switched to a semi closed or open deck block i think around 96/97 from japan of course.

      @@KDD8 you and OP obviously don’t know much about Subaru.. Head gaskets in WRXs were not an issue subaru faced until the 2000s when they came out with the 2.5l engine.. The EJ20 and EJ22 engines are bullet proof and a lot of gc8 WRXs are still out there running perfectly fine 20+ years later. I love when non Subaru people comment about head gaskets on a model of Subaru that never even suffered that issue. The internet makes ignorant people feel smart and informed when they aren’t lol

      @@transient442 lol you clown, I've been driving subarus for 10 years and ive owned 3. 2.2L which was an incredibly reliable car which eventually i sold and it did have a head gasket issue. 2.5L rs which did have a head gasket issue too. I swapped a 2.0L JDM turbo motor into it which has only had about 5k km on it since ive been working on it for the last 5 years which was completed last september. Tell me I dont know much about subarus. Spent 5 years building a 2.0L turbo swapped it into a LHD 99 2.5rs coupe. Not including the other cars i've owned and worked on during the 10 year owner ship. I'd like to think I know a thing or two about subarus.
